I Was So Bitter, Till You Came Along

I woke up alone, realizing it was Christmas and that Andy was probably downstairs. I stretched and yawned before standing up, and I headed downstairs. Andy was sitting on the couch on his phone, scrolling through Twitter. I rounded the couch and sat down next to him, and he looked over at me and grinned.

"Merry Christmas," I said softly, kissing his lips gently.

"Merry Christmas," he said, and he stood up. We were both drowned in the light of the Christmas tree; we didn't need the living room light on.

"Wanna get started?" He asked. I nodded, and he walked over to the fireplace, grabbing both of our stockings. He handed me mine, and I dug into it. It was mostly junk food and whatnot. I thanked him and set it off to the side.

There were only two gifts under the tree for the two of us. One from me, and one from him. The rest were for the guys. But Andy grabbed both gifts, and he handed me mine.

"Open yours first," He said, and I smiled as I took the bow off the small box in my hands. I unwrapped it and opened the box, finding a couple of necklaces and some earrings inside.

"Aww thank you so much," I gushed, looking up at him. He smiled and kissed me gently.

"I hope you like them all. I saw them and thought of you, so I had to get them," he said. I grinned.

"You're the best," I told him, "now open yours!" He did as I said and tore the paper off. His gift was about the same size as my own, so it didn't take very long for him to open it. He let out a small gasp at the sight of it. I'd gotten him a rosary and a new cross earring. He smiled wide.

"These are amazing, thank you babe," he said. I nodded.

"You're welcome," I said.

A few hours later, after we'd eaten breakfast, we were getting ready to head over to Ashley's place. All the gifts were in the car and I was just slipping my heels on when Andy called me. I hurried down the stairs, seeing that he was waiting for me in the doorway. I grabbed my bag and slung it over my shoulder, and I hurried out the door. Andy locked it behind us, and we made our way to the car.

When we got there, Ashley welcomed us in and helped us bring the presents in and put them under his tree. We met everyone in the kitchen as we waited for CC to show up, and when he did, Ashley put the ham in the oven that we were having for dinner.

"Does everyone want to do presents first before dinner or after dinner?" Ash asked. We all shrugged.

"We'll do it now then," Ash said, and we all followed him to the living room.

The evening passed in a blur and suddenly it was time for Andy and I to leave. We carried our stuff out to the car where everyone was standing and saying goodbye. We returned to the group with empty arms and I hugged them all goodbye. Ashley held me especially long.

"It was good to have you back for Christmas. Stick around next year," he said quietly. I smiled and pulled back to look at him.

"I will," I said softly. Ashley grinned and I stepped next to Andy, who wrapped an arm around my waist. We waved goodbye and headed to the car, getting in it.

Tonight was a ton of fun.
