Love or Infatuation

"Sam wake up!" A man yells making me open my eyes up wide. Andy, where is he? I turn to see... Jeremy?

"Jeremy, what are you-" I'm cut off.

"One, I go by Jinxx now. Two, what the hell were you thinking? You can't smoke weed in school!" He yells, he's pissed.

"I'm sorry, but you still haven't answered my question. What are you doing here?" I ask.

"I moved back home and Andy's my friend. So when he told me what happened, I had to make sure you were okay."

"I am, now where are we?"

"We're in the little shack next to the skatepark, Kat and Noah are outside with everyone else."

"Everyone?"

"Andy, Ashley, CC, and Jake."

"Okay I know Andy, but who are the others?"

"Friends."

I get to my feet and walk out of the shack, Jinxx right behind me.

"Do you know where my skateboard is?" I ask.

"No, I guess you left it in your locker." He says.

"That's fucking perfect!" I say sarcastically.

We approach the others and I sit next to Noah, leaning on his shoulder.

"Glad you're awake." Noah chuckles.

"Shut up dweeb." I say and let out a sigh. "Have you been home?"

"Yeah." He says.

"Does mom and dad know?" I ask.

"They know that you walked out of your class, but that's it."

"Okay, I can deal."

I look up from the ground to see my best friend kissing some guy. I look to my left to see Andy talking with Jeremy and someone else. I look to my right to see a guy on his phone. Hmm, who are these people and why are they with us right now?

"I think I'm gonna take a walk." I announce. I get up and start walking to the main road.

"Sam wait up!" Andy says catching up to me. Great, now I'm sober and stuck with him. Let's see how my stupidity gets in the way.

"Why'd you do it?" He asks.

"Cause I wanted to." Basically whenever I'm around him, I talk to the ground. A cool breeze makes my whole body shiver. I knew I should have worn my Sleeping With Sirens hoodie.

"Here," Andy puts his black leather jacket on me. God I love his cologne! Where did he get it, heaven? "You actually look kinda cute in it. With your petit body, three of you could fit in it." Oh thanks, make me feel like I have a twelve year old's body.

"Thanks." I managed to say.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" He asks making me burst out in laughter. "What?"

"Me have a boyfriend?" I say making me laugh even harder.

"What? Are you a lesbian or something?"

"No." I force myself to hold my laughter.

"Then why are you laughing?"

"Look at me! Do I look like someone who could get a guy? No! Kat is the hot one."

"Pfft."

"Did you just pfft me?"

"Yes I did Samantha, and I'd just like to point out you're actually carrying this conversation."

"Well yeah, you're asking me stupid questions." I state.

"How would it be stupid of me to ask if you have a boyfriend? Look at yourself! You're hotter than you think." He says a bit angry.

"You're mad." I say.

"I am."

"Why?"

"I don't know Sam, sometimes you just make me angry."

"Sometimes? You only started talking to me today."

"Forget about it, see you tomorrow." He says and walks away.

He's really mad at me, but why? I didn't do anything. Whatever. You know I actually thought I had a chance to be with a guy like him. God I was wrong. He's way out of my league, I should finally come to terms with that.

I begin my journey back home. Time for the talk.
