the one that bites

Me and Amelia have been getting really close. I think she might actually trust me. I walk downstairs and hear groaning. I throw open the door and see Lica laying blow after blow on Amelia.

"Luca stop it!" He looks at me but keeps punching her. I run over but he holds his hand out. "You Dissonantia, have failed to deliver her proper punishments. So either so you start, or you will join her." He moves a side.

I hold back tears as I punch her repeatedly. Blood trails down her shirt from her nose and mouth. Luca smiles. "Good. Now here is the key to the other dungeon. Go find your gift." He smiles deviously. I grab it. "What did you do?" He just smiles. I quickly run to the other dungeon. Christian lies on the ground, chained to the wall, all bloody.

I rush over to him. "Come on. Wake up." He looks at me and smiles. "I'm fine. Don't worry." He says. I quickly unchain him. I pick him up and carry him to my room.

I sit him on the edge of the bathtub and clean him up. "Take a bath. I will be back after I tend to Amelia." He nods and grabs my wrist. He kisses me and my heart, my frozen, unbeating heart fills. He pulls away. "Go take care of her."

I quickly run back down stairs and see Luca is gone. I quickly unchain Amelia and help her to the shower. I wait for her to finish and she walks out in fresh cloths. I chain her legs to the wall and she sits on the mattress.

Amelia's POV
I sit down on the mattress and hug my knees to my chest. Where are they? Don't they care? Don't they know where I am? She sits down next to me. "I am so sorry Amelia." I nod. "It's fine. It's not your fault." She wraps an arm around me.

"They're coming for you. I can feel it." I nod. "How is Christian?" She sighs. "He's fine. He kissed me though." I smile. "That's good though. Right?" She smiles and nods. "Yes. Oh I was waiting for him to and then he just…kissed me. Oh I'm so happy Amelia. Maybe one day we could all leave here. Together. And be friends." I nod. "I need to go. I'll bring your dinner down later okay?" I nod and she leaves.

I listen as she shuts and locks the door. I lie back on the mattress. Another day. I've lost count. It's been over a month though. I hate it here. Dissonantia is the only person that comes down here except Luca. Christian came down once. To deliver my food the first night. After that, nothing.

I I run my fingers through my hair. I miss them. I miss Ashley's loving gaze and gentle kisses and Andy's loving arms and amazing smile. I hug myself and start singing Lost It All.

Singing helps ops me stay sane. I wait for Dissonantia to bring me my dinner and slowly drift to sleep.
