Welcome To My Life

Is The Dragonfly Ready For The Tiger?

Andy had cracked his nine, ten, and elevens ribs and broke one of his ribs as well. He was ordered to bed rest for three weeks and would not be allowed to join Warped Tour until the second week in on the Pomona, California date. The guys would just do signings until he was able to perform and he couldn't help but realize that it was all his fault.

Sylvie had taken off work for the past few days, his mom had come from Cincinnati to help take care of him, and he was in constant pain anytime he moved.

Andy was trying harder than anything to get Sylvie to come on Warped Tour with him but she was reluctant. He'd never outright said it but he hinted at it everyday. He needed her to help through the grueling summer.

Pieces of bone had been cracked and we're now floating through his body and the only way to get them out was to pass them so it hurt to even go to the bathroom. Sylvie was there everyday to help him eat, drink, and even stand up. His mother was like her partner in crime and the two girls had seemed to have bonded incredibly well, a sight Andy was proud to see.

The pair were still just friends as of now and with Andy's injuries, likely to stay that way for a while. She needed to give him space in a time like this and with the annoying texts she kept getting from her sister expressing her concern, she didn't feel like she was ready to be the Andy Biersack's girlfriend.

The album had done incredibly well on its release. It had reached 17 on the Billboards Chart and Sylvie was incredibly proud of him. It only sucked that he couldn't celebrate.

"How're ya feeling today, tiger?" Sylvie chuckled, running her hand along his face. A dragonfly and a tiger; light and beautiful paired with strong and intimidating. Who knew they'd make the most beautiful couple?

His mom, Amy, hadn't come in yet so they were alone. Her hand squeezed his softly.

"Alright." He mumbled, looking into her eyes.

"You look a little better.." She smiled.

"Yeah." He swallowed, sitting up a bit. He winced. "Ah.."

"Let me help." She said, placing her hand on his back and pushing him lightly up. Sylvie wished he could go home to his bed but he was forced to stay in the hospital for the first few days.
Luckily, they were on their second.

"Thanks, babe." He said, leaning over and placing a warm kiss on her lips. She looked so cute in the fluorescent lighting that Andy felt himself tighten. He was quiet for a few moments as he just took her in, his hand reaching up to trace each individual feature across her face. "Sylv, I've got to talk to you."

"Okay-"

A knock shook them both from their thoughts and they looked up to see a beautiful girl standing there. Her hair was now blonde and she wore a pair of tight jeans and a white tee shirt.

Andy began to fume as he took in those features he used to love so much. He used to think she was the most beautiful girl in the world.

It was Scout Compton and Sylvie had no idea.

"What the fuck?" He said as she walked further into the room.

"Hey Andy.." She frowned, seeing how swollen his rib cage looked. The girl beside him had confusion written all over her face.

He closed his eyes at the sound of her voice. All of those nights they had spent making love flooding back to him. Sylvie reached up and placed a caring hand on his shoulder making his eyes fly open.

"Sylv, do you think I could have some time alone with Uhm, Scout?" He winced, having to say her name. He looked over at her to see a hurt expression that broke him to the core.

"Oh y-yeah.." She mumbled, trying a smile before standing up and walking out of the room.

As soon as she closed the door, she heard Andy start yelling. Not wanting to know the conversation, Sylvie walked down to the small cafe in the lobby of the hospital.

She ordered three coffees, one for herself and the others for Andy and Amy. She sat on the couches, sipping her's for a while but eventually dragged herself back up to the room. She stopped by the door to listen in quickly and sure enough Scout was still in there.

"Andy, no one is ever going to give you what I did.." She mumbled.

"I don't need you anymore, Scout. I'm really, really in love with her."

Sylvie's breath caught in her throat. What? He was? That's not possible! How did he love her when so many girls threw themselves at him?!

"Then why aren't you together?"

"She wants to wait." Andy's voice sounded tired and incredibly sad.

"Well, you wouldn't have to wait with me. We could be together anytime you wanted.." She trailed off and Sylvie felt her heart speed up.

"No. Stop, get off!" Andy exclaimed making Sylvie run into the room. Scout was basically on him, no doubt hurting the shit out of his ribs, and trying to kiss his perfect lips. "Sylv.." He trailed off, looking up at her. "It's not what it looks like. Please!"

"Oh, it's exactly what it looks like, sweetheart. Your little country girlfriend needs to learn when she is over stepping the line." Scout stood up and shoved her back, almost making the coffee spill.

She placed it down, calmly before pushing past Scout and walking towards Andy. She sat down in the chair beside his bed. "I'm not giving you the time of day, doll." Sylvie shook her head, glaring up at the girl.

"Fine. Keep your heart set on a girl who's probably a virgin. I'll be waiting." Scout growled, running out of the room.

The pair was silent for a good five minutes, just listening to the sound of the loud air conditioner. Andy's hand trailed over to take her's and he kissed her knuckles.

"How much did you hear?" He asked, knowing she had to have been standing outside.

"A lot." She swallowed, looking at her lap.

"Did you hear.." He couldn't say it but by the look in her eyes he knew she had.

"Yes, Andy. I did." She mumbled, trailing her thumb across his cheekbone. It pained her to think someone had just kissed his lips other than her.

"Of course you did.." He groaned, turning away from her. "That's not how I wanted you to find out."

"I guess I already kind of knew.." She bit the inside of her cheek, taking his chin in her hand and turning him back to her. She swallowed before pushing her lips to his, tasting a cherry lip gloss that certainly wasn't her's. Andy swooned into the kiss and basically melted against her.
He pulled back so he could look at her and became silent for a good twenty seconds.

"I am in love you." He whispered, pulling away. Her face contorted, nerves rising into her stomach. He laughed a little falling back on the bed. "I guess I always thought we'd just be friends and that it was a dream to want more. I flirted, it didn't feel like you returned it but I don't care anymore." He leaned up, ignoring the pain and took her face in his hands. "I am in love with you."

"Andy.."

"I don't care if you're nervous, or scared. All I know is that when I'm with you, I feel real. It feels like coming home and that I truly have found my other half."

Tears spilled down Sylvie's soft cheeks as she thought over the last time someone had said those words to her. Dustin and her had been together for three months when he said I love you and she had been so happy she cried. She was crying now for a different reason..

"You're my best friend, Sylvie. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.." He smiled, his eyes showing nothing but honesty.

"I just don't want to be hurt again.." She mumbled, feeling him pull her against her.

"I won't hurt you." He promised. "You're too much of a prize."

She let out a sob at this, burying her face in his chest. He winced a bit but held it back while he stroked her hair softly.

"Please, Sylvie." He whispered, feeling her shoulders rack with cries. "Just say it back. Be mine."

"You know I'm already yours, why do I have to say it?" She mumbled, finally looking up at him.

"Because I've craved to hear you say it the moment I met you.." Andy picked her chin up again and kissed the space between her eyes. "I love you, Sylvie Chester. And I know you love me."

For an agonizing minute, she stared into his eyes. He looked so sad but so in love with her that she felt her heart swell.

She covered her mouth with her hand and shook her head, tears now falling down her cheeks.
"I-I love you." She choked out. "But I'm so afraid."

"You don't need to be, Sylvie." He mumbled, cupping her cheek. "I will be here for you. I'll stay by your side until the end of time if you let me."

She nodded, wiping at her eyes. "Okay."

"Okay?" He smiled a mile wide. "You'll be mine. For real?!"

"Yes." She giggled at how happy he truly looked. "As long as you promise not to hurt me.."

"I promise." He said, taking her hand and placing it over top of his heart. He had momentarily forgotten about all of the pain and focused on how much he loved the girl in front of him. "I love you.." He baited.

"I love you, too." She whispered making his cheeks flush.

"I just wanted to hear you say it." He leaned in and pressed a firm kiss against Sylvie's mouth.
She melted against him but they both pulled back as they heard someone clear their throat.

Amy Biersack stood there, smirking at the couple. "Looks like someone is feeling a little better.."

Andy laughed as he looked up, keeping Sylvie pressed against him. "Mom, even though you've already met her, this is Sylvie. My girlfriend." He put emphasis on the word making Amy squeal, her blue eyes shining at the pair.

"Finally.." She groaned, ruffling her sons hair.

"Uh for the record I would have asked her out the night of our first date but she just wanted to be friends." Andy grinned as she stuck her tongue out at him.

"You're lucky you're hurt." She mumbled.

"Yeah, yeah.." He chuckled, leaning back against his pillows. Sylvie just took his hand and crossed her legs.

Her mind was still on the visit from the past he'd had only ten minutes ago. Scout was gorgeous- way prettier than she'd expected and absolutely more attractive than she. Sylvie knew how lucky she was with Andy and she was worried that the fact that so many girls wanted him would get in the way of their relationship.

Was this whole thing a massive mistake or the best decision of her life? Only time would tell.

Or would it?
