Before The Angels Fell

Chapter Fourteen: Bright green eyes

Ashleys POV

I was jealous. I was beyond jealous.
I watched them the entire time they were performing and when he took her backstage. Andy never does that. But I could see why he made the exception. Riley was beautiful, hell she was the sexiest thing I'd ever seen.
I had seen her in the crowd. The pink highlights in her make up made her stand out. She was different. I liked that. But she wasn't mine.
I suppose I could help Andy land her.
As I was packing all my stuff, Andy came into the dressing room and gathered his stuff.
"Hey, where did Riley go?" I asked casually.
"She went to go find her friend."
"Is she coming back?" I chuckled.
"I hope so. I gave her my pass so she could get back in here."
"You what? Dude, what happened to my player?" I said, trying to mask my jealously.
"I've changed Ashley. This tour has shown me what I want, and I want a relationship. That girl, is going to be mine" he said, giving me a confident smile.
"Why do you want her so badly?"
"I have no idea. She has these bright green eyes and you can get lost in them" he mused.
"Okay, you're losing me. I'm gonna go put this in the bus" I said leaving the dressing room. I grabbed one of my guitar cases on the way and made my way to the back door.
As I push the door open and the warm breeze hits my skin, I saw Riley.
"Hey, Riley is it?" I asked obliviously.
"Yeah. So nice to officially meet you Ashley" she said smiling excitedly and extending her hand.
"Nice to meet you too. Why you out here?" I asked.
"Oh, I'm waiting for my friend. I asked Andy before if she could come with us. I didn't want her staying in our apartment alone" she said anxiously fidgeting where she was standing.
"Well that was nice of him. It so rare Andy parties with fans."
"Really? I hope we're not intruding" she said uneasily.
"Oh don't worry, trust me, it's a good thing. Andy likes you..." I said quietly.
"You're lying" she said smugly.
"I never lie, my sweet Riley" I smirked.
She looked at me oddly then her focus shifted. "I'll be right back" she said heading towards the other end of the driveway where a blonde woman was approaching.
"Ashley, this is my friend, Kimber" Riley said as she came back.
I could see Kimber shaking in her skin with excitement. "Oh my God, it's so nice to meet you Ashley. Huge fan" she said, trying to contain herself.
"Thanks. So how did you too meet?" I said winking at them.
They looked at each other, shook their heads and laughed. "It's not like that. I own a bar and Kimber showed up one day in need of a job... And a place... She's still sleeping on my couch" Riley said stating as a matter of factly.
"Hey, you offered" Kimber retorted.
"Well, we better get inside. I have to give this back to Andy" she said looking down at the artists pass.
"Okay, I'll let you go back inside. I'm sure Andy is wondering if you're coming back."
"Okay, nice to talk to you Ashley" Riley said passing me back through the door, along with Kimber.
'I don't want her, I don't want her. She's Andy's' I thought to myself.

Andys POV

I was still in my dressing room trying to get all my shit together, when I heard footsteps approaching. I all of a sudden felt nervous. I never got nervous. At the end of the day, she was a fan, she'd be the one who's nervous.
"Hey Andy, this is Kimber" Riley said as she walked in. Her voice pulling me from my thoughts.
"Oh, hey, you're back. Hi, Kimber. Nice to meet you" I said shaking her hand. "You ready to go?"
"Sure, where are we going?" Riley asked.
"Just a bar. We can talk" I said taking her hand. I saw her smile as she looked up at me.

I looked over at the booth where the other band members and Kimber, then at the one on the over with Riley.
I grabbed the beers off the bar and took them over to Riley.
"Thanks" she said as I put one in front of her.
"So how do you think the show went? Be honest, I can handle it."
"Well... " She paused, then laughed. "I'm kidding, it was awesome. You guys rock it every time."
"Oh, you've been to our shows before?" I asked surprised.
"No, I wish I had. I never really had the time" she said sadly.
"That sucks. So why didn't you have the time?"
"Just had a lot of stuff on at the time. Kind of had more important stuff to worry about."
"Like what?"
"Oh, family stuff, financial stuff. I wasn't always living it up in LA" she said looking down at her drink.
"Where did you live before?"
"Uhh, Las Vegas. Born and raised" she said lifting her glass and taking a long drink.
"You say that like it's a bad thing" I chuckled.
"It was. Horrible. Never again" she said taking another long drink.
"Why never again?"
"Let's just say, I don't ever wanna go back there. But enough about me, what about you?" She said nervously.
"Uhh, what would you like to know?" I said, biting on my lip ring.
"Tell me something that no one know" she smirked.
"Okay... Umm, okay, this is personal."
"Ooo, I'm intrigued."
"I generally keep my personal life to myself, but you know what I missed the most on tour?"
"What?" She said giggling.
"My cat" I smirked.
"I get the feeling that, that's really true" she said taking another sip.
"It is. So, what do you do here in LA? Find your calling?" I said almost sarcastically.
"Hmm, well my story is already quite cliche. 20 year old girl, leaving home to start over. Ends up on someone's couch, finds someone they may possibly have feelings for and..." She trailed off.
"And what?" I asked, wanting her to go on.
"They left."
"What'd you do then" I said, completely wrapped in her story.
"Nothing. I continued on with life. I went to work."
"What?! You didn't try to stop them?" I asked in shock.
"No. Cause... I shouldn't have to ask people to stay. If I was worth it, they would stay."
"I'd stay for you" I said leaning across the table.
She looked up at me with her bright green eyes and smiled.

@tinamoli
No I don't remember. I haven't reread the other stories and its been so long since I first read them. Lol. I'm going to read them again soon though. But still, even if I know it's not supposed to work, that doesn't make it not give me feels. Lol

I know Ashley is weird. Im just trying to establish a connection with Ashley and Riley without anything actually happening. Cause remember that Andy and Riley arent meant to work out. Thats why everything has to go wrong.

Dumb Andy for not stopping her or following her back! Though she did overreact. Doomed! :(
