Fvck The Haters

“WAY TO GO KILLER!” Jake shouted. Hannah cheered with him.

I opened my eyes and dropped my arms from Lauren’s waist in embarrassment. She giggled, placed a hand at the back of my neck and stood on her tiptoes to kiss me a second time.

Hannah and Jake cheered loudly, arms around each other and looking at us.

Lauren kept her arms around my shoulders, looking into my eyes. “So.” She said quietly.

“Yeah.” I laughed.

I didn’t want to ever leave her embrace. She nuzzled into my collarbone and sighed loudly, wrapping my arms tightly around her, unable to believe she was in my arms. I nuzzled the top of her hair. It did smell like a mixture of candy and cherries. Smiling again, I breathed as much of it in as I could.

When Jake and Hannah got back into their cars, I was still embracing Lauren and swaying slightly.

“Let’s go!” Hannah yelled.

Lauren looked up into my eyes. “I want this night to last forever.” She said quietly.

“So do I.” I admitted, smiling.

Jake leaned on the horn and scared me to death. Lauren laughed at him. I kissed her smile and sighed.

“I really like you.” She whispered in my ear.

“I really like you too.” I whispered back.

“Let’s go!” Hannah honked her horn repeatedly.

Lauren held up her middle finger toward them and kissed me again, slipping her tongue in my mouth and running it down the length of my tongue slowly. She pulled away from me and bit her lip.

“See you tomorrow.” She shouted as she ran to Hannah’s car.

I was still standing where I’d held Lauren in his arms for the first time. I didn’t want to leave.

Jake pulled his mom’s car up next me with a smirk on his face. “You gonna stand there with an awkward boner all night?” He asked.

“Screw you.” I said as I got in the car.

“Looks like you finally grew a pair.” He teased.

“You gonna keep this up all night?” I ignored him and turned the music up.

“Until you stop blushing like a fangirl.” He turned the music down.

“Ayyyy.” I looked at him questioningly, reaching to turn the music back up.

He sighed. “There’s something I have to tell you about Ashley.” He sounded uncertain.

“Dude.” I turned the music back up again. “I need to make the good part of this night last a little bit longer.” I said dismissively. I stuck my arm out the window and let my hand surf in the wind, thinking of Lauren again.
