He Has A Heart Of Fire

The next morning, I was regretting telling Taz about my catchup with Andy.
"It was a date!!" she squealed excitedly.
I told her everything that I had happened, and she was convinced it was a date, but I was sure it wasn't. We'd only just started talking after all these years and suddenly we were on a date? No.
"A date, huh?" I heard Tobi's voice getting closer as he walked towards the kitchen from Taz's room. I hadn't realised he'd slept over.
"It wasn't a date, we went for coffee and then went to the fair, no biggie," I explained.
"Sounds like a date to me," Tobi said through a half smile, winking at Taz. Great, now they would be teasing me about it for days.
I knew it wasn't a date, and that was that.

We'd all planned for a sweatpants and video game day, so I wasn't surprised when Jason turned up at the door, already in his sweats and arms full of video games. He ran in to dump them all on the couch and then said a bit too quickly "Be right back!", and ran back out of the apartment.
When he returned, he had two Guitar Hero guitars strapped to his back, a Guitar Hero drumkit in his arms, and a Guitar Hero microphone dangling from somewhere. Today was going to be fun.
After many hours of playing League of Legends on our laptops, we began playing Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock. Taz was singing because I got shy, me and Jason had the two guitars, and Tobi was on the drums, we were all smashing 'Again' by Flyleaf.
Halfway through the song, my phone started buzzing. I quickly paused the game, which was met by three disappointed groans, and answered the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey Autumn, it's Andy!"
"Oh, hi Andy," I replied, suddenly begginning to blush while the others started making kissy faces at me.
"I know I only just saw you yesterday, but would you like to do something today?" What? He wanted to see me again the next day??
"Um, one second!" I turned towards the other three people in my apartment, covering the mic on the phone and whispered "Is it okay if I ask Andy to join us?"
They all replied with thumbs up.
"Hey," I started, "Me and the gang are having a video game day at my place, you're welcome to come and join us?"
"Sure!" I could hear the smile in his voice.
"Cool, I'll text you the address. But," I added," there's one rule. You have to wear sweatpants."
He chuckled, "Sure thing, I'll be there soon." And then we hung up.
My friends and brother looked at me expectantly. "He's coming over, so please behave!"
They all chorused, "Yes, Mom!"

We continued to play Guitar Hero, until a few songs later there was a knock at the door. I got tangled in my guitar strap while trying to race Taz to the door, meaning she got there first.
"Hi I'm Taz, you must be Autumn's--" I sped to the door.
"--Friend from school." I finished for her. "Hi." I smiled at Andy.
I hadn't realised someone could pull of sweatpants so well!
I ushered Andy into the living room and began to introduce him to my friends, "You've already met Taz, this is Jason, and my brother Tobi." The guys both got up and gave Andy a guy hug.
"You guys pick some songs and carry on, I'm going to make some drinks," I heard Taz call from the kitchen. "Autumn, you can take over from me, you're a great singer!"
Andy's eye's shot to mine. "You sing?"
"Only in the shower, really." I blushed and looked down.
In the end, they managed to convince me to sing. The first song I sang was 'Pour Some Sugar On Me' by Def Leppard, we were aiming for 100% but Andy occassionally missed some notes because he started to gawp at me while I was singing.

That was the only song I sang. After that, I sat out on the couch and started to paint my nails. I was starting to feel embarrassed about singing in front of everyone. Once my nails were done, I headed to my room to get some jeans on so I'd at least look presentable.
When I walked into the living room, everyone looked at me in horror as the realised I'd gotten my jeans on. "I'm just heading out to the store, I'll be back soon." and I headed out the door. A few seconds later, I heard my front door open and close, I turned around to see Andy stood there with jeans on.
"Mind if I come too?" he asked, looking hopeful.
"Sure," I replied, and then we both walked to my car while I fiddled with my hair the whole way. We got into my car and I looked over at Andy.
"Look," I started, "I'm not really going to the store, I just wanted to get out for a bit."
"I know, that's why I tagged along."
