Blood Thirsty

*Ashley's POV*

I sat in my bunk, listening to Andy and Jake talking. What the fuck am I going to do?! I don't want to become a vampire, and slowly, one by one, my friends are becoming vampires. How much longer until it happens to me?!?! My thoughts where interrupted by someone opening my curtain. I turned my head to see Jinxx standing there. "Can I come in?" He asked quietly. I nodded my head before scooting over. He lifted himself into the bunk before he shut the curtain. "Are you okay?" He asked, looking at me with concern. I stayed quiet for a few moments. "I-I'm just afraid that I'm going to become a vampire..... First Andy, then you, and now Jake...... How long is it going to be before I'm next....." I whispered softly, feeling tears threatening to fall from my eyes. It was silent. "Well, neither Andy nor Jake actually chose to be vampires. I became one out of choice, but even then, I sometimes miss being human, but being a vampire isn't really much different than being human. The only real difference is my diet, and the fact that I have to put on lotion before I go outside during the day. I'm not saying that you should expect to become a vampire, but it's not the end of the world if you do become one." Jinxx said, staring at the ceiling. Surprisingly, his words made me feel better. I guess I have been so worried that I would become as bad as Andy had been before he took that trip into the mountains, that I let that fear take hold of me. I really shouldn't worry about it. "But in all seriousness, we are going to try everything in our ability to keep you and CC from becoming vampires." He added, smiling at me. He gave me a quick hug before he opened the curtain, got up, then shut the curtain again. Now that I think about it, Jinxx hasn't acted different since his transformation, and Andy has gone back to the way he used to be. I still don't want to be a vampire, but I guess it wouldn't be that horrible....

*time jump*

I finally got the courage to step out of my bunk, and get some food. I walked into the lounge to see Jake asleep on the couch, with Andy sitting near him, watching Batman on the TV. He looked up at me and smiled wearily. "Hey, Ash." He said softly. I smiled and looked at Jake, making sure that he didn't wake up. Andy chuckled a little. "Don't worry, he's out like like a light. He won't be getting up anytime soon. And even if he were up, he drank a lot of wolves blood today, so he would be safe to be around." He reassured me. I relaxed a bit, and grabbed an apple, biting into it. "What is it like being a vampire, Andy?" I asked quietly, not sure how he would react. He smiled sadly at me, thinking about how to respond to my question. "Well, other than the fact that I drink blood and the whole sunlight thing, it's like being a human. The way I was, that isn't how it's really like. The deer blood really fucked me up, and me not feeding enough made things worse. So, don't take me as an example of what being a vampire is like, okay?" he whispered. I nodded my head. I ate my apple, then went back to my bunk.
