Falling

The next few days went past in a blur, Scarlett was as bitchy as ever but had toned it down since her boyfriend came back from hospital, his arm bandaged in a white cast. Scarletts boyfriend was a jock, having been rugby tackled by a few friends he twisted his arm badly and was rushed to hospital, Scarlett simpering at his side. I had a feeling she only used him for the popularity, but who was i to judge? Right on time, they walked past me giving me dirty glares and whispering to each other, but i pretended not to notice. Good choice too.

School went by like a blur and befor i knew it, school was out. Finally i have escaped the hell hole after 5 years there! I woke up really late on a sunny, saturday morning, relishing the feeling of no school for 3 months, when my phone beeped into life alerting me that i had a text.

Kayla: Heyy lazy bum, i feel so much better now. Wanna hang out soon? park @ 11am?
Me: Heyy, morning, i just woke up. Have to ask my parents tho :/ hopefully i'll see you soon?!?! :)
Kayla: OK, text me if they say yes kayyy?? xxxx


I jumped out of bed, pulling on some black leggings and a bright green BVB t-shirt, lacing up my favourite studded converses. After applying my make-up and doing my hair, i grabbed a small leather skull bag and put my phone in it and headed downstairs. "Morning mum, dad, umm, Kayla and i were going to go to the park today so, um, i'll be back at like 9?? i asked gingerly.
"Nope, you're not going anywhere today, you're going to clean the house, me and your mom are going out instead." my dad replied with a stern face.
"B-but, i really want to go, i mean i haven't seen Kayla for ages!!! its not fair! " i whined like a three year old. Bad desicion...
"Are you talking back to me?!" He half screamed at me
"Who the hell are you to decide when and where you go out? its up to me and i said no!" he shouted.
"S-s-sorry, i didn't m-mean it li-" He slapped me hard around the face sending me reeling backwards, cupping my fragile cheek in my hand as i fell to the ground. Slow, hot tears trickled out of my eyes. One, two , three kicks in the face, blood pouring from my nose onto my clothes, a busted lip and cuts above my eyebrows forced me to stay on the ground. My head throbbed and i couldnt feel my nose. "You're not to leave this house do you understand me?!!! Now get out of my face! GO!" he screamed before stomping away with my mom and slamming the door behind him.

God knows how I managed to get up to my room and text Kayla...Me:Sorry, parents said no, maybe some other time.
I cleaned up my cuts and fell into a sleep so dark, i wish i didn't wake...
