One Of The Guys

As morning came we arrived at our next venue. CC woke me up with a kiss on my forehead.
"Good Morning Beautiful" he said.
"Nooooo.." I moaned sleepily. "It's too early" I complained. CC chuckled. "Come on, get up! We're going exploring today before the show" he kissed my lips. Finally I opened my eyes to see his smiling face on top of me. How could I resist that face? I pecked him on the lips, then kissed him again, slowly and softly, pulling him towards me. "Wouldn't you rather stay in bed all day, I mean, I'm already naked" I whispered in his ear. He smiled and kissed me. "No, get your ass up, we're going exploring" he was gone before I could say anything else, leaving me sitting on the bed alone and horny.

When I eventually got up we had a pretty fun day exploring the city we were in. It was mostly sightseeing with a bit of shopping. We tried to keep to ourselves but somehow fans kept finding us. It was exciting for me because, they were actually starting to recognise me, and ask for my picture/autograph instead of just CC's. CC was off. Every time I tried to hold his hand or kiss him, he would pull away. It felt like how we were when we were just friends. Maybe it was just because he didn't want any photographers to see, who knows?

Ashley, Jake, CC and I were ready early for the show, so we all sat in my dressing room, talking and having a pre-show drink.
"Did you see the dent in the cabinet in the kitchen?" asked Ashley enthusiastically.
"Yeah! What the fuck, man? Somebody got an-gry" laughed Jake. I stared at the ground.
"It was probably there all along and we're only noticing it now" piped CC. A voice came over the intercom; "All members of Black Veil Brides, this is your 10 minute call"
"We better get going" I said "I want to check on my guitar before we start" I headed for the door.
"Somebody needs to find Andy and let him know we're starting" said Jake. I exited the room, not wanting to get involved. Seeing as I was probably the reason Andy was off sulking somewhere. CC and I headed up towards the stage, jumping up and down getting our adrenaline pumping for a good show. I checked my guitar. CC came behind me and gave me a kiss. I smiled
"What was that for?" I asked.
"Just some good luck" he winked.
"Guys! Guys! I'm fine, just let go of me" Andy's voice was unmistakable. Jake and Ashley had arrived with him, each holding one of his arms. Was he drunk? He spotted me.
"Hello Little Hurricane" he winked. He was drunk. He was definitely drunk. I sighed.
"You better get your shit together, Andy" Ashley said, as if pep-talking him would sober him up. "There are people out there that paid a lot of money to come see us play, we can't let them down" said Ashley.
"When have I ever let a crowd down?" said Andy, opening his arms wide, then stumbling backwards a little.
Our stage manager approached us; "Stand-by guys, we're about to go live".
"Andy you're a fucking idiot" I mumbled, before heading on stage.

The first half of the show was okay; Ashley, CC, Jake and I all played well, and Andy was drunkenly enthusiastic, to say the least. It was after the halfway point when things started to turn sour. Apparently, Andy had a little hip flask (or two by the looks of it) of whiskey hidden in his jacket. He was drinking it throughout the show and slowly getting more and more sloppy. Those poor fans I thought.
"Okay, Uhmm, this next song is.. uhh.." Andy slurred, forgetting the set list. Jake was closest to him and whispered what the next song was. "Oh yeah! This song is off our.. second? third? album?" he looked around the crowd as if he would get an answer. "Anyways, you'll looooove it, feel free to sing along or whatever" he slurred.
I started playing the intro to 'In The End'. I was focusing hard on the song and realised that Andy missed his cue to sing. He looked back at all of us, asking for the words.
"In the end as you.. na na something something... who will something... na na na of your life.." that was as good as his singing got, before descending into complete 'na na na'. He was tumbling around the stage, the crowd started booing.
"Oh fuck off" he cried to the crowd. We stopped playing completely. All we could hear was the boos of the crowd and Andy's mean comments back to them. I have to do something. Without even realising what I was doing, I left my stage marker and headed for Andy microphone. I played the first chord;
"In the end,
as you fade into the night.

It was just me and my guitar. I shook, I wasn't used to singing in front of crowds, especially not angry ones. Thankfully Ashley joined in on bass.

At this point CC and Jake understood what was going on, and joined in too. The crowd turned their attention away from Andy, to me. They joined in singing, and seemed to enjoy me leading the group. I looked over to Andy, who sulked off the stage, no doubt punching a wall or two.
The rest of the show was amazing. I somehow managed to make it through the rest of the set list, both singing and playing guitar. At first the crowd were shocked with something so new, but they seemed to love me by the end of the show. I felt bad for Andy. I didn't want to steal his position, I just didn't was to disappoint the fans. Nevertheless, I continued and put on a good show.

Sooooorry it took me so long to update! I wasn't feeling the best yesterday and I felt like if I wrote it wouldn't have any life to it. Only feeling a little better today, so sorry for the dull chapter. I promise I'll write you guys an amazing one when I'm feeling better!
