I sighed, fidgeting in Andy's grasp. "Keep still or I'll end up dropping you." He said, looking me in the eye. I sighed, and looked out at the sky. We had going for hours, and I could feel Andy lagging slightly at my weight. I sighed, and began to slip out of his grasp. "Fuck?!" He said, trying to keep me up. I left my feet land gently on the ground, and I looked up at him. "I'll walk." I said, limping ahead. He ran up slightly to catch up with me. "Sweetheart you are not walking with that leg."
"So what? Your literally dying under my weight, and anyway, I can walk it's not like i'm crippled."
"But if were going to meet more shadows you are going to be the first one they go for with that leg."
"Well then it'll make us one step closer to Alice." I said, and he grabbed my arm and spun me around.

"No. Alice has already been taken their not taking you to." He snapped, and I pulled my arm back, glaring at him. "Yeah well she's alone. They take me he's not alone anymore."
"I don't think they'll want you two there yet. They're playing a game. Every time they've come to us, they've taken someone else apart from you two. First time, they took Alice, the only thing you two would do anything for, the second time, the took Ella an Jinxx, the people we love the most. They have never gone for you. Not once. They want you two to get there on your own." Sammi said, making us both look at her.

"But-"
"No buts. Your both the least of their worries. I think this whole thing is more than skin deep. There's another reason for him doing this, not just the fact that Alice is half angel half human." She said, and I sighed, looking at Andy. He looked at me, his blue eyes filled with worry. "I hope she's ok." I said, sitting on the floor. Andy sat beside me, and wrapped his arms around me. "We'll get her. I promise." He said, kissing my cheek, and I sighed. "I know. I just want everything to go back to normal." I said, standing back up. Andy stood up too, and linked his fingers with mine. I sighed, looking at the other two. "How are you three holding up?" I asked, looking at Jake, Ashley and Sammi. Their faces were pale, sweating with the sun. Sammi and Jakes eyes were red and puffy from the worry of their loved ones being gone. Sammi sighed, and looked down at the floor. "I want Jinxx." She whispered.

I sighed, and pulled her, Ashley and Jake into a hug. "We'll get them back. I promise that no one gets hurt. No one, not ever." I said, and they pulled away, giving me a thankful look. I gave them a small smile, and looked out over the horizon. I could just see a small back shape about a days walk away. Where my daughter was. I sighed, and looked back at the others. There was a scream from the sky, and a shadow landed in front of us. I darted back, and Andy grabbed me before I fell. He stood there, looking at us. "I bring a message." He said, throwing desert sand into the air, and it floated about, making a screen. On the screen appeared an image of Alice, in the corner of a dark room, curled up in a ball. I gasped, and so did Andy, our eyes fixed on our daughter.

She looked towards us, tear stained cheeks and red eyes. "Mommy? Daddy?" She said, staring right at us. "She can see us..." I said, walking towards the image. "It's ok sweetie were on our way." I said, a lump in my throat. "Mommy I'm scared." She said, tears flowing down her face. "It's ok sweetie. Were coming to get you. This will all be over soon and we'll be going home." Andy said, standing beside me. She wiped her eyes and looked at us with her innocent eyes. "Promise?" She whispered, looking down into her lap. "We promise." I said, giving her a small smile. Suddenly the screen went black, and disappeared. "No! Bring her back!" I yelled, limping towards the shadow. Andy held me back, and the shadow laughed.

"Now...it's time for another prisoner." He said, lunging at Sammi. She screamed, and Jake jumped at her, pulling her out of the way. The shadow fell to the floor, and then got back up, grabbing Sammi's leg with one hand, and Jake's with the other. "No!" I screamed, trying to grab the shadow as he began to fly. "No Bunni don't. Well look after Alice until you get there!" Jake yelled as the shadow flew away with them. Tears fell down my cheeks, and I sunk to the floor. Andy sat beside me and hugged me as I cried.
"No more. No one else is getting taken or hurt. Not anymore." I said, anger raging through m veins. I felt my eyes burn and my fangs grow back out. I flew up, and punched the ground hard, making it crack. Andy and Ashley grabbed me from behind, and pulled me back, letting me fall into their arms, crying with the grief and pain of everything that had happened. No one else was going to get hurt, no one else was going to die, nothing else was going to happen. This was all going to end sooner rather than later.
