Chapter Thirty-Five: A Day In The Life Of Ravyn Garrison (Pt. 2)

Chapter Thirty-Five: A Day In The Life Of Ravyn Garrison (Pt. 2)

~ Monday, May 9th, 2010; 5:30 am ~

The sound of a melodic scream resonated off the walls of Ravyn and Angel's room as Ravyn and Angel's alarm, "Perfect Weapon" by Black Veil Brides, went off, letting them know it was time to get up for school. Ravyn rolled over and picked her phone up off the ground, shutting off the alarm. She groaned in protest, not wanting to get up this morning. But she knew that in the end she had to. She turned over and looked at Angel, who had rolled over and went back to bed after Ravyn had shut off the alarm. She smiled over at him and placed a kiss on his temple before she rolled out of bed and blindly grabbed some clothes from their closet, grabbing clothes for Angel as well and laying them out on her side of the bed. She then took her clothes and went into the bathroom to take a shower.

Once she was out of the shower, she plugged in her hair straightener and looked at her hair in the mirror, it having returned to it's natural curly state. She also noticed that her hair was beginning to turn red at the roots, meaning she would soon have to dye it once again. "I'm going to have to go see Alannah after school today," she mumbled as she began running her hair through the straightener, steam rising from the two heated plates as she ran it down her wet hair. She flinched in pain when the steam hit her scalp at one point but ignored the pain and continued to do her hair.

An hour later, Ravyn shut off her straightener, her hair now pin straight once again. She opened the drawer next to the sink and pulled out her "Goth" make-up kit, pulling out her black eyeliner, eye shadows, and purple/black lipstick. She lined her upper and lower eyelids with the black eyeliner before she pulled out two of her eye shadow brushes and began her work on doing her shadow. She started off with a bright green coloured shadow, brushing the colour onto her lids until it hit the half way mark. She then took her black eye shadow and brushed it on the other half of her lids, seamlessly blending the two together as she did. She pulled her bottle of mascara out and brushed it onto both her upper and lower lashes. She put her eye shadow, liner and mascara back into her kit and picked up her lipstick, applying it onto her lips until they were a dark almost black colour. She smiled into the mirror, her fangs showing when she did. "There we go. All done," she said, placing her lipstick back in her kit. She put her kit away and then pulled out her brush and a black scrunchie, brushing out her hair as she did so and bringing half of her hair up and pulling it into a half pony tail, with two black strands pulled out and framing her face. "There, all better," she said to herself. She looked down at her slightly distended belly and placed both her hands on either side. "Momma thinks she looks pretty good today my little ones, what do you think?" She asked her stomach, smiling brightly. No movement happened from within her belly, but Ravyn knew, she'd done enough research on babies and pregnancies over the years, that at this stage in her pregnancy the babies could hear her, even if they weren't moving around just yet.

Ravyn quickly dressed in her black t-shirt, this one also with a Batman symbol on it, just like the one she had worn the other day when Vixen and the others had come by, and pulled on her black faded jeans, having to suck in her belly a little just to be able to button them up. "I'm gonna have to go clothes shopping soon to. Hopefully Jerr can lend me a couple bucks so I can do so, seeing as we have bills coming up soon and we need the money that Faith's giving us to pay them," she grumbled, then rubbed her belly once more. "You two are making Mommy unable to wear her clothes! Why would you do that to mommy?" She asked, giggling. Again, no movement whatsoever, and again, Ravyn hadn't expected there to be. She smiled. "I can't stay mad at you two. It's okay, Mommy will just have to ask Daddy and Uncle Jerr to take me clothes shopping sometime, this way I have clothes that make it easier for you two to grow up in," she whispered, giggling again as she spoke to her twins. "Come on, let's go make Daddy and Auntie Kat some breakfast," she whispered, picking up her clothes and towel and heading back into her room where she searched around until she found her clothes hamper and placed her dirty clothes inside. She then made her way towards the door, taking a moment to go over and search under Angel's pillow for his phone and shutting off the alarm he had set up to go off at seven.

Ravyn quietly made her way into the kitchen, turning on the light as she went and went into the fridge, pulling out eggs and milk. She then went over to her cupboards and opened them, pulling down a large metal mixing bowl. She grabbed a canister labeled flour and another labeled sugar and grabbed some measuring cups from the cupboard as well. She looked down at her belly and rubbed it once more. "I think I'm gonna make pancakes from scratch this morning, not with that nasty bisquick stuffs," she whispered, smiling. She had learned how to make pancakes and other things from scratch thanks to her Nana and Papa, who had owned a country style restaurant, and still did to this day. She had been made to believe that her grandparents hadn't wanted her years ago by her mother, who had been on bad terms with her Papa ever since her Mom had married her Dad.

A few months back, after she had found out she was pregnant, she went to make amends with them, hoping that they would not feel the same about her as they had her mother and that they would hopefully be apart of her children's lives, unlike they had been unable to do with her for many years thanks to her mother. All because her father was who he was. She found out that instead, they had never stopped loving her and that they had been told she had died around the same time her mother had perished at Vegas and his pack's hands. So they had been quiet surprised to find her on their doorstep years later, telling them that she was indeed alive and that she was about to have children of her own. They took her back into their lives, not even minding that Angel, who had come with her, was a werewolf like her father had been. They had just been so happy to see her alive and they accepted both her and Angel even more once they found out that she and Angel were Hunters, just as they had once been years ago. It had been an emotional time for Ravyn and her newfound- once again- family members. She had believed that she had no family left. Her father's mother wanted nothing to do with her anymore after she had found out that Ravyn had taken the same path as her mother. And her Grandpa Steven? Well, she hadn't heard from him since she had told him to go into hiding from Vegas and his pack shortly after her father had been murdered, knowing that, since Steven had once been the Ambassador for the Shape-Shifter's much like her father had been for the Vampires, Vegas would be looking for him in hopes that he would do what his son had not. And so she had made her Grandpa and his wife go into hiding, and she hadn't heard from him since. That had been years ago. She knew of course, where he was though. Jarreth had been the one to help her get her Grandpa and Grandma to a safe place and Jarreth took time out of his day once a month, to go to the place where they were hidden and check on them. And though it hurt her not being able to be in contact with one of the men who had helped to raise her and teach her all the things about the side of her that her mother had refused to acknowledge, she knew it was better this way. If she was ever captured and tortured, the people who had captured her would never be able to get her Grandpa's whereabouts out of her. Of that she had made sure. She had had Jarreth cast an incantation on her to where, while she knew where her Grandpa WAS, she wouldn't be able to speak it if asked (or demanded), and if anyone ever searched her mind, they would find that she had no idea where he was, therefore making her useless to anyone who wanted to know. In the end, once she had gotten back in touch with her Nana and Papa, they had been teaching her all the recipes they used at the restaurant they owned. And that included the pancake recipe she was about to make.

Ravyn measured out the flour, sugar, and salt that she needed for the recipe and placed them all in the mixing bowl before she added the eggs, milk and small bit of vanilla bean that she had grabbed from the cupboard as well. She whisked all the ingredients together thoroughly before she went and placed the used items in the sink to be washed once she was done. She then placed the flour, sugar, and salt canisters back in their right places and put the eggs and milk away in the fridge. She pulled out a large non-stick skillet from a bottom cupboard next to the stove and placed it on the gas stove, turning the dial until it was at the number/temperature she wanted it at. She went into the fridge and pulled out a stick of butter, taking a moment to grease the skillet with it before placing it back inside the fridge. She then waited for the pan to heat up to the temperature she needed.

Once the pan was hot enough, Ravyn grabbed a black plastic ladle from the side holder of her butcher's block, where she kept her large kitchen knives, steak knives, and kitchen scissors and proceeded to ladle out portions of the pancake batter. She did this repeatedly, pulling out a plate and placing the pancakes on it once they were done. Once she had finished with the pancakes, she grabbed the eggs from the fridge once more and cracked six open, three at a time, and let the yokes fall into the still hot pan, where she proceeded to make eggs, sunny side up, for her, Angel, and Katerina. Once she was finished, she took down three plates and placed two eggs on each plate before she placed three pancakes on two of the plates and the remaining four on the plate she had made for Angel. She put the eggs away and grabbed the wheat bread and white, placing two slices of the wheat and four of the white in the toaster and setting it to toast. Once the breads had popped back up, letting her know they were finished, Ravyn pulled out the butter and buttered all six pieces, putting the apricot jelly she had grabbed on the wheat, and the strawberry jelly she had also grabbed on one of the sets of white. She placed the jelly'd wheat toast on her plate, then placed the jelly'd white toast on Katerina's, and finally placed the plain buttered white toast on Angel's plate. She then cast a quick heating spell over the three plates this way they would stay warm and placed them all on the small kitchen table before going over and washing up the dishes she had used.

Once she was done, she wiped her hands clean and went back down the hallway and opened Katerina's door quietly, coming into the room and walking up to her sister's sleeping form. She nudged her sister softly. "It's time to get up Kitty-Kat," she whispered as she nudged her sister. Katerina groaned in protest and rolled over, rubbing her eyes. "Five more minutes, please sis?" She begged. Ravyn smiled and kissed her forehead. "Five minutes. But then you have to get up, okay? I already have breakfast set up in the kitchen. I made pancakes from scratch, along with eggs and toast with strawberry jelly," she whispered, grinning when Katerina's eyes widened. "Pancakes? From scratch?" She asked. Ravyn nodded. "Yep," she said back. Katerina sat bolt up right in bed then and grinned. "I'm up!" She exclaimed, rolling out of bed and almost face planting. Ravyn giggled and shook her head before she left her sister alone to get ready for school. She closed the door and then went into her own room, ignoring the room and closed door that was once Sorcha's. It was still painful for her to walk by that room and not have to go in to wake up her elder sister and tell her it was time to get up so she could get ready for her job as a waitress at P. Wexford's Pub.

Ravyn walked into her room and smiled at the sight she saw. Angel was still dead asleep, his arms wrapped around the large fluffy teddy bear with a heart nose that he had gotten for her this past Valentine's Day. Soft snores could be heard from him as he snuggled deeper into the bear, his body not registering yet that it wasn't Ravyn that he was snuggling with. Ravyn giggled and grabbed her phone off the ground, opening up the camera app she had and zooming in on Angel and his sleeping form. Normally she wouldn't take a picture of Angel while he slept, it was something he didn't like being done (he said it was like an invasion of privacy or something like that), but Ravyn couldn't resist such a cute sight. She quickly snapped the picture and then put it as her home screen wallpaper. She walked over to the bed and lightly pulled the bear from Angel's grasp, laying down, placing his arm around her belly. Angel moved in his sleep, tightening his hold on Ravyn, who giggled as she heard her sister head for the bathroom. Katerina popped her head through the door. "Do you need to use the bathroom? I'm gonna take a quick shower and stuff," she whispered, ducking her head as she saw Angel still asleep. Ravyn shook her head. "Make it quick, Angel's gonna need to use it when he gets up," she whispered back. Katerina nodded and ducked out of the room, closing the bathroom door quietly as she entered. Ravyn listened as she heard the shower turn on and Katerina squeak when the cold water hit her. She rolled her eyes. "Dumbass," she whispered, then smiled when she felt Angel move his hand over her belly and begin to rub it lightly in his sleep.

Ravyn waited until her sister was finished and out of the bathroom to turn over in Angel's arms and kiss his lips lightly. "Angel, baby, it's time to get up," she whispered, knowing it would take him a moment or two to fully wake up. Angel sighed in his sleep and his arms tightened around her again. "Is Kat out of the shower yet?" He mumbled sleepily. Ravyn nodded. "Yeah. You need to get up, breakfast is all ready for you once your done, now come on," she kissed his lips again and started to get up, but Angel pulled her back down and snuggled up to her once more. Ravyn laughed and pried his arm off of her before getting up. "Come on Babe, get up," she said as she rolled out of bed. Angel groaned but sat up in bed, scrubbing a hand down his face as he did. "What time is it?" He asked. Ravyn looked at her phone. "It just turned seven. Come on, we don't want to be late for school," she said, leaning ovet the bed and kissing his cheek. Angel just grunted before he scooted to the bottom of the bed and got out. "I laid out some clothes for you for after you take a shower. I'll meet you in the kitchen where breakfast is all ready for you," she said as she left the room.

Ravyn went into the kitchen and found Katerina already sitting down and tucking into her plate of food, pouring mass amounts of syrup on her pancakes and eggs. Ravyn rolled her eyes as she heard the shower turn on again and Angel get inside. She went over to her side of the table and tucked into her own plate of food. She giggled when Katerina groaned in pleasure. "These are maybe the BEST pancakes I have ever tasted!" She exclaimed as she dug more thoroughly into her food. Ravyn just rolled her eyes again and continued to eat her toast.

Angel came into the kitchen a moment later and ruffled Katerina's honey blonde hair before going over and placing a kiss on Ravyn's cheek. "Smell's awesome babygirl," he said as he sat down. Katerina nodded in agreement. "Tastes even better!" She said through a mouthful of food. Both Angel and Ravyn glared at her. "Don't talk with your mouth full!" They both scolded in unison. Katerina just rolled her eyes and continued to eat.

A short while later, once everyone was finished, Ravyn collected the plates and began to take them over to the sink to wash them but Angel took them from her before she could. "I'll take care of this, you go sit down," he growled, kissing her lips. Ravyn started to protest but Angel cut her off. "No butts. Go," he said, pointing out of the kitchen. Ravyn huffed in protest but did as she was told. She went back into the bedroom and gathered up her school books, sketch pad, tracing pad and pens and pencils, placing them all haphazardly in her black backpack and throwing it over her shoulder. She popped her head into Katerina's room where she saw her sister just finishing up on her own make-up. "Ready to go?" She asked. Katerina nodded and threw her lip gloss in her backpack before grabbing the bag and heading out of the room and into the living room where Angel now waited, sitting on the couch. "Ready?" Ravyn asked. Angel nodded and got up, unlocking the front door and walking outside and down the steps, heading for the truck, Ravyn and Katerina following close behind.

Once they got to Enochs Katerina waved goodbye to her sister and Angel and headed off towards her first class in the N Building, while Angel and Ravyn went for the L Building where they had their own class. They made it through the door just as the first bell rang, signaling that they had five minutes to get to class. Ravyn put her backpack in the chair behind Angel's and pulled out her phone before heading for the door again. Matt Doyle, the two's main teacher, looked up when the two came through the door. "You two better hurry or you'll be late for class!" He said as Angel followed Ravyn out the door. The two just waved at Mr. Doyle. "We'll be fine Doyle, you know that!" They said to their teacher as they left the room, both of them heading for the gym and their first class, P.E., at the other end of the school.

Angel and Ravyn made it into the gym right as the second bell rang, signaling that class was starting. They slit off and went into the two groups they were supposed to be at, thanks to the fact that they both had different P.E. teachers, but their classes were held in the same room. Ravyn sat down on the gym floor in her designated spot and smiled over at her two friends, Ashley Maia and Alyssa Dunmire. "Hey Ravyn!" They said hugging Ravyn in turn. Ravyn smiled and hugged them back before turning and looking up at the front, where their teacher, Mike Vandermolen, now stood. "Everybody up and get ready for warm ups!" He yelled. Ravyn rolled her eyes and got up, waving to Ashley and Alyssa as she did. She never did the warm ups, nor did she do any of the other exercises in class. She was- unfortunately- Vandermolen's T.A. The only good thing about being his T.A. was the fact that she didn't have to deal with doing whatever the class was doing that day. Unless it was something she WANTED to do that is. Then she just asked Vandermolen if she could join the class.

Today would be no different.

Once the exercises were finished, everyone had sat down, Ravyn already sitting down on the benches until Vandermolen needed her. "Garrison!" Vandermolen yelled. Ravyn rolled her eyes. Like NOW for instance. "Yeah Coach?" She asked, putting her phone away, which she had been playing a bowling game on just moments before, and using Vandermolen's title as Coach of the school's swimming team. "We're playing dodge ball with the other classes. You gonna join?" He asked. Ravyn grinned evilly. "Oh HELL yes!" She yelled and then ran over to her spot next to Alyssa and Ashley. Vandermolen smiled and shook his head. "Oh course you are," he mumbled, making Ravyn glare at him. "Alright, the rules are simple. No hitting below the belt. If you get hit, you go over to the bleachers and wait until one of your team mates can tag you in. You hit below the belt and your out of the game. Got it?" Everyone nodded and said they agreed. Vandermolen nodded. "Alright lets play. Coach Bradshaw's class will be joining our team while Coach's Alexander and Williams will be on the other team. Let's get ready!" Ravyn grinned wider as she heard that Bradshaw's class would join theirs. That meant Angel was on her team. Perfect. She knew that he wouldn't let anyone hit her just like she wouldn't let anyone hit him. They were the perfect team.

Angel walked over to Ravyn and kissed her cheek. "Ready babygirl?" He asked her, grinning as well. Ravyn nodded. "Always Babe," she replied and then took a defensive stance where she stood in the middle of the crowd, Angel on her left and Ashley and Alyssa on her right. As the teams got into position Ravyn noticed a boy named Jonathon Mullinix on the other side's team. She glared at the boy. He was one of her normal classmates and had been a thorn in her and Angel's sides all year. Apparently, according to Angel, he and Mullinix had known each other back when Angel had been going to school in Turlock, not long before Angel had moved to Modesto and began going to Elliot with Ravyn her freshman year. Angel and Mullinix had had a long standing rivalry going on that had passed on to Angel's time here at Enochs. And it was all because he had never been able to beat Angel in a fight. The kid had even gone so far as to try and manipulate Ravyn, something all three of them were VERY good at doing, and turn her against Angel. When it hadn't worked though, Mullinix had begun to target Ravyn as a victim, doing anything he could to piss her off, from taking her seat in class all the way to messing with Ravyn's guitar that she kept in the classroom's office area. He KNEW what he did pissed her off to no end and he did it anyways, hoping to get at her and Angel and take them off their guard. But today that changed. Today Ravyn was going to kick his ass at a game she was well versed in and had the knowledge of knowing how to play down to a science.

She was going to beat his ass and shove one of those dodge balls straight up that very ass she was going to beat.

"Got your eyes on anyone in particular?" Angel whispered, leaning over so he could be heard by Ravyn alone. Ravyn nodded. "Mullinix," she hissed. Angel looked up and over at Mullinix and rolled his eyes. "Please don't babygirl, I told you already, don't encourage him," Angel hissed. Ravyn rolled her eyes and waited until all the balls were laid out before the two teams and the coaches were ready to start.

The whistles blew suddenly and everyone- except Angel and Ravyn- ran for the balls, hoping to be the first to get one. Ravyn kept her eyes on Mullinix the whole time, watching when he threw a ball and when he dodged. She grinned when two balls rolled over to Angel and Ravyn. The two quickly picked them up and then Ravyn spun, quickly dodging a ball that went sailing straight for her. She looked over at the other team just in time to see Mullinix curse and go for another ball. "Oh HELL no!" She growled before she ran around a couple of her teammates and aimed her ball for Mullinix. She threw the ball hard and watched as it sailed through the air and struck Mullinix straight in the face. "YES!" She yelled, pumping her fists in the air then quickly dodged as a ball went sailing past her. She watched as Mullinix cursed, holding his nose. "That's supposed to be a FOUL Coach!" Mullinix screamed at Bradshaw. Bradshaw just smiled over at Ravyn and nodded. "Good one Garrison!" He yelled over at her. "Thanks Coach!" She yelled back. "Mullinix, it's not a foul as long as you don't hit below the belt, now go to the bleachers and wait!" Bradshaw yelled to Mullinix, who glared back before complying.

The game continued on for about Half an hour before somebody from the other team had the chance to release their team mates. Ravyn hadn't noticed this at the time, so she didn't catch when Mullinix picked up a ball and aimed straight at Ravyn again. Finally after a moment, Mullinix made his shot and threw the ball straight at Ravyn.

Ravyn dodged another ball that sailed past her and hit Alyssa but in that moment, she missed the ball that was sailing towards her.

A sudden scream had Angel turning towards Ravyn just in time for him to see the ball hitting her in the stomach. "RAVYN!" He yelled, running to her side. Ashley saw what had happened and ran over to her friends, landing on the ground as she reached them. "I'm fine babe, don't worry," Ravyn growled as she held her stomach. "The twins?" He asked worriedly. Ravyn shook her head. "Their fine," she growled, getting to her feet. Another ball sailed her way but Ashley caught it and threw it across the gym, smacking into a girl, knocking her to the ground. "Your pregnant?" She asked surprised. She and Alyssa both knew about the Supernatural world, having become friends with Angel and Ravyn shortly after the two had saved her and Alyssa from a Vampire that had attacked the two in the middle of the night, and so they knew that Angel and Ravyn were both Supernatural beings. But that didn't stop Ashley from worrying about the babies she had just learned about.

Alyssa suddenly came running over to the group, fear on her face. "Are you okay Rave?" She asked. "I saw Mullinix come back into play and throw the ball that hit you just now," she added. Angel's eyes darkened in rage at this news. "He WHAT?!" He growled. Alyssa nodded. "He aimed straight at her, I watched it happen but couldn't do anything!" Angel looked over across the gym and saw Mullinix smirking smugly over at them as he aimed another ball at Ravyn. "Fuck no. Not happening!" He yelled, waiting for the ball. It sailed through the air but before it could hit Ravyn again, Angel caught it in the air. The whistle blew, ending the game, but Angel didn't care. He threw the ball hard, aiming for Mullinix. It hit the target a moment later, hitting Mullinix straight below the belt, right in the balls.

"Kerr!" Bradshaw yelled as Mullinix fell to the ground, cupping his balls. Angel smirked and took Ravyn's hand, heading for the gym door. They didn't even listen when Bradshaw yelled back at them.

Ravyn and Angel walked through the classroom door, smirking at each other. FoeNyx looked up when she heard them walk through the door and smiled over at them. "Hey guys, good P.E. period?" She asked, hugging them both. Angel and Ravyn nodded and sat down, Angel standing next to her. It was then that Mullinix entered the room. "What the fuck was that back there Kerr?!" He yelled as he stormed into the room, glaring daggers at the two of them. He got right up in Angel's face, going nose to nose with him. Angel just smirked. "I was just playing the game man," he said, crossing his arms across his chest. Mullinix backed up a step before he put his hands on Angel and shoved him back. "Hey, hey Hey!" Doyle yelled, suddenly right beside the two boys. "What's going on here?" Doyle asked, looking back and forth between the two. Angel looked at Doyle. "Just a misunderstanding that happened during P.E.," he said slowly as he sat down in his seat. Doyle looked over at Mullinix. "Take your seat Jon," he said, pointing to Mullinix's seat across the room. Mullinix glared at the two of them before he went over and took his seat. Ravyn smirked before she turned around and faced the front of the class.

"Alright, Freshman, work on the papers I handed out to you earlier, Sophomores, the same. FoeNyx, Jon, Zarrion, Angel, Ravyn, pull out your Crucible books. We're going to read." Ravyn grinned widely. She loved the Crucible. It was her favorite Salem Witch Trials book. "Turn to page twenty-six and lets get started," Doyle said as everyone opened their books and turned to the right page. "Ravyn, you play Abigail Williams and Giles Corey-" Ravyn smiled again. Abigail and Giles were her two favorite characters in the story. "Angel your playing John Proctor and Francis Nurse. FoeNyx, your Sarah Osborne and Rebecca Nurse, Jon, you play Mr. Putnam and Mr. Hale. I'll play Reverend Paris and his daughter Betty," everyone snickered at that, which made Doyle glare. "Oh stop it. Anyways, any other characters we come across you can choose to play if you want. Okay?" Everyone nodded and they began to read. Ravyn looked at the page and smiled. She was first. Doyle confirmed it a moment later. "Ravyn, your first." Ravyn nodded and began her character, Abigail, who was speaking with John Proctor, Angel's character.

Before Ravyn knew it the bell to end second period rang and Ravyn groaned. "Damnit, I was really getting into it again... Stupid bell," she grumbled. Doyle smiled as he got up from his seat at the larger desk he used during class and which held his laptop and the screen projector on. "If you want to Ravyn I'll let you take the book home with you." Ravyn beamed in happiness. "Thanks Mr. Doyle!" She squealed putting the book in her backpack. Doyle smiled. "Your welcome. Just don't read TOO far ahead of the class, okay?" He asked. Ravyn nodded but Angel snorted. "I don't think that's POSSIBLE Mr. Doyle. Once she gets into a book, she can't get OUT of it," everyone in the room laughed and Ravyn glared at him, before smacking his arm. "Ow!" Angel yelped in mock hurt. Ravyn giggled and leaned over her desk to kiss his cheek. "You deserved it, brat," She said, making everyone laugh again. Angel rolled his eyes at her as the bell for third period rang.

"Alright, lets get our math books out and Ravyn, no complaining this time," Doyle said as he took his teacher's edition math book from one of his two T.A.'s. "But I don't WANNA!" Ravyn complained as she pulled her book out of her backpack. Everyone chuckled at her. Everyone knew Ravyn HATED math. It was one of her worst subject in school. Her only good one's were English, Piano and Choir. She wasn't even good at guitar and that was why she had dropped the class last year when she had been a T.A. in THAT class because she had missed out on most of it thanks to needing more P.E. credits or something like that. Ravyn still didn't understand why the school believed she needed more P.E. credits than she had already had. But it was just another reason why she had taken P.E. this year as well and just worked as a T.A. It was just easier for her in the end to do that instead of trying to find another elective class that she would like. "Alright everyone, today we're doing a review on our work so we're ready for finals next month," Doyle said as he flipped through his book to the page he wanted. "Everyone turn to page Three Hundred and Ninety-Four," Ravyn giggled at that, the page number making her think of the book Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban when Snape had said the same thing in Defense Against the Dark Arts class the day Professor Remus Lupin had been out sick. Doyle raised a brow at Ravyn but didn't say anything. He was waiting for her to realize what section they were working on.

Ravyn looked down at the page and squealed, making Doyle smile. They were working on multiplying and dividing fractions. It was the one thing Ravyn was GOOD at when it came to math. She smiled up at Doyle who chuckled. "Section you like Ravyn?" He asked, already knowing the answer. Ravyn nodded and pulled out her math notebook and a pen, getting ready to work. "Alright I want you to work on questions 8-10 and then the word problems at the bottom, and finally I want you to do the review quiz at the end of the chapter. If you don't finish in class, don't worry, we'll pick it up tomorrow. You will have homework on this chapter though so be ready," Doyle said. Everyone nodded and got to work on the pages.

Ravyn finished her work half an hour later and she got up from her chair, walking up to Doyle's desk and handing him her notebook. "Thank you Ravyn," he said taking the notebook. "If you want you can read or do anything that's quiet until everyone is finished or the period ends, okay?" Ravyn nodded. "Can I go into the office and do that?" She asked, motioning towards the small office area in the classroom. Doyle nodded. "Go ahead, just remember to be quiet," he added as Ravyn went back to her seat and grabbed her backpack, heading for the office area. She sat down at one of the three long tables in the room and pulled out her two writing notebooks, one where she wrote all her poems, the other where she wrote all her stories. She opened her poetry notebook and grabbed a pen, tapping it against the pages as she thought about what to write. Finally a light bulb clicked over her head and she felt herself go into the trance like state she always did when she wrote her poems. The trance made it to where she didn't notice when someone was talking to her or even trying to get her attention and time seemed to fly by even faster for her.

Angel finished up with his work about five minutes after Ravyn had, Dragon finishing at the same time. Both boys got up from their seats and walked up to Doyle and handed him their books before they went to join Ravyn in the office. As soon as they turned on the light and closed the door, leaving it only cracked a small bit, they turned and looked at Ravyn who was writing furiously away in one of her notebooks. Angel leaned over her and took a look at what she was writing. He chuckled when he saw the poem. "She's at it again," he whispered to Dragon, who also took a look at what she was writing. He chuckled as well. "Looks like we lost her again man," he said as he took a seat in the chair by the desk on the left. Angel nodded and took a seat himself in the same table as Ravyn. They jumped in surprise when Ravyn suddenly got up, grabbing the notebook up and getting up on top of the table, sitting down once again on top of it and crossing her legs. Not once did she stop writing.

Angel and Dragon laughed lowly as they watched her. "Man, she really gets into her writing doesn't she?" FoeNyx said as she came into the room as well. Dragon and Angel nodded to her as she went and sat on the table next to Dragon who leaned against her comfortingly. He had finally figured out a couple months ago that his feelings for FoeNyx weren't at all familial and had finally asked her out on a date shortly afterwards. FoeNyx had of course accepted the date and they had been together ever since, being just as happy as Angel and Ravyn were. "So how do you think you guys did on the review?" FoeNyx asked them as they watched Ravyn work. Angel pulled out Ravyn's drawing notebook from her backpack and a pencil and began to draw something himself as he answered his baby sister (she wasn't REALLY his baby sister but he, like Ravyn, considered her to be one). "I think I did pretty good. I know Ravyn did pretty well herself, I mean did you see how fast she was working? I don't think she got a single question wrong," he said as he moved the pencil across the paper.

"You would be right Angel," Doyle said as he entered the room, his arms filled with their notebooks. "She got them all correct. You and Dragon both missed one, the same one to be exact, and FoeNyx, you got a perfect score just like Ravyn," he added as he handed the notebooks back. He looked up at Ravyn as he held out her notebook for her, finally noticing the state she was in. He smiled. "She writing poems again?" The three of them nodded as Angel took Ravyn's notebook from him and placed it back in her backpack. "Thanks Mr. Doyle. We'll be out of here by lunch as usual," he said as he returned to his drawing. Dragon and FoeNyx snorted in laughter. "That's only if Ravyn finishes her poem in time," Dragon said laughing. FoeNyx giggled. "Yeah. If not, we're stuck here until she DOES finish it," she added as she pulled out her own poetry notebook and began writing as well. Unlike Ravyn, FoeNyx was able to carry out a conversation if she wanted to, even when she was in a poetry mood.

After what seemed like hours to the others, but was really only about fifteen minutes, Ravyn suddenly shook her head and looked up. She jumped when she saw Angel, Dragon, and FoeNyx in the room. "When did you guys get here?" She asked, confused. All three of them laughed and Dragon checked his iPod that he had been quietly listening to for the time they had been in the room. "About fifteen minutes ago. Probably around the time you started writing. Maybe five minutes after," he told her. Ravyn shook her head again and looked down at her notebook. She looked back up at them. "I did it again didn't I?" She asked, talking about the trance like state she always went into when she went into "Poetry Mode". All three nodded. "Yep," Angel confirmed for her. He took the notebook from Ravyn and looked over the three pages she had written on. "'Cutter's Lullaby'?" He asked, raising a brow at her. Ravyn took the notebook back and looked at the title she had written. "Is THAT what I called it?" She asked, mostly to herself. She didn't really remember writing all that she did, one of the downsides she had when it came to her writing. She didn't know what she wrote until she came out of the trance and read it all.

Angel nodded at her. "That's what it says," he said, pointing it out. Ravyn glared at him. "No shit Sherlock, I can see that perfectly enough for myself thanks," she said, her British accent coming out more than normal as she spoke. Angel, Dragon and FoeNyx chuckled. "Why don't you read it Rave?" FoeNyx said as she put her own poetry notebook down. Everyone leaned in, waiting for her to start. Ravyn looked at them, slightly confused. "You really want to hear it?" She asked. They nodded. "Always," Angel whispered, kissing her cheek. Ravyn blushed, loving that he used the saying that Snape had used in the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book when he had been talking to Dumbledore about his love and care for Harry's mom, Lily Potter, a love that had never died, even after Lily's death. "Okay," Ravyn said, smiling. She cleared her throat and began. "Cutter's Lullaby..." She whispered. She didn't think she was going to like the ending to this story.

"Hush little scared one,

And close your eyes.

Behind your eyelids,

Await a surprise.

Don’t be afraid

You can’t see the pain.

You can’t feel the razor,

You can’t feel the shame.

Don’t hang your head.

Don’t believe their lies.

Just hang onto life,

Despite their demise

Hush little scared one,

Both broken and scarred.

The pain you’ve endured,

Doesn’t seem hard.

Don’t close your eyes,

You can see your fate.

You can see the blood,

You can feel the hate.

Don’t cry too much.

Don’t dry your tears.

Start teaching them all,

Their own worst fears.

Hush little scared one,

Run away from home.

No one will know,

That you’re even gone.

Don’t blame yourself.

You can see your state.

You can feel it burn,

You can see its traits.

Don’t go back home,

Don’t even go near.

Make sure your voice,

Is what they hear.

Hush little scared one,

You’ve almost died.

Though their having a problem,

With thinking you tried.

They have no idea,

You can feel your tears,

You can see your dreams,

You can feel your fears.

Don’t try explaining,

Don’t try forgiving.

They won’t understand.

Why you want to stop living.

Hush little scared one,

Keep your heart here.

Try to start living,

Amongst all the tears.

Don’t carve your sides,

It won’t feel good,

It won’t satisfy.

Not like it should.

Don’t sketch a heart.

Don’t color it in.

The blood could do that,

By searing your skin.

Hush little scared one,

I’m sure you are dead.

From cuts on your wrists,

And the shot in your head.

Don’t try forgetting.

Life is just a game.

It never really happened.

Deaths are all the same.

My song’s almost done.

I bid you goodbye.

I’ve sung you my cutters

Sweet lullaby.

- Ravyn Marie Kerr

Age: Seventeen

Date: May 9th, 2010."

Ravyn looked up once she was done reading and saw the sorrowful looks in both Angel and Dragon's eyes and the tears that were welling up in FoeNyx's. "That was beautiful Ravyn!" Everyone turned at the sound of Alanni Ocella's voice. They saw her there in the doorway, tears streaming down her face as she looked at Ravyn in awe. "I didn't know you could write poetry!" She said, and then, before Ravyn and the others knew what she was going to do, Alanni ran over to her and hugged her. "That was so sad and yet so beautiful at the same time!" She cried. Ravyn stood stalk still as Alanni hugged her, not returning the hug at all. "Uh... Thanks Alanni," 'I guess...' Ravyn thought in her mind, knowing Angel and the others had heard her thoughts, Angel hearing it thanks to the fact that he was holding her hand. "As with all my poems, it comes from the heart," she added as she pried Alanni off of her. Alanni sat down at the other empty seat at Ravyn and Angel's table and smiled. Just then, their friend Jarreth Barron-Millis walked into the room as well. "That was pretty damn good Rave," he said as he sat down at the empty table to the right. Ravyn's eyes widened. "You heard that?" She squeaked. Jarreth nodded. "Everyone did," he said, jerking his head towards the door. Ravyn's eyes bugged out of her head at this news and she scrambled off the table and poked her head out of the door, looking at everyone in the room. Every single person's eyes were either wide with shock or glazed over with sorrow... Or both. Ravyn blushed furiously as she saw this.

"Ravyn, can I speak with you outside for a moment please?" Doyle said, getting up from his bar stool like chair at the front desk. Ravyn nodded sadly and followed Doyle out of the room. "Yes?" She asked once they were outside. Doyle sighed. "Are you alright?" He asked her, sticking his hands in his pocket. Ravyn nodded, still blushing furiously. "Besides being embarrassed all to Hell just now because everyone heard my poem, yeah I'm okay," she replied, sticking her own hands in her back jean pockets and bouncing slowly forward and backward on the balls of her feet. Doyle nodded but didn't look convinced. "Everything okay at home? No problems or anything like that?" He asked. Doyle knew about Ravyn's family and how they had been murdered- minus the fact that it was a Werewolf who had done so- and that she was living in a small apartment that she shared with Angel and her two sisters, that he believed had been rented out to her by an Uncle or other family member. He knew about Ravyn's struggles with cutting and how she dealt with the pain of her losses and that was the reason he wasn't so convinced at her explanation.

"Everything's fine at home Mr. Doyle. My sister Sorcha recently moved out of the apartment, more than likely moving in with one of her friends or something like that, but other than that things are fine," Ravyn explained. Doyle nodded. "I think that poem, while it may have come out of nowhere, was based off how I used to feel when and after I lost all my family and stuff. It's nothing big or bad I promise." Doyle nodded again. "Okay," he said comfortingly. "Just know that you can always come to me, or the other T.A.'s, if you need to talk, okay?" He asked. Ravyn nodded and smiled. "I know and thank you Mr. Doyle," she said, before looking at the door, where the other students had begun to line up at as they waited for the bell for fourth period bell- which signaled lunch for some, next class for others- to ring and let them out of class.

Doyle caught her looking at the door and nodded. "Alright then, go ahead and go back inside," he said, nodding towards the door. Ravyn nodded her thanks to him and opened the door, walking inside. As soon as she did the whole room, which had been full of quiet chatter, abruptly stopped. Everyone made a point of not looking at Ravyn as she made her way back to the office, where the others were waiting. She sighed as she entered the office. "Jeez, you'd think I had just loudly proclaimed that one of my sister's just keeled over or something with the way their all acting," she grumbled as she picked up her backpack and shoved her things back inside. Angel chuckled at her and kissed her cheek. "They don't know you like we do Babygirl. I don't think anyone was expecting to hear what you had written," he said, taking her bag from her and throwing it over his shoulder.

Ravyn growled. "Doesn't mean they need to act as if I have the plague or something," she grumbled, making FoeNyx, Dragon, Jarreth and Angel all laugh. Alanni just looked at them all confused but said nothing. The bell that ended third period finally rang and Ravyn heard everyone quickly opening the door, all of them hoping to get to their next class in time or to get an early spot in the lunch lines. Ravyn jerked her head towards the office door. "Come on, let's go get some lunch," she said, heading for the door. Everyone nodded and followed behind her.

Ravyn stood with Angel and Dragon, waiting in the lines for the student lunch areas where they could buy other things than the cafeteria food, the line moving slowly and making Ravyn impatient. Angel caught on to her impatience and grinned. "What do you feel like today babygirl?" He asked as he wrapped his arms around her from behind, placing his hands on her slightly distended belly and rubbing it lightly. Ravyn snorted in laughter. "I think the better question is what do the twins want today," she said in a low tone, making sure only Angel and Dragon, who was in front of them, could hear her.

Angel and Dragon chuckled. "Very true little sister," Dragon said, looking behind him at her. Ravyn glared at him but smiled. She looked up at the window that was about ten feet away from them now and, using both her Vampiric and Werewolf sight, she looked at the menu's that were in the building behind the ladies serving the students. Immediately something caught her eyes and she smiled. Well, two things to be exact. Her stomach grumbled when she saw the menu items and Angel chuckled, having felt her belly grumble. "Find something?" He asked. Ravyn nodded. "Yeah, for some reason I feel in the mood for nachos and ice cream. But not these nachos. For some reason I want Taco Bell nachos," she grumbled. Angel and Dragon laughed as they heard this. "I'll get the ice cream for you, then if you want we can all drive over to Taco Bell. We have passes to leave the school during lunch period after all and there's a Taco Bell right up the street," Angel said. Ravyn's eyed lit up in happiness. "Really?" She asked. Angel nodded. Ravyn clapped her hands in delight. "Let's go then!" She squealed, making Dragon laugh. "I'll get the ice cream for you and meet you at the car. You want to go and get the others and see if they want to go too?" He asked. Ravyn and Angel both nodded and Angel started to pull out his wallet so he could give Dragon the money he would need to pay for the ice cream, but Dragon waved him away. "Don't worry about it bro, I got it this time," he said. Angel raised a brow at him. "You sure?" He asked. Dragon nodded. "Yeah. Besides, I love spoiling my baby sister," he added, laughing when Ravyn hugged him. "Thanks big bro! We'll see you at the car!" She said, turning and running towards the C Building's alcove where all their friends were waiting, Angel following close behind.

Once Ravyn and Angel had asked their friends if they wanted to go with them to Taco Bell, they headed for her truck, Kitty, Taylor, Katerina, and FoeNyx following behind. The met up with Dragon at his Dodge Charger a moment later and Ravyn, Katerina, Angel, Kitty and Taylor all squeazed into the five passenger extended cab Ford F-150, while Dragon and FoeNyx got into his car that was parked next to the truck, and both cars pulled out of their parking spots and headed for the Taco Bell just down the road.

Once they reached the Taco Bell, Ravyn, who was driving this time, looked at the others. "Inside or drive thru?" She asked as Dragon pulled up into the parking spot next to them, waiting. "I think we should do drive thru, it will be quicker," Katerina said and everyone agreed with her. Ravyn nodded and rolled down her window, FoeNyx, who was in the passenger seat, rolled hers down as well. "What's the verdict?" Dragon yelled, leaning over in his seat so he could look out FoeNyx's window. "Drive thru!" Ravyn yelled back to him. Dragon nodded and they both pulled out of their parking spots and turned towards the drive thru.

"Hello, welcome to Taco Bell, how can I help you?" A girl asked through the speaker. Ravyn paused for a moment. She could have sworn she knew that voice. She shook her head and shrugged. "One sec, please," she added, then looked over at her three passengers. "Whatcha want?" She asked. "Two burrito's please,"Kitty said. Taylor asked for the same, with a bowl of pinto's and cheese. "Nacho bell Grande, hold the tomatoes, just like you sis," Katerina said, knowing what her sister was going to order before she even said it. Ravyn wasn't one to change her eating habits often and Taco Bell was a prime example. Ravyn looked at Angel, raising a brow. "What do you want?" She asked. Angel thought for a moment before he answered. "XXL Grilled Stuffed Burrito, steak, two Crunchy Tacos, and a Chalupa Supreme, also Steak." Ravyn's brows raised up high when Angel listed off what he wanted. She shouldn't have been surprised though. Angel was a big guy with a big appetite. "Alright," She said then turned back to the girl on the speaker. "Alright I'm ready," she told the girl. "Okay go ahead," the girl responded, and Ravyn listed off everything that they had told her, as well as five- one for each of them- 20 oz. Dr. Pepper's. The girl didn't even act surprised.

"Alright, yur total for today will be Thirty dollars and Thirty-six cents at the first window," the girl said. "Thank you," Ravyn replied as she put the truck back into drive and pulled up to the window, catching Dragon pulling up to the speaker behind her in her rear view mirror. She pulled up to the window and Angel dug his wallet out of his pocket and grabbed two twenty dollar bills, handing them to Ravyn who in turn handed it to the girl. "Alright your change is nine dollar's and sixty-four cents, have a great day," the girl said. It was then that Ravyn got a good look at the girl. She gasped in surprise. "Sorcha?!"

The girl, who was in fact Sorcha, looked up and her eyes bugged when she saw her sisters, Katerina having got out of her seat and leaned over into the middle console in the front seat to get a better look. "Ravyn? Kat? What are you two doing here? Aren't you supposed to be at school?" Sorcha asked, scoldingly. Ravyn rolled her eyes. "We're on lunch and have passes to leave the school during that time. Plus the twins were apparently craving Taco Bell. What are you doing here?" Ravyn explained. Sorcha shrugged. "I know the manager and one of my friends works here. He called me up this morning and asked if I could fill in for him cause he's sick. I worked here a while back before I worked at P. Wexfords and I asked if I could come in and do my friends shift and the manager said it was fine. Besides I get some extra cash on the side," Sorcha explained quickly. Ravyn nodded. "Okay. You know I knew I recognized your voice earlier I just couldn't place it till now," Ravyn said laughing. Sorcha laughed as well. "Yeah I've gotten that earlier today when Jarreth and Sandra came by," she said chuckling. Ravyn shook her head and smiled. "It was good to see you finally," she said ans Sorcha nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Well, you guys should get going so your not late for class. I'll come by the apartment some time and we can shill, okay?" Ravyn and the others nodded in agreement and Ravyn drove up to the second window, her and Katerina yelling that they loved her and hoped to see her soon as they drove off.

Once they reached the second window Ravyn took the bags of food and handed them to Katerina who sorted it all out. Ravyn kept hers in its bag so she could eat it later. She was craving her ice cream- the sweet treat that she had quickly put a freezing spell over so it wouldn't melt while they were gone getting lunch- more than Taco Bell right now and she knew Doyle would let her eat her food in the office area if she didn't get a chance to eat it before the next class started.

Once they got back to the school everyone got out of their cars and headed for the front gates where they met up with Dave and Terry, who were standing by the gates and watching a few kids leaving with their parents. "Hey Dave, hey Terry!" Ravyn yelled out as they approached, holding their bags from Taco Bell. Dave and Terry smiled and laughed when they saw the bags. "Taco Bell, huh? Get some crazy craving or something Rave?" Terry asked, giving Ravyn a side hug. She did the same with Dave. "Yeah, the twins wanted nachos and ice cream of all things! Which reminds me, where's my ice cream D?" She asked turning to her brother. Dragon held up the cup of chocolate and vanilla swirled ice cream, handing it to her. "Right here," he said, laughing as he watched Ravyn dig into it furiously. Dave and Terry chuckled as well. "Crazy combo girlie, but take it from me, don't ever deny yourself your cravings.," Dave said as he and Terry followed them to the alcove of the C Building. "My wife tried that when she was pregnant with our daughter and she about went crazy from it!" Ravyn and the others laughed at that. "How is your daughter Dave?" FoeNyx asked as she finished off her food. Dave smiled brightly. He and Terry both loved it when they had any chance to talk about their little girls. "She's good, about to start the fifth grade next semester. She's been so ecstatic that Summer break is coming up and stuff that it's hard to get her to go to bed at night!" Ravyn giggled and took another bite of her ice cream as Terry looked at his watch. "Better hurry up and eat hun, you only got fifteen minutes before lunch is over!" He said as he waved, heading for the bridge in the middle of the school, Dave following. "Thanks Terr! Later guys!" Ravyn yelled to them as they left then she dug back into her ice cream. She had a feeling she would be eating her Taco Bell in class later at this rate. No way was she getting brain freeze from eating this delicious ice cream too fast!

The bell signaling that fourth period had ended sounded exactly fifteen minutes later and Ravyn, who had just finished her own pinto's N' Cheese and had begun to eat her nachos, groaned. "Damnit!" She yelled as she put her food back in its bag and threw away her finished pinto's N' Cheese bowl. They waved goodbye to Kitty, Taylor and Katerina as they went off to their own classes and Ravyn, Dragon, FoeNyx, and Angel headed for the L Building once more for their own fifth period classes. "Oh Goddess, I HATE Economics!" Ravyn yelled as they went through the halls, pausing at Ravyn's locker so she could grab her books and put her others away. Angel spun the locks code in for Ravyn, who always seemed to have trouble with it, and grabbed her economics book from inside, going over to his own locker and grabbing his as well. They headed back for room L 126, Mr. Doyle's classroom, and walked through the door. Ravyn held up her bag of Taco Bell as she entered the room. "You mind if I eat this in the office Mr. Doyle?" She asked. Doyle looked up and nodded to her. Ravyn smiled in thanks and then headed for the office, Dragon, FoeNyx and Angel following behind her. They were the only Seniors, besides Mullinix, in the class and they knew that Doyle would just come into the office and tell them what they needed to do and then go over to Mullinix and tell him. Either that or he would just write was to be done on the white board for Mullinix and Still come in and tell them what he wanted to be done for the day.

And of course she was right.

She heard the squeak of the white boards pens being used to write down the assignments of all the students on said white board and Angel, FoeNyx and Dragon waited patiently for Doyle to come in and tell them what they needed to do. Ravyn on the other hand, quickly dug into her Nachos, hoping to finish them before Doyle was done speaking to the class. Doyle ended up telling the class their assignments, even though he had written them down on the board, and then came into the office area and looked at the four of them. "Did you hear all of what I said guys?" He asked, popping his head through the door to speak to them. Angel, Dragon, and FoeNyx all nodded but Ravyn shook her head. "I missed it, what happened?" She asked. The other three chuckled. Doyle shook his head but smiled all the same. "I want you to read pages Two Hundred and Ninety-Six through Three Hundred and Ten and do questions one through ten on the review on page Three Hundred and Sixteen. Got that?" He asked her. Ravyn nodded her head as she placed another chip filled with nacho cheese, beef and refried beans into her mouth. She chewed quickly and swallowed before she answered. "Sorry," she apologized. "Still hungry as Hell and yeah I got it. Pages Two Hundred and Ninety-Six through Three Hundred and Ten and do questions one through ten on the review on page Three Hundred and Sixteen. Right?" Doyle nodded as Ravyn recited the pages and question numbers that he said. "And Ravyn," Ravyn perked up as she shoved another chip in her mouth. "Hm?" She hummed her question, her mouth still full of food. "If you don't finish before class ends you WILL have homework. That goes for all of you too, got it?" Doyle added, pointing at Angel, FoeNyx and Dragon in turn. Ravyn quickly swallowed her bite and answered at the same time as the others. "Got it," they all said and then pulled out their books, notebooks, and pens (pencils in FoeNyx and Angel's case) and began to read.

It took Ravyn about fifteen minutes to finish the required reading passages and another five minutes to take notes on them, this way she had something to look back on when she did the review. She looked up at Angel, Dragon and FoeNyx, popping one of her last chips- that were now cold, thanks to her forgetting they were there while she was reading- into her mouth. She noticed that FoeNyx was the only one who was finished with the reading and was now working on the review. She smiled. Her and FoeNyx had always been speed readers. They had even had a competition once to see who could finish the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book the fastest. Ravyn had one that one, having soaked all the information in the books up like a sponge and still being able to know exactly what had happened (She and FoeNyx had quizzed one another on what they had read after they had finished the books, just to make sure the other hadn't cheated; Again, Ravyn had one that one). Speed reading was one of the many things she was proud to say that she could do well.

Ravyn sighed and then got up from her seat, stretching before she climbed up on top of the desk she and Angel sat at, something she did often and found to be one of her favourite spots to sit at in the room, and crossed her legs Indian style before placing her book and notebook in her lap and turning to the pages with the review. She looked over at Angel's book to see where exactly he was at before she began her own review. He was about half way through and his notes were long and detailed, just like her own. She smiled as she saw it and then began her work on her review.

About ten minutes later, Doyle came into the room, knocking on the door as he did. Ravyn jumped in fright, it having been so quiet in the room and her having been so focused on her work, that she hadn't expected the sudden noise. Doyle smiled as he saw Ravyn jump. "Sorry Ravyn, just wanted to tell you guys that there's about twenty minutes of class left. So hurry as fast as you can to finish, otherwise you'll have homework," he said. Everyone nodded and got back to work, Angel and Dragon hurrying as fast as they could to finish their reading and work on the review. Ravyn looked over at FoeNyx who was grinning like her. She then watched as FoeNyx did exactly what she had been about to do. She knew FoeNyx was almost done on the review like she was, and instead of finishing it off and giving her paper to Doyle, she turned back to her notes page and handed it to Dragon. Ravyn tapped Angel on the shoulder and did the same thing, handing him her notes after she had ripped out her review answers from the notebook and placed it in her book. "Here, go ahead and get on the review, I'll let you copy my notes so you have them later on," she said, FoeNyx saying something similar to Dragon. Both boys looked at their girl's appreciatively and took the notes they had made, turning over to the review page and beginning their work. Ravyn, who remembered everything she had written down, went back to work on her own review, finishing up about five minutes later, having written long and detailed answers for every question.

The bell rang to end fifth period just as Dragon, FoeNyx and Angel finished their reviews. The two boys sighed in relief as they closed their books. They, like Ravyn, hated Economics with a passion, and they were glad they had finished when they did, this way they didn't have to do any of it for homework. All four of them got up from their seats and went over to the front desk, handing Doyle their papers before they left for their classes. FoeNyx and Dragon split off from Angel and Ravyn once they got out of the L Building, both of them heading for the gym and their P.E. classes- Dragon having weight training and FoeNyx regular P.E.- while Angel and Ravyn headed for the J Building, which was the building designated for all the music classes. Right now Angel and Ravyn had piano class and Ravyn couldn't wait to get her hands on one of the keyboards and start playing away.

They entered the classroom moments later and sat down at the two pianos in the corner on the right, quietly greeting their two friends, Eddie Flores and Dylan Gifford, who were also in the class with them. Ravyn pulled out her drawing notebook and handed it to Eddie, flipping over to the page she wanted him to see. "I finished it last night," she said, speaking of a drawing of the word "Nocturne", with a small owl drawn under the cursive scripted words, that Eddie had asked if she could draw for him so he could give it to a girl he had a crush on recently. He had planned on bringing the girl into their piano class and playing the piano composition "Nocturne op.9 No.2" by Chopin to the girl. Ravyn had thought it was an adorable and sweet thing to do and that was why she had drawn up the drawing for Eddie before she went to bed last night. She had taken a lot of time to do the drawing for him and had almost forgotten to do some of her homework because of it. But she didn't regret doing the drawing for her friend in the least. She believed- hoped even- that the girl, Delain she believed to be the girl's name if Ravyn remembered correctly, would love what Eddie had planned to do for her for she had heard that the girl liked Piano but was always too afraid to actually TAKE the class because she believed she wasn't good enough for it and would completely flunk the class. So Eddie, knowing this, had planned to play her Chopin's composition in hopes that he could get her to go on a date with him.

Eddie looked at the picture and smiled. "That's awesome Rave! Thanks, I'm sure Delain will love it!" He exclaimed as Ravyn tore the picture out of her book, an identical picture of the drawing on the page beneath it. She had drawn it twice just so she had a copy of it, while she gave the original to Eddie to give to Delain. Eddie took the drawing and folded the paper in half, placing it inside his piano book for safe keeping. "Thanks again for doing that Rave, it really was awesome of you to do it for me," he said as the bell rang once more, signaling sixth period was starting. Ravyn smiled at him and said it was no problem before she turned in her piano chair and waited for their teacher, Patrick Mester, to come out of his office. She noticed that the assignment they were supposed to do was already written up on the white board at the front of the class near the large piano that Mr. Mester normally used to show them whatever he was teaching and also used in his choir class. Mr. Mester came out of his office finally and looked around the room for a moment, before she spoke. "The assignment is up on the board, please complete it to the best of your ability and I will come around soon to help any of those who need it. Until then, if you need help please ask Ravyn Garrison, Angel Kerr, or Amanda O'Connor and they will help you. Ravyn, Angel, Amanda, raise your hands so the class knows where to find you please?" Mr. Mester asked of them. Ravyn, Angel and their friend Amanda all raised their hands in the air and the class looked over at them, everyone nodding after a moment, signaling to them that they had all seen where they were sitting. Mr. Mester nodded his head and then returned to his office where he immediately picked up his office phone and continued with his phone call.

Ravyn pulled out her piano book and flipped it open until she was at the page Mr. Mester had written down for them and placed her hands on the keys, her left thumb on the middle C key and the others going to where they needed to be, her right hands fingers just one key away from her left hand. She looked up at the book that she had placed on the top of the keyboard and rolled her eyes, it was another review session, just like it had been in her other classes. She quickly put in her headset, plugging it in with a cord adapter and ignoring the clunky headphones that the rest of the class, who didn't have a headset or adapter to put on their plugin cord, all had to use. She hated those headphones because it made it hard for her to hear the rest of the class if Mr. Mester was talking to them or if one of the students came around and asked one of them for help. So she always made sure to bring her headset and adapter so she could use them on the piano instead of the other headphones.

Ravyn turned on the piano and lightly pressed on the keys so she knew what key made what sound before she began the song they were supposed to play, placing her fingers on the right keys to begin as she did so. She played the song over about four times before she sighed and stopped, looking around at the other students. Mr. Mester was going around the class now, helping students when they needed it and her friend Amanda, who normally sat two seats away from her- Eddie and Dylan being the one's who took up those two seats- was also helping another student with key placement and the metronome dial, a thing that Ravyn NEVER used. She hated hearing that stupid clicking noise that was the metronome, while she worked. She felt like it through her off from the melody she was supposed to be playing, something that was supposed to be the exact OPPOSITE of what the metronome was supposed to do for the piano player.

Mr. Mester suddenly came up behind her and Angel and looked at Angel, who had taken his own headset out of his ears so he could hear what Mr. Mester had to say. Mr. Mester looked at Angel disapprovingly. "Did you do the exercises that I put up on the board Angel?" He asked in a low tone, as to not disturb the other students and throw them off from their work. Angel nodded. "Five times," he replied in the same low tone. Mr. Mester nodded and grabbed the headphones that the other students were using, making sure they were plugged in before he spoke again. "Let me hear it," he said as he pulled up the piano chair that was unoccupied next to Angel. Angel nodded and took down his notebook that he had been working on while he waited for Mr. Mester to come around to them, and turned his piano book back to the page it was supposed to be on. Ravyn watched him intently, watching him place his fingers on the right keys and move his fingers flawlessly across the keyboard, playing the melody they were supposed to be working on. Mr. Mester nodded once he was done, and took off his headphones, placing them back on their rack. "Very good," he said, nodding again. "May I ask what your currently working on?" Angel nodded. "I'm working on a melody for the twins," he whispered, making sure no one but Mr. Mester and Ravyn heard him. Mr. Mester was the only teacher- besides Dave and Terry, but they weren't teachers- who knew about Ravyn's pregnancy and that was only because they trusted Mr. Mester above all others in the school- once again, besides Dave and Terry- not to say anything to the school board or any of the staff. So far Mester had done just that, not speaking a word of it to anyone.

Mr. Mester nodded in approval. "Do you mind if I hear it?" He asked. Angel shrugged. "It's not finished yet but yeah, sure, you can hear it," he whispered. Mr. Mester nodded and placed his headphones back on his ears as he waited for Angel to start. Angel pulled out his notebook again and flipped it to the right page and then began, Ravyn still watching him intently. Once he had finished the short melody, Mr. Mester took off his headphones once more and placed them back on the rack again. "Its very good, and I think they'll love it when they hear it," he complimented. Angel smiled and thanked him. Mr. Mester then turned to Ravyn. "Have you done the exercise?" He asked. Ravyn nodded. "Four times. If you don't mind, would it be okay if I worked on my own song, much like what Angel is doing?" She asked. Mr. Mester nodded. "I don't see why not. Do you mind if I listen in like I did with Angel?" He asked. Ravyn shrugged. "Sure. I'd love to hear your opinion on it," she whispered before placing one of her headphones in her ear and Mr. Mester placed the headphones designated for her keyboard on his head. Ravyn reached into her bag and pulled out her poetry notebook, where she had been working on a melody of her own earlier that day in Economics while she had waited for Angel and Dragon to finish their work. She placed her fingers back on the keyboard and after a moment, began her melody.

Once she was finished, Mr. Mester placed the headphones back on their rack and nodded in approval. "It's very good. It has a haunting but still very loving melody to it. Although, if you don't mind," he motioned with his pencil to her pages with the melody on it. Ravyn nodded. "By all means," she said, letting him know that he could make any changes he wished to the melody. Mr. Mester nodded and then began to make his corrections. "Instead of going with B minor here, I would go with a C minor," he made the correction on the paper. "And then here, I would go with a G, B, and then F instead of the A, C, and E," once more he made the corrections to the paper. Ravyn nodded, her mind playing the melody out in her head with the new corrections. "It sounds like it would be good. You want to try hearing it again with the corrections?" She asked, holding up the headphones for him. Mr. Mester nodded and put the headphones on once more, waiting for Ravyn to begin.

Once Ravyn got to the corrected areas, she paused for a second, placing her fingers on the right keys before playing again, and finally finishing off the melody that she had. When she was done, Mr. Mester took off his headphones and smiled at her. "How did that sound?" He asked her. Ravyn nodded, smiling. "It sounded a lot better, thanks Mr. Mester." She said, smiling at the fact that she had gotten some help. The melody she was composing was supposed to be meant for Angel, and the other she had been working on was for the twins, but she hadn't finished with that one just yet. She now planned on asking Mr. Mester what he thought of it so far during the five minute class intermission that they had before choir, hoping he would be able to tell her if there were any corrections and changes he might make to the melody.

Class seemed to fly by after Ravyn had gotten her help from Mr. Mester and before she knew it, the bell rang, signalling that sixth period had ended. The class gathered their things and headed out towards the two large double doors on either side of the room, leaving only Angel, Ravyn and Dylan in the class to wait for their seventh period class, Choir, that they also had with Mr. Mester. Ravyn got up from her seat and went over to Mr. Mester, who was shuffling some papers around on his desk. "Hey Mr. Mester?" She asked as she reached him. She wanted to see if he would listen to her melody that she made for the twins while she had the chance now, and would like to get his opinion on it. She watched as Dylan left the room, probably going outside to wait for some of his friends who had classes in the building like he did and she sighed a sigh of relief. At least now she could talk freely.

"Yes Ravyn?" Mr. Mester asked as he stopped shuffling his papers around, looking up at her. "Would you mind taking a listen to the other composition I did? This one's for the twins and I'd love you opinion like what you did for Angel's," she asked. Angel walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her, his hands once more going to her belly. "You made a song for me?" He asked, surprised. Ravyn nodded. "Yeah. One for you and one for the twins," she said as Mr. Mester agreed to listen to the melody and sat down at the large piano there in the front of the room. Ravyn sat next to him and Angel leaned up against the piano, listening intently. Ravyn placed her notebook on the book holder that was built into the piano and placed her fingers on the right keys before she began her melody.

When she was finished, she looked up at Mr. Mester who was nodding in approval as some of his choir students began to file into the room, sitting int the four rows of chairs that were sitting in the middle of the room. "I think what you should do is- may I?" He asked, motioning to the composition with his pencil like he had last time. "Of course, that's why I had asked," Ravyn responded, motioning to the composition. Mr. Mester nodded and then took his pencil and began making some minor changes. "I think what you should do here," he made a circle with the eraser side of his pencil in the air above the composition. "Is actually change that to an A major, and here," he motioned with his pencil again. "is go with a B flat here and G minor right here," he circled each of the areas in the air of where he was speaking of as he told her the corrections. Ravyn nodded and took her notebook down, using her own pencil to erase the markings she had made and replace them with the corrections Mr. Mester had mentioned. "Now try it," he said as she replaced her book in its spot. Ravyn nodded and began the melody again, not stopping in her motions as she hit the corrected areas this time. Once she was done she looked up and saw that a few of the students, her and Angel's friend Alyssa Bruce included, had joined Angel by the piano and were listening silently. They all clapped once she had finished her melody. "That was awesome Rave," a kid name Christopher Basil said, smiling. Alyssa looked over at Christopher and nodded in agreement. "It had that haunting quality that we've all come to associate with you Ravyn," she said, smiling as well. "It had hints of love in it too and we could tell it was coming from the heart. You really put all the love you have into it."

Ravyn smiled widely and thanked them. She turned to Mr. Mester. "Thanks Mr. Mester!" She said, getting up from her seat as the bell for seventh period rang. "Any time Ravyn. If you need anymore help, don't hesitate to ask me. You as well Angel," he said nodding at Angel who nodded back. "You can always come and see me any time, I'm always here, even during lunch times." Both Angel and Ravyn nodded and then took their seats. Ravyn groaned when she saw Mullinix and Alanni come into the class, late as usual. "Ocella, Mullinix, your late again. Take your seats now," Mr. Mester said as he returned to his place at the front desk. Mullinix and Alanni sulked to their seats, Alanni sitting right next to Ravyn who rolled her eyes at the girl.

"Alright, so tomorrow is the County Honor Choir performance at MJC, so lets get to practicing the songs we're going to sing at the concert," Mr. Mester said as he pulled out a small black binder, much like the ones everyone else pulled out of their own bags and placed on their laps. Mr. Mester nodded at them and then took his seat at the piano once more. "Alright, we're starting with the Italian song 'Alta Trinita Beata', so turn to that song," he said and everyone did as he asked. "Now the translation is at the bottom and Ravyn-" Ravyn looked up from her page where she had been silently singing the Italian translation to the song that they would be singing. "Yes?" She asked. Mr. Mester smirked at her, knowing what she had been doing. He knew that Ravyn was very passionate about this song in particular because it was Italian and it struck a cord in the Sicilian (a state of sorts in Italy), side of her heritage. She had once gotten so angry at the other choir students, who had been playing around and talking when they had first began practicing the song, that she got up from her seat and yelled at the entire class, telling them to shut up, sit down and listen to what Mr. Mester had to say. Everyone had been so shocked at what she had done that they had all fallen silent. Well, everyone except Mullinix that was, but he had only continued talking to the person next to him to spite Ravyn.

"I want you to get up on stage when we do the performance and tell the crowd what the translation to the song is. Can you do that for me?" Mr. Mester asked. Ravyn nodded. "You want me to do it now?" She asked. Mr. Mester nodded. "Yes please," he said as he got himself ready at the piano. Ravyn stood up and read the notes she had made on the paper above the English translation of the song. "'Alta Trinita Beata', a devotional song created to honor the belief in the Holy Trinity. The translation this beautiful melody, created by an anonymous Italian artist, goes as such. 'High and blessed Trinity, By us always adored. Glorious Trinity, Marvelous unity, You are savory manna and all that we can desire.' We hope that you enjoy this song just as much as we have loved being able to sing it for you here tonight." Ravyn bowed and sat back down in her seat, the whole class- minus Mullinix and Alanni (who still believed that SHE should have been the one to do the introduction and blamed Ravyn being a teacher's pet being the ONLY reason she got to do it, and not on merit alone)- clapped and cheered for her. Ravyn smiled and thanked them, watching as Mr. Mester nodded in approval. Very well said Ravyn, thank you," he said and then motioned for the whole class to rise with their binders and take their positions, the soprano's with the soprano's, Alto's with Alto's, Bass's with Bass's, and Baritone's with Baritone's.

Everyone scrambled around in their seats, getting into position. The only two who hadn't moved were Ravyn and Alanni, who were already in the Soprano's section. Angel kissed Ravyn's lips before he went to join the other Bass's. Mr. Mester nodded in approval once everyone had gotten into position and then waved his hands in the air for a moment, signaling that they were about to begin and then he placed his hands back on the keys of the piano and began the melody of the song. The whole class waited a moment before they began to sing along with the music.

"Alta e Santissima Trinità, Da noi sempre adorato. Gloriosa Trinità, l'unità Marvelous, Tu sei la manna salato e tutto ciò che possiamo desiderare." The class sang the song over twice before Mr. Mester stopped playing and clapped. "Very good. Now let's try the song 'Stand By Me', another song we'll be playing at the concert." Everyone nodded and turned in their binder to the small packet of papers that held the song. Mr. Mester put his hands in the air once more, before placing them on the keys and beginning the song, the whole class following along like before.

Before Ravyn and Angel knew it, Choir class had ended and it was time for everyone- those who hadn't elected to go with an eighth period class- to head home. Ravyn and Angel packed their stuff away into Ravyn's backpack and headed for the classroom door, waiting for Dragon, FoeNyx and Katerina to meet up with them so they could head home. It took a few moments but the three of them finally came into view and waved towards Angel and Ravyn, telling the two that they had seen them. Angel and Ravyn waved back and walked over to the three. "Ready to go home?" Dragon asked when he met up with them. Both Angel and Ravyn nodded. "Hell yes, I want this day to be over already!" Everyone agreed with her and the five of them headed for their cars and getting inside and heading for home.

Notes

Author's Note:

I think this is the longest chapter I have ever done for this story! I got really detailed in it because as I was writing it I began thinking back on all the things I did in High School, and while I didn't exactly go off campus for lunch like Ravyn and the others did, I did in fact do a lot of the things mentioned in here and seeing as Ravyn is supposed to be me, I wanted to showcase that. The funny thing? I don't normally get this detailed unless I'm high off my ass. Then I get REALLY detailed and end up writing chapters that are Goddess only knows how long and have a lot of run on sentences and shit like that lmao.

Eddie Flores, Alyssa Dunmire, Ashley Maia, Matt Doyle, Patrick Mester, Mike Vandermolen (still don't think I spelled that right but oh well, too late now!), Alyssa Bruce, Dylan Gifford, Christopher Basil, and Jonathon Mullinix are all real people and teachers that I knew when I was back at Enochs. Just thought I'd mention that lmao. Also, like Ravyn's grandparents (her Nana and Papa), my own Nana and Papa DID at ONE TIME own their own country style restaurant. That is where I got the idea for that. UNlike Ravyn's Nana and Papa, I am still in constant contact with MY Nana (I don't talk to my Papa anymore after I found out he cheated on my Nana with someone they used to work with). I love my Nana dearly and miss being at her house like I used to when I was living both with her and just down the road from her lmao.

County Honor Choir at MJC is ALSO a real think that I did my senior year of High School. I was one of the Soprano's in my choir class alongside my friend Lexus (who plays Alanni in this story) and our friends Alyssa Bruce (Alto), Dylan Gifford (Bass), and Chris Basil (Alto)- see, told you they were real people!

Anyways, the song Alta Trinita Beata was an actual song my choir class sang, and while I had to go onto google translate to get the Italian translation to the song, the English translation is exactly what had been written on the piece of paper that had the song on it.

As for the poem, "Cutter's Lullaby", that's an actual real poem as well. It's mine. I wrote it on March 21st, 2009. I made it on that day because that was the day my cat Clover Marie Wood (who died of feline diabetes on January 27th of the same year), would have turned eight years old. But like I said, I lost her two months earlier on the 27th of January and I was a complete wreck afterwards for the longest time. I still get depressed when the 27th of January and the 21st of March roll around. She was the world to me and that was the reason I had Ravyn get the tattoo of Clover's name on her arm in the last chapter. I want to get the same tattoo whenever I get the chance. I plan for it to be my first tattoo honestly.

As for anything else that I may have missed (although I don't think I did), most to all of them are real events that happened to me. YES Mullinix tried to manipulate/seduce me away from Angel (My fiancee Jonathan's character), and NO FoeNyx (my friend Felicity's character) and Dragon (my friend Ryan's character) never got together. Felicity once had a major crush on Ryan when she first came to Enochs but Ryan turned her down (in a really BAD way that earned him a good SLAP from me later) and they never officially got together. I for a while kept up hope that they would but it never happened unfortunately. She DID get with Mullinix though and that ended up with her being raped by him for four months of their relationship. I STILL want to kill that bastard for what he did to her and the one time I DID see him- over at MJC when I was in college- I actually pulled out my pocket knife that I always carried on me and when he caught sight of me- and the most likely ENRAGED look on my face- he took off like The Greek God Hades was on his heels and was going to drag him down to Tarturus to pay for his crimes if he ever caught him. Honestly? I HOPE the bastard is sent to Tarturus and he's tortured for the rest of eternity for the crimes he's committed. THAT'S how much I hate that bastard.

Anyways, enough about all that shit. Next chapter I may continue with Ravyn's POV, I may not, I'm not too sure just yet. I mostly use Ravyn and all them (when its in her POV), for filler chapters, when I can't think of anything to write with Vixen and Andy but have a few ideas for Ravyn and Angel and shit. So I dunno if I'm gonna do another Ravyn and Angel chapter or if I'm gonna go back to Vixen and Andy. I guess we'll just have to see soon.

Hopefully I'll get to work on that chapter soon. MAY end up playing Five Nights At Freddy's (which by the way, I know I mentioned that game in the last chapter or the one before it, and that game didn't technically come out until 2014, but I couldn't resist using it in the story seeing as I had the chance to haha.

Alright I'll shut up now and hopefully get to work on chapter 36 soon (Damn! Have I really done THAT MANY chapters?! Holy shit!). Until then...

Until next time my Dark Lovelies! See you on the Other side and Blessed Be!

I thought you might like that bit. Thought about a smut scene between them but decided against it for now.
Also! Started up another story that ties into this one but its about Ravyn and the gang, thought you might want to read it, seeing as you like Ravyn so much, so I'm posting the link to it here. Cant do the bvb fafanfic site (here) cause Andy and them don't show up for a long while and shit but here's the link to the story if you wanna read it:

Yeah I tend to go into a lot of detail when I talk about High School and stuff sorry about that lol. Anyways, Writing always helped me pay attention back then and doodling every once in a while lol Also wanted to show you this. This is the new cover my friend Alexis (aka Kat) made for the book. I wanted to put it up in the characters section but its not showing up much like Dragon's did (stupid thing). So here's what it looks like. Tell me what you think kay?
