Don't Mess With Ouija Boards

[Raven's POV]

I woke up with someone shaking me and that was CC who looked scared, his face looked pale and fear of something was etched in his face. I ran a hand through my hair, as usual I had a night terror.

“You were screaming and –“ He continued to babble words quickly.

“CC I’m fine, I have night terrors all the time.” I reassured him and he sat on the end of the bed calming himself down.

He looked at me skeptically but sighed and went to walk out, I felt cramps hit me and ran to the bathroom to get a pad so I didn’t bleed everywhere. Only to see it was my last one and I couldn’t exactly walk to the store. So I walked into the kitchen to not only take my medicine but to ask CC for something.

“CC?” I sighed.

“Hmm?” He asked through a mouthful of food.

“I um, I’m on my period and Ever isn’t here, and I REALLY need you to get me some pads.” I bit my lip and looked at him hopeful that he wouldn’t get grossed out.

He had to have done this for a girlfriend or something before.“Yeah, no problem.”

He said nervously, “Text me what kind and I’ll grab them.”

He added and went to go get his keys. I sighed doing what he told me to and rifling through my bag for my pain meds. That’s when I saw a note that said I was going on tour with them in two days. Thankfully my period is gone in two more days because I get the luckiness of having short periods. Before CC came back I heard Ever walk into my room as I was reading.

“Uh hey, is CC back?” I asked anxiously.

"I haven't seen him, everything okay?"

"He went on a pad run for me, I hoping he'd be back by now."

"Maybe he's stuck in traffic. He won't let you down, for anything. He's one of the best people you could ever know. Did you get the note from your uncle?"

"Yes! I'd be more excited if my uterus wasn't exploding right now."

"Up for a shopping trip for new tour clothes tomorrow?"

"I don't have any money."

"It'll be my treat. We'll need to hit a book store before we go too. I'm out of books, and by the looks of that book, you'll probably want some too."

"That sounds like fun!"

"Cool. I'll let you keep reading. Let me know if you need anything."

[CC's POV]

This is embarrassing. I got what she asked for. What else would she like?

I grabbed my phone, "Ev, what cheers you up from pms?"

"I usually like sea salted chocolate and things that make me comfy, and chick flicks."

"Cool. I'll be back in ten."

I hung up and grabbed some more stuff and hurried through the checkout and home. I ran
into Raven's room and jumped onto her bed.

"Here's your lady stuff, and this is for you." I handed her a big bag.

She looked puzzled and started to open it. She pulled out a big cozy blanket, a bunch of chocolate, The Notebook DVD, and a stuffed pug.

"Thank you so much CC! Want to watch it with me in a bit?" She asked.

"Sure, I'll go grab us some drinks. Tea okay?"

"Yep!"

[Everly's POV]

"Hey CC, find what you were looking for?"

"Yeah. I just wanted to give her a reason to smile." He said sheepishly.

"You make everyone smile CC. It's who you are. She'll love you like the rest of us do." I said hugging him.

"I hope so." He grabbed two glasses of tea and left the kitchen.

I shook my head and started dinner.

"Honey, we're home!" Jinxx yelled from the foyer.

"Were were you four?" I asked as he came into the kitchen with Andy.

"I went shopping for some stuff."

"Ok. I just hadn't heard from anyone all day."

"Sorry babe. Ray's eighteenth birthday is in the middle of tour. I figured we'd celebrate a little
early. You'll approve of what I got. I ran into Andy at one of the shops. Ash and Jake pulled in behind me a minute ago."

"CC stayed with Ray when I went to get dinner stuff. They're hanging out in her room right now."

He leaned down and kissed my cheek. "The spaghetti smells amazing. Andy and I are going to decorate the dining room really quickly."

Jake came running in. "Ev, where did you put the tape and scissors?"

"Ask Andy where he hid them from CC." I said stirring the sauce.

[Jinxx's POV]

Andy had all the decorations across the table so we could get started. Ash had balloons all over the place. Jake came running by tossing us a roll of tape before going to wrap Raven's presents. We want to make this one of the best birthdays she's had.

"Dude, you think we need to put up more streamers?" Andy asked.

"Cover the room in this stuff! Where's the confetti?" I asked.

"Here!" Ash called, throwing a handfull at me across the table.

"I think I found some more!" Andy laughed throwing more from this pockets.

"Andy, your sister is going to shoot you two for making this big of a mess in here... We're blaming Jake." I said with a dead serious tone.

We kept laughing while finishing. Jake brought in the pressents and hid them in the empty bottom of the china cabinet.

"Dinner's done everyone! Come eat!" Ev yelled from the kitchen.

We all jumped in line to get our food first, that way Raven wouldn't see everything before we got in there. I heard loud footsteps coming down the hall.

"Forward my noble steed!" Raven called.

CC came running into the room with her on his back.

"Yay, my favorite!" Raven exclaimed hopping down.

We all got our plates and went into the dining room and waited. Soon enough, Ray came around the corner.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAVEN!" We all shouted.

She nearly dropped her plate of food. Andy was quick and took it from her and wrapped the now crying Raven in his arms.

[Andy's POV]

"Raven, are you okay?"

"Yeah, it's jus- just... No one has remembered it in years."

I hugged her tighter. "None of us will ever forget. Now come eat with your family. When you're done, you can have your gifts, and I'll take you for ice cream if you want."

"Thank you all so much. This is awesome." She said wiping away tears.

We talked about tour as we ate. Mostly laughing about CC's pranks and at the fact that Ash can't bring chicks on the bus anymore.

"Time to open gifts!" Jake yelled once we all finished and the table was cleared.

"Here, this one is from me." I handed her a smallish box.

She pulled the paper off and got a little teary at her new necklace.

"I love it Andy!"

"The black wings suited you." I told her as she put it on.

"Here, mine next." Ash carrieda big box over to her.

She opened it and stood in awe.

"Your black glitter bass? I don't play, and it's too much."

"I'm giving you lessons while we're on tour, and you're going to need something to learn on. Besides, if we can have two drummers, and two guitarists, we might as well have two bassists."

"Other than CC, who plays drums?" She questioned.

"Did they not tell you who my drum tech is Ray?" CC asked.

"No. It can't be any of you guys, Aunt Everly?! Holy fuck, that is cool!"

"Language Ray." Jinxx scolded and she stuck her tongue out at him.

"Here's the one from me." Jake handed her a flat rectangular box.

She shredded the paper. "Jake, no way! How did you know I've been needing a new laptop? This is nuts!"

"Here Ray!" CC threw his to her.

She looked at her gift wide eyed and squeeled. She left the room for a minute. She came back in pug pajamas that matched CC's.

"You'll get the other part on your birthday." He told her.

"Last, but not least, here is the one from your aunt and me. I hope you like it." Jinxx passed her a huge box.

She tore the paper off and opened it up. Inside was a bunch of tissiue paper, then a smaller box. Then more paper, and a smaller box. This was getting funny. She opened the smallest box.

"A new phone? This is amazing!"

"We all put our numbers in it already. We'll get you a case you like for it tomorrow when we're shopping." Ever told her.

"Thank you all so much. This really has been the best birthday I've had. I love everything you've gotten me, but the best part is you all. My actual family. I love you guys!" She said with watery eyes.

"I almost forgot one." Everly said running to the other room. "Here you go."

Raven opened the envelope and started dancing around the room a bit. Her tour laminates
waving like a flag.

"Ray, I know the meds are making you feel pretty good, but trust me, you need to take it easy." I told her.

"Okay." She pouted and sat down next to me.

"Are you getting ice cream like that?" I asked.

"Hell yes, I am!"

"Ray, language." Jinxx scolded again, earning an eye roll.

"Then let me change and we can leave." I went to my room and came back out in my Batman onesie.

"To hell with Robin, I have a Raven! Let's go!" I laughed as we left.

[Raven's POV]

I laughed and got a piggy back ride from Andy as we went to get Ice cream and got stares from people as a girl in a pug onesie and a guy in a batman suit walked down the sidewalk with the rest of the band. I eventually jumped onto Ashley earning a look from Jinxx when I nuzzled my face into his hair. It smelled like strawberries and I sighed relaxing as the meds started to wear off a little bit.

“Ash your hair smells fucking AMAZING” I sighed and we ran into some fans who gave us a couple odd looks.

“Are you and Ashley dating?” The younger of the two girls asked and I shook my head.

“I’m Jinxx’s niece but I broke a couple ribs so I don’t feel like walking.” I shrugged.

They seemed skeptical of my answer and I rolled my eyes, ignoring the glare coming from her friend who obviously was jealous that I was clinging to Ash like a koala. We got the ice cream and had to go home after because Jinxx forgot my pills at the house.

“Jinnnnnnxxxx I want to go out and do something.” I groaned while laying on my bed.

“You have broken ribs you can’t exactly go out and party.” He rolled his eyes and looked at me.

“I have before.” I mumbled and took the pills as he handed me a glass of water.

“Get some sleep you need to go clothes shopping with Ever tomorrow. Love you kiddo.” He chuckled and kissed my forehead when I curled up in my bed.

“Night. Love you too.” I yawned and smiled as Crow curled up with me.

“Hey boy why aren’t you with Andy?” I cooed at him and he rubbed his face against mine making me laugh and I saw a flash but not who took it.

“Andyyyyy did you put Crow up to this.” I mocked hurt as I pulled the cat to my chest and he got one of my fingers in his mouth. I laughed as the small tuxedo cat his own little spot in my bed curled into me.

"Looks like I've lost him for the night. Good night you two." He laughed walking back to his room.

I cuddled with Crow until my meds kicked in and I fell asleep.
