One Of The Guys

As I sat at my kitchen table waiting for the phone to ring shivers ran down my spine. Four hours had passed since my chat with CC, I was starting to get uneasy.
What if they saw someone better than me after I auditioned? Was CC just saying those things to calm my nerves?
Finally, at 9.32pm the phone rang. It was an unknown number, but I knew damn well who it was. I dived on the phone and answered it after just one ring.
“Hello?” I said timidly.
“Hey [name]! It’s CC from Black Veil Brides. I have you on speaker here with all of the other guys.”
I heard mumbled ‘Hey’s’, ‘Hi’s’ and ‘Hello’s’ from Ashley, Andy and Jake.
“Listen, [name]. We were all very impressed with both your auditions and, we’d like to offer you the place in the band!” CC seemed enthusiastic, like he’d been waiting to say those words all day long. Even though I knew this was coming, I still got butterflies and lost the ability to form full sentences.
“Oh wow, I… Uhmm... Thank you so much!”
“So we’ll start rehearsal tomorrow, could you make it back to the studio for 1pm?" asked CC.
"Sure! Of course!"
“Yeah and tell her to wear something nice…” Andy’s voice was easily recognisable and infuriating. The voices on the phone laughed.
“Shut the fuck up Andy” laughed Jake. “[name], wear whatever you want and feel free to punch Andy in the face”.
Don’t mind if I do…
“Okay, see you tomorrow!” I heard a chorus of ‘goodbye’s’ before the line went dead

Rehearsals over the next couple weeks were both amazing and shitty. They were amazing because I got to hang out with the guys all day, five days a week. I already knew most of the songs, now I just had to perfect them. The guys were great, they treated me as if I had always been a part of the band. We joked and laughed and generally had a good time, goofing around in the studio.
Rehearsals were shitty at times because of Mr. Andy Biersack. Not one word had been spoken about our encounter in the bathroom. He generally pretended I wasn't there. I assumed he hadn't told Ashley, CC or Jake about what happened, so I kept quiet about it too.

About a month after I had been accepted into the band we were just finishing a rehearsal. Up until then, the public had no idea who the newest member of Black Veil Brides was. The press release was tomorrow. There would be a huge meet up with all the local newspapers, TV stations and gossip websites.
CC and I were walking out of the studio, side by side, Andy lagging behind. CC and I had grown close over the past month. I would say we were the closest out of everyone.
"So if we get there for 10am we can avoid anyone seeing you before the release. The press should arrive there at about 12pm, and then it all goes down!" exclaimed CC. My stomach flipped at the thought of hundreds of people looking at me and asking me questions. I exhaled. CC sensed my anxiety. "You'll do amazing [name], I know you will" he gave me a reassuring hug.
We parted ways, CC headed back to his penthouse apartment and me heading to my shitty one bedroom apartment. I was practising my answers for the press release tomorrow when somebody grabbed my wrist. I jumped and turned around to see Andy.
"What the fuck Andy? You scared the shit out of me!" my heart still racing, I looked up into his icy blue eyes.
"You know, you really shouldn't be walking alone this late at night" he said, still holding onto my wrist tightly.
"I'm a big girl Andy, I'm more than capable of taking care of myself" I tried to pull my wrist away, but he held on tightly.
"Let me walk you home, where do you live?" he asked.
"What the fuck? You completely ignore me for a month and now suddenly you want to walk me home? What? Did you run out of girls to fuck?"
"[name]" he said sternly. "Where do you live? I'm walking you home." God his voice sounded so good when he said my name. Although I was pissed I couldn't help but fall for his husky voice and piercing blue eyes.
"I live in Jones-town, near the railway station." I sighed.
"Okay good. Lets get you home" he smirked.
We walked in silence for a while. I constantly worried about what he was thinking. What game was he playing? What was he trying to do? You don't just have sex with girls the first time you see them, then not talk to them for a month. Especially if they're the newest member of your band!
Suddenly Andy stopped. "Hey, lets go this way, I know a short cut"he said, gesturing towards a deserted alley.
"Uhhhmmm...." I hesitated. "I normally tend to avoid dark alleyways at night"
"Well, you're with me now, I'll keep you safe. Plus, it'll take like 10 minutes off the journey" he walked away down they alley. I jogged to catch up with him.
"You know, I really think it would be safer if-" before I could finish my sentence he grabbed me. He pressed me against the hard wall, grabbing my wrists and bringing them above my head. He kissed me, and bit my lip.
Oh shit.
