Falling

I woke up, my eyes slamming down again like heavy steel shutters. Where the fuck was I? Why did everything hurt so much?

I turned on my side and opened my eyes again to see Andy lying on a hospital bed, eyes closed, machines beeping all around us. I wanted to say something. His name. But the heavy veil of sleep and the drugs slowly seeping into my arms prevented me from doing so.

A nurse came in with 3 other guys, they looked familiar....

I wanted to sleep, so bad.....so bad. My mind raced with thoughts magnifying my pain a thousand times. I needed to stay awake.

Andy. Andy. Andy. Andy? Andy what is going on? Help me...I...I....I don't......Andy? Andy talk to me.........

Shiftinh slightly I turned to fave the 3 guys who came in.

"Blaise? Blaise?! Are you ok? Can you hear me?" I heard a very familiar voice. Ashley Purdy.

Ashley? Ashley.

I couldnt speak. I wanted to, I screamed his name in my head hoping that he could hear me..but of course he couldn't.

I strained my voice and made a tiny squeak. Better than nothing. Again I tried to say his name.

"A.......a.....ash..........Ashley...." I managed to get it out in a barely audible whisper.

My head lolled to the side and I passed out again......
