Little Miss Suicide

"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry!" Juliet and I said at the same time. She laughed and held out a hand to help me up. I accepted and smiled at her as she helped me up.

Then, she noticed Andy beside me. She frowned deeply.

"So... Um... I'm guessing you're Alex." She mumbled, seeming rather pissed.

"Um... yeah..." I said. Things were getting quite awkward. Juliet chuckled a little.

"So this is the girl who stole you from me around two years ago?" She asked, turning to Andy with a sad look in her eyes.

"What are you talking about? We just started dating like-" I trailed off, realizing what she was referring to.

Andy and I met eachother about three years ago, like I've said before. About two years ago is when we started becoming really close. I remembered Andy breaking up with Juliet around that time, but I had no idea it was for me.

Andy hugged me tightly, knowing I'd just realized what happened.

"You really didn't know?" Juliet asked. I shook my head no, and she smiled sadly at me.

"I hope she's worth it, Andy," She said. I could see tears in her eyes as she started to turn and walk away.

I grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a tight hug. She stood still for a moment, but then slowly hugged me back.

"I'm sorry, Juliet, I didn't mean to steal him from you. You're a wonderful person, and I'd never want to hurt you," I said. She started hugging me even tighter. After about a minute she pulled away and smiled at me.

"Thank you, Alex. You're a cool person. I can see why he chose you," She whispered, then walked away.

Andy walked up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist yet again.

"I'm proud of you, Alex. You could've totally started a fight with her or insulted her and I wouldn't have even gotten mad, but instead you chose to comfort her. Things like this are why I love you so much, you're such a kind and caring person," He said smiling.

I chuckled. "I just know I'd be devastated if I were her," I mumbled.

Andy turned me around and kissed me gently, hugging me tightly to him. He grabbed my hand and we started walking back to our bus. For the rest of the evening, we watched Batman and nibbled on popcorn while the other guys drank and talked. I realized, while everyone else has been drinking and even getting drunk every once and a while, Andy's totally laid off the alcohol.

"Why aren't you drinking with your bros?" I asked him.

"Because you can't drink yet, and I don't want to do anything you can't too," He said and kissed my cheek.

"Well, don't let me hold you back from fun!" I chuckled. He smiled and hugged me.

"Being with you is enough fun, thanks," He mumbled.

"Do you ever find it weird that you're dating someone so much younger than you?" I chuckled. He just shrugged.

"Love is love, no matter the age or anything else about the person," He said smiling.

He pulled me close to him and his lips brushed against my hair.

"No matter how young you are, Alex, you're perfect and I wouldn't have things any other way,"

I smiled and giggled. "Even with all these scars?" I asked, not only referring to my physical self-harming scars, but my emotional ones as well.

"They're battle scars, and they're just evidence of how you've risen against so many struggles in life. Be proud of them," He said, kissing my wrist. I smiled and blushed.

I got up and yawned, stretching as I walked to our bunk. I was so fucking tired. I climbed in the bed and closed my eyes, feeling sleep seep in within seconds.

I felt Andy climb in behind me and wrap his arms around me. He kissed the top of my head and whispered "Goodnight, little angel."

As I drifted off to sleep, I thought to myself,

Love is so strange.....
But I wouldn't have it any other way.
