Falling

I woke up to the familiar sound of Black Veil Bride's The legacy blasting out of my phone as always. Slowly getting up and stretching I smiled for the first time in a long time -- today was the last week of school!!! I danced around the room, nodding my head in time with CC's drumming, picking my favourite clothes for school. I finally settled on ripped, black skinny jeans, a black BVB tank top, studded black converses and a red chequered shirt over the tank top, buttons un-done. I did my make up, the usual very black eyes and pale face, with some peach lip-gloss, I fluffed up my hair making it fall in a dishevelled mess around my shoulders and arranged my black fringe over one of my eyes.

The heavy mass of my many BVB bracelets and studded wristbands clanked gently as I made my way down the steps and grabbed my emo-fied Hello Kitty backpack before heading to the bus-stop. I plugged my earphones in as I walked down the street, rebel love song blasting in my ears. When the bus pulled up, I hoisted my bag on my shoulder and got on, taking my usual seat at the front where no-one else was except the driver.

After a short and thankfully uneventful bus journey I hopped off at the school gates, stowing my phone away in my pocket. As I walked I tried to ignore the dirty glares I got from everyone passing me, until I saw Scarlett...She looked me up and down shoved me against the wall, grabbed my bag and emptied the contents on the floor kicking all my books everywhere. Then she pushed me to the ground so hard the air was knocked out of my chest. I lay there gasping for breath, when I heard her bitchy voice in my ear, " awwww maybe you should look where you're going next time! What did I say about walking near me in the hallways? You stupid whore!" she said nastily, and walked away leaving me alone in the hallway. I gathered my things and hastily shoved them in my bag and rushed to 1st class.

I walked in unnoticed and sat down as far as I could from everyone else. Where was Kayla? I thought to myself. Just then my phone beeped, I pulled it out reading the message.
Kayla: Heyy Blaise, so sorry I cant come in, I have a nasty bug not feeling too great, I probably wont be in for the whole week. I am so sorry tho, keep that head up and smile and ignore anything that Scarlett says to you, she is such a bitch xxx kayla

I stared blankly at the small screen, oh great, a lonely last week of school with a bunch of bitches. I replied quickly with: Ok no worries, I hope you get better soon kayla xxx Blaise.


Classes went by that day quickly and with no other incidents thankfully. As the bell sounded for home, I grabbed my bag and headed home.

As I unlocked the front door, I found a note taped to the door. I pulled it down opening it gingerly as I walked into the house and up the stairs after locking the door behind me. "Hi Blaise, your dad and I had to pop out for a while, something came up, there is stuff in the fridge and $10 on the kitchen table if you need anything else. When we get back we expect you in bed by the way! xoxo mum and dad." The note read.

Lovely. I picked up a couple pop tarts and headed to my room where I sang and danced to music from my fave band for hours until I heard a car pull up in the drive. Startled, I looked out the window, in the dark light I realised my parents were back.

I got changed quickly and dived into bed turning the speakers and lights off, and headed into a sleep like black velvet...
