He Has A Heart Of Fire

This Moment Forever

Shortly after we'd performed for Rob and Black Veil Brides, we made our way back to the Rob's meeting room. I couldn't stop grinning, everyone had loved my singing! Maybe I was good.
Rob had explained that he and Black Veil Brides were going to talk in private before we came in, so we waited in the small staff kitchen.
As I was sipping a very hot cup of tea, Andy and Rob came in to announce we were allowed back in the room.
Taz, Tobi, Jason and I made our way back into the room, sitting in our original seats.
"So," Rob started, itching his beard as he sat down. "We've all agreed that you four show great potential."
Jinxx spoke up. "We're going to find you a rhythm guitarist, and then we'll start to train you."
"What do you mean by 'train' us?" Jason asked.
"We'll work with you by instruments," Jinxx started. "Jake and I will be working with Taz and the new guitarist, CC will work with Tobi, Ashley will work with you, Jason, and Andy will be working with Autumn." The butterflies started again. They were starting to feel more like snakes. "We'll be teaching you techniques to use when you play, and helping you learn songs and how to write them."
"That will be starting by the end of the week, at least." Rob explained. "What we need to work on for now, is a name. Any ideas?"

After a while of brainstorming and putting together ideas, we finally picked one.
"Welcome to the music industry, This Moment Forever!" Rob beamed.
It was official. We were now a band, and we were called This Moment Forever. Wow.
Everybody started gathering their stuff together around 1pm, getting ready to leave.
"Hey," Andy piped up loudly. "Why don't our bands hang out today and get to know each other?"
Everyone agreed, so we started to leave together, Black Veil Brides in Andy's car, and This Moment Forever in my car.
The two cars pulled up outside Andy's apartment building. This was going to be a squeeze.

I walked in as Taz and Jason were admiring Andy's apartment. I stood awkwardly by the breakfast bar.
"Hey," I heard a voice from beside me. "I'm CC, we haven't met properly yet." CC grinned at me, holding his hand out. He seemed a lot like Jason. I reached out to shake his hand, but instead he pulled me in for a tight hug.
I laughed. "Nice to meet you."
"I noticed you get nervous a lot. Does that usually happen?"
"Yeah," I laughed shakily.
"You'll get over it eventually. Andy had trouble dealing with anxiety when he was new to all this, but over time he grew more confident."
"I can tell," I said as I watched Andy wrestle with Jake and Jinxx.
CC walked away to go get a beer out of the fridge. I played with my hair and just watched everyone for a while, staying by myself next to the breakfast bar. Andy noticed I was alone and walked over to me.
"You okay?" he asked, grinning and cheeks all red.
"Yeah, yeah," I mumbled.
"Want to come to the store with me?" I knew he was just trying to get me out for a bit. So many new people being around was sending my anxiety sky high.
"Sure," I smiled gratefully.
Andy announced that we were going to the store and we would be back soon.

We headed outside to his car, as Andy stopped and pulled out a packet of menthol cigarettes and a lighter.
"I don't smoke inside my baby," he chuckled. "You want one?" He reached the packet out towards me.
I've never smoked a cigarette in my life, but I reached out for one anyway.
Andy lit his and handed me the lighter. I put the cigarette in my mouth and tried to copy what he did. I kept burning my fingers, unable to light the cigarette.
"Here," Andy said. He took the lighter from me and stood closer, lighting the cigarette for me and then stepping back. I sucked in a breath and started coughing out the minty smoke.
"Have you ever smoked before?" Andy asked me, smiling.
"Nope," I answered.
"Why'd you take one then?" He leaned forwards to take the cigarette from my fingers, but I pulled it away from him.
"I've always wanted to try but I've been too scared," I blushed. "I like the smell."
Andy grinned, stepping closer to me again. "Try again," he told me softly. "But after you pull it in, breathe in again from here," he placed his hand on my stomach, "before blowing it out." He removed his hand. I could feel the tingling shape of it left on my stomach.
He watched me as I sucked on the cigarette again, holding it for a second, breathing in again, and blowing it out. Andy smiled and began blowing out smoke into 'O' shapes.
I laughed. "Can you do any other cool tricks?" I asked as I pulled in again.
He breathed out some smoke from his mouth, breathed it in through his nose, and then blew it out of his mouth again. I smiled.
"There's also this," he said gently. He took a long drag of his cigarette and stepped very close to me. He softly pulled my chin down with his thumb, opening my mouth. He leaned in as if he was going to kiss me. Our lips brushed as he blew the smoke into my mouth. I breathed it in and then again before he stepped back, and then I breathed it out.
"Oh." I said, stunned.

After our cigarettes, we got into Andy's car and drove to the store.
We picked up a few of boxes of beer, enough for the 9 of us.
"Anything else for the lady?" Andy asked me.
"Oh, I haven't brought any money," I looked down.
"It's on me," he smiled.
I picked some vodka and a couple bottles of Coke. We walked through the store, Andy insisting on carrying everything while I carried an empty basket. Occasionally Andy asked me to put something in the basket. Chips, dips, and some milk. He must have been running low on milk.
I spotted some red solo cups and suddenly burst out "We should play Beer Pong!!" Andy stopped and looked at me. "What?" I asked, confused.
He laughed. "I just didn't have you pegged as a Beer Pong girl!"
We bought the solo cups and ended up getting a cart to take everything back to the car.
Andy stopped for a cigarette. I took one again. I really liked the feeling they gave me.
"So," Andy started, looking at me as we both took a drag on our cigarettes. "About that phone call last night."
I looked at the ground, feeling my face burn as I blushed.
Andy spoke again when I didn't say anything. "What did you think?"
I was silent for a moment. "I was... really shocked."
"Oh," he sounded disappointed.
"No, no, not in a bad way! It was just so unexpected, I never expected you to like me."
"Well you better believe it!" he chuckled nervously.
"I thought it was really sweet," I smiled, taking his free hand in mine.
"So, do you..." he started.
"Yes, I like you too, Andy," I interupted as he smiled, his eyes lighting up.
"Actually, I was going to ask," he stopped for a minute, preparing himself. "Autumn, do you want to be my girlfriend?" He squeezed my hand.
I looked down at the floor, laughing lightly. "Yes."
