(Jinxx’s POV)
‘The mystic…’ I laugh to myself, as I thought of the pun, while I think. ‘yeah it’s a cool nickname, considering I go by a name that means: bad luck and curse. Mystic…why did the guys chose this name for me in our concept album? I will never know…though to me ‘mystic’ isn’t just a name. It’s who I am. The one time I was able to use my ‘powers’ in this life, they digitalized it in with all this new technology that now runs our world. Though I guess I’ll never be able to use my powers for real.
“Hey…Jinxx…are you with us?” Andy asked as he pulled me away from my thoughts.
“What?” I answered.
Ashley laughed with amusement in his voice. “ Fork it over Andy, I won.”
Andy growled as he dug in his pocket for his wallet to get the money…how can they be so easy going? If only they knew what I was and what could possibly be waiting for them. NO! I shook my head in frustration. I won’t let them get hurt because of what I am…besides Ash would be pissed off or shocked, if he knew how old I really am. I laughed to myself, a smile spreading on my face. He would be so pissed and shocked…but…what if he comes back to haunt me? Not Ash…but this young man who claimed to be my best friend a century ago. Reign…is his name…Reign would’ve done anything to save his true love from his death. Though he was too late and now he’s after some girl named Bethanne. Who is this Bethanne and what does he want with her?
(Ashley’s POV)
I sit across from Jinxx. I studied his face…he’s deep in thought. What is it that he’s thinking? I want know. He laughs at something. He had laughed before while in his thoughts, but he also shook his head furiously.
We were all sitting on the bus, since we were just sitting in Mexico. Suddenly Jinxx stands up as he got out of his thoughts. His necklace with a clear white stone and black and white stone like gems, dangled a bit before resting back on his chest. We had asked him what it was before and all we got in response was that it was a family heirloom. We left it at that.
“I’m going out to get some fresh air.” he said. “Text me if you need me for something.”
“Is something wrong?” Andy asked, hinting that he knows something is wrong.
“I…I just need some air. I’ll be fine, when I get back.” Jinxx said as he headed for the door.
“I’ll go with him, to see if he’s really all right.” CC said as he got up, when Jinxx had gone out.

(Jinxx’s POV)
I heard the door open up behind me as I continued to walk.
“Hey man, wait up.” I hear CC calling me from behind.
I sighed as I stopped. I told them I’ll be fine. Who put him up to this?
“What’s wrong? You seemed caught up in your thoughts back there.” he said.
I sighed again. “You wouldn’t understand, even if I told you.” I answered his question.
“Come on, at least let one of your big bros help if something is troubling you.”
I unintentionally laughed at this, knowing just how wrong he was about the age difference. I’ve seen things that weren’t even described in his history books when he was going to school, but I was thankful to go to these ‘new’ schools…because they filled me in on what I had missed when I was recovering from using my lifelong power.
“What’s so funny?” he asked.
“Sorry…I didn’t mean to laugh.” I said honestly as I shake my head.

How's it going? I just thought that it would be helpful to fully explain what a mystic is for this story purposes as well the terms that will be used...so here ya go...
Mystics are beings often confused with witches and can live up to seven millenniums, that is if they’re able to find their true love within their first millennium. The mystics have special abilities based on their family bloodline. Though all mystics have the power to change their ‘age’ appearance to make them look younger or older then they really are in mortal reality. Their height can only go up to five feet and eleven inches in males; five feet and five and a half inches tall in females. The mystic race is on the verge of extinction, because they can’t find their true love within the millennium that they were born into. The mystic true love is one that if the male gains all of their partners powers before the end of the millennium that they were born into, they will both die...though the female would be the first to go and the male would follow only a month after, when he becomes dark. If their true love happen to be homosexual, the one that is more feminine will die first followed by the one that is more masculine in the same manner of the heterosexual relationship. Mystics can go dark and survive, only if their true love dies before their birth millennium, is up, and had met or married this is for both.
When mystics use their power, they can have either one or two powers in their familial lineage, their eyes white out and then return to their natural color. Depending on how white out their eyes are, determines how much power they use. Once the blood veins of the eyes are completely covered, there is no turning back until they exhaust themselves; which in turn causes the mystic to pass out.
It’s is possible for one mystic to have more than one true love, but the effects will be the same. Though the time span of finding the other or others will be longer than the first…as long as both parties are the same age regardless of race…and are both still alive when the one the mystic is bound to dies.
It’s is possible for mystics to have children with their mortal true love before becoming a mystic, but it’ll result in that child or children to have no family mystic powers. They’ll only get the powers that every other mystic has. If a mystic has sex with the wrong mystic, then both mystics become sterile.

For Jinxx and Angel; their millennium is up on their birthday of the year 2166.

Mystical Terms:

• Birth Millennium= The millennium that they were born into ex. the year 2000
• Cover name= a name that an individual Mystic uses to identify themselves to Humans.
• Real name= the name given to an individual Mystic at birth, the name usually reflects the abilities of the family the mystic is born into.
• False death= means you’re able to regenerate your life, starting either as a baby or the age you meet your true love. Majority of the mystics who do this, has a human fatal disease…it’s an easy way out to stop humans to question whether the mystics are human or not….Jinxx had to do this twice, due to human diseases which ‘killed’ him in his previous lives.
• Final Death= means death…by ‘the disease’ or a natural cause like a car accident, natural disaster (like tsunamis, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, etc.), murdered, or the birth millennium is up.
• True mystic= a mystic who lived passed their first millennium.
• False mystic= a mystic born with ‘human’ qualities, while still be able to live for seven millenniums. They cannot pass on their familial powers. Also known as a fraud and a mistake, which is considered a cuss word if used against a person who is a false mystic. Ex. Travis Ferguson
• Born mystic= a mystic who has ‘born’ and ‘familial’ powers. Ex. Jinxx
• Turned mystic= a sleeping mystic who had awaken.
• Mystic stone= an actual stone shard or metal pendant that’s on a family heirloom that changes from it’s natural color to pink to red and back to it’s natural color, when mystics find their true love and progress their relationship. They have limited healing powers and can only be used to heal the wearer. They cannot heal anyone else.
• ‘That was my last life’/‘It’s one of my past lives’= since mystics live for seven millenniums, they split up their lives into human lives to stop those humans are lucky enough to live for a century to question the mystics young appearance. This gives them the time to regenerate their powers which in turn causes them to be ‘reborn’ as a baby or to the age they found their true love.
• Powers= known as ‘talents’ or ‘abilities’ as code in the human language if the mystics don’t want the humans to know about them being a mystic. These are magical naturals that are instilled in the mystics from birth. There are two kinds of powers. The first one being a common power of aging that every mystic gets whether they were born or turned mystics. The second is familial which are powers passed down from both sides of the family. If one parent is a false mystic, then the child or children will only get the familial powers of the parent who is a true or turned mystic.
• True Love= the one person that was ‘born’ to be partners with the mystic. There is a possibility that one mystic can have more than one person, but never at the same time. If this person dies, before the mystic finds them then they’ll be in final death if this person happens to be mystic as well. Ex. Magma-Fire (famous mystics who died before Jinxx’s life began). If they are found, but not together, then the mystic will still live if this person dies. Ex. Reign-Tallie. If this person is human, then the mystic has to turn them mystic when the human is ready to be turned. If they touch bare skin to bare skin, for example a handshake, the human will see their life with the mystic for only a second...if they touch again nothing will happen.
• Sleeping mystic= humans with familial powers of a mystic, which cannot awaken until they met their true love and become a mystic themselves. They only have one true love. the term is used only when the human isn’t turned.
• Fairy mystic= mystics that are often mistaken as a fairy, because these rare mystics have fairy wings. Though they are 100% mystic. They have a second born power that allows them to hide their wings.
