Don't Mess With Ouija Boards

[Raven POV]

I sat in the bathroom trying to apply foundation to my entre body because I was not changing out of my tank top. I saw Ever come in and her attention went to the broken mirror in front of me.

“Just ignore the mirror, could you help me cover my hips.” I moved up my tank top and couldn’t meet her eyes when she saw the dark purple handprints on my waist.

"What happened, if you don’t mind me asking?” She asked quietly

“My boyfriend, he- um. He was the guy that called earlier, he left before you guys got here and being gentile isn’t his forte. But I love him.” I noticed her face flood with concern when I said that.

"Ray, if he does this to you, it's not love baby girl. There is no reason for a man to lay his hands on a woman like this. When we get to LA, please leave this life here. Your uncle, me, and all the bandmates will be there for you. No matter what. We love you."

She had tears spilling down her cheeks.Ten minutes or so went by and soon you couldn’t tell the bruises were there. I went through the day in a daze because I was leaving with Jeremy and Ever to wherever they lived. On the plane I popped a Xanax hoping no one noticed me do that I didn’t need anyone knowing about my dirty little secret. Once the plane landed I followed Jeremy and Ever to a group of people they were friends with. My eyes went wide and as they noticed me not saying anything everything went black.

[Jinxx's POV]

"Raven? Ray?!" I watched in horror as my niece hit the terminal floor.

"Fuck! Andy, call security! We need to get her to the hospital!" Ever shouted.

"Ray, sweetie, I need you to wake up. The paramedics are almost here. We're going to take you to get checked out baby girl. Your huge new family is here for you. We're going to make sure you're okay." Ever said sweeping Raven's bangs out of her eyes.

"Jake, can you help me shift her off of her backpack and get her flat?" I asked.

"I'll go grab your bags and get them loaded. I'll meet you at the hospital." Ashley volunteered.

"What do I need to do?" CC asked.

"Keep an eye out for security and the paramedics." I said.

My sense of time seemed to warp. Ever go in the ambulance with Raven and I rode with the guys.

"I haven't been a parent a full day and the kid is going to the hospital."

Andy looked at me from the front seat, "I doubt this is your fault man."

"I agree man. Fill us in on everything that's happened." Jake said.

I told the guys everything as we rode to the hospital, someone would fill Ashley in I'm sure.

[Everly's POV]

We reached the hospital and Raven was rushed to be examined. I told the nurses about her being beaten by her biological father and boyfriend. They were going to run X-rays and tests until they could find nothing wrong.

Jinxx, Andy, Jake, and CC came running into the waiting room with Ash not far behind.

"What's going on babe?" Jinxx blurted out.

"I told the doctors everything she told me. Your brother wasn't the only one abusing Ray. That Trevor kid was too. They're going to do x-rays and run a bunch of tests. Our girl has been through hell." I started crying again.

We sat in silence for hours. I leaned on Andy when Jinxx would start pacing again.

"I forgot to tell you guys, she's a huge Fallling In Reverse fan, and just started listening to you all. She had Set The World On Fire playing while I helped her pack. I hope her putting the pieces together helps brighten things up a bit."

"I'm glad I put like four of our posters up in her room then." CC laughed.

A doctor walked in, "Raven Ferguson's family?"

We all stood up.

"We're her guardians." Jinxx and I stepped forward.

"She has two broken ribs and had some glass in her hand, but other than that she's okay. You can go see her now. The nurse will show you the way."

"Thank you so much!" I exclaimed.

We went down the hall to her room. When we opened the door she was laying on her back with her torso and hand bandaged. The bruises seemed so much worse against the pale sheets. Jinxx and I were at her side. Andy and the guys stayed closer to her feet.

"Her doctor said she'd be out for another hour or so." Jinxx told them through the tears.

We all pulled chairs up or sat where we found room, and waited.

"She'll be okay Jinxx, she sounds like a tough kid."

"I know Jake, but she shouldn't have had to have gone through all this. She's just a kid! From now on, we all guard her with all we've got. I don't want her to hurt ever again."

Ash looked to me, then to Jinxx. "Raven is family, nothing will hurt our Girl."

"Um, guys.." Andy motioned to Raven, who's eyes were fluttering open.

Raven POV

White light blinded me as consciousness greeted me like a slap. I groaned and reached to my thigh for my phone. My eyes snapped open to see Andy Biersack staring at me; my mouth resembled a fish’s with me trying to form words. My neck craned to the left to see Jeremy and everything clicked, Jeremy Miles Ferguson. Jinxx from BVB was my uncle, I hit my forehead wincing because my hand had stiches and they screamed at me not to move my right hand.

“When did you plan on telling me you are Jinxx? I might not have collapsed-“ I got cut off by laughter making my cheeks burn red

“Jinxx she looks EXACTLY like you when she’s pissed.” CC pointed out

I groaned and flopped down on the bed I laid in and glared at Jinxx who smiled a little sheepishly. I stretched forgetting about the bruises on my stomach and hips the gown slipped up so everyone accidentally saw them. I only noticed when I looked back up and Ashley’s face lost the smile that was there a few moments ago. I mindlessly ruffled the back of my hair a nervous tick I could never shake. The amount of anxiety in my body was building by the second because Ever didn’t know I had been suicidal and planned to keep it that way. I would never admit how close I came to ending everything and then No Sympathy For The Dead came on, I took a shaky breath feeling a hand on my back I looked up to see Jinxx. I smiled at him glad my arms were bandaged up because there was glass in them from the mirror, none of them needed to see the scars.

“What are you thinking about” Andy’s voice asked from at the end of the bed making me jump

“How insane this entire thing actually is, I’ve also never been to a hospital except for when I was born. So this entire thing is weird I usually g-. Usually um…” I bit my lip thinking of some lie or way to word it so they didn’t find out about my drug habits

The silence was deafening and I could feel the skeptical look from Ever boring into my head. I scratched at the bandages wrapped around my arms, the ace bandages made my cuts itchy. I took a deep breath not liking to lie to the band that got me through a lot.

“I usually just sat in my room wrapping up the injuries or doing my best to stop the bleeding.” My voice was hoarse as I got the words out of my mouth

My eyes were cast down to my lap I couldn’t look at them in the eyes, why was I such a horrid liar right now. I’m usually so much better, my heart stopped in my chest when I saw the look Ashley have me. His lips were in a line to stop from grimacing, his jaw clenched and his eyes held sympathy. Something I couldn’t wrap my head around, I wanted to reassure him I was fine because he was usually so happy in videos I saw of him. Right now he just looked worried, I let my bangs fall in front of my face glad for once they were long.

The car ride from the hospital was long, to the point I fell asleep. I am a light sleeper and later noticed I was cuddled into something warm, the only person that could be was Ashley because on the other side of me was the door. They were playing Falling In Reverse’s new album and I felt all of the tension leave my body at the sound of Ronnie’s voice. There was something about the cocky singer that made all worries drain from me as he sang, I know it sounds insane but that’s how it is. The car stopped and someone cut the engine.

“Ash she’s like dead asleep would you mind carrying her in, I don’t want to wake her.” Jinxx’s voice came from the drivers seat.
