Dakota’s Pov
As Sam went to go help Jade they all looked at me for answers. I wouldn’t tell them the full story theres just no way. I don’t think they’d like to have us around when we have such a horrific, complicated, and terrible past. “It’s a touchy subject for her. A very touchy subject.
I looked to make sure Jade wasn’t anywhere with hearing range. “Long story short her father did something to her mother that landed him in prision for life. So did my dad. Sam’s mom died of cancer and it caused her dad to spiral out of control. I know you want details but I can’t.”
Jinxx looked at me confused as all h*ll. “Why can’t yo-“
I sighed cutting him off. “I know you want answers and a full explanation but will just accept what I’m going to tell you?" They nodded. “Our lives been utter h*ll until you adopted us. All we had was each other to keep us from giving up. We had to count on each other. I know if they weren’t my friends I wouldn’t be here. Our past has been horrific so please just drop it for now. We’ll tell you on our own time.” They didn’t say anything but just nodded and Ashley got up to check on Jade but I pushed him down. “I’ll go check on her.”
When I got to the door of the bathroom I could hear muffled crying. I went in and locked it. Sam was hugging Jade.
“He d-deserves death row Sam.” I took this chance to grab the blade from her hands and put it on top of the mirror for now. It was good too because I was taller than her by a few inches.
I got on my knees and wiped away Jade’s tears. “No more cutting okay?” She nodded and when she was cleaned up and calmed down went back out.
Jade went to sleep on the couch and we continued the game. Ashley looked at me and I think I just about melted. After all I have a MASSIVE crush on him. He’d never go for a girl like me though there’s no way. I have a one in a million chance at that.

Sam’s Pov
F*ck! I woke up and immediately I knew today was going to be one of those days. I have a massive headache and I’m hating the world right now. I hope to god no one sets me off today. One little thing could set me off.
I grabbed my laptop and checked Email. I have three messages from an email address I don't recognize. That’s strange. I clicked on it and the name made me want to scream in anger. Kyle my ex. He put me through h*ll!
I immediately deleted it and went to check the next one. My brother. Dallas Winston. I started reading it.

Sam,
Look you know I’m not good at this cr*p si I'm just gonna cut to the chase. I need you Sam please come back to NY. Dad won’t talk to me and since mom’s dead your the only family I have left right now. Please talk to me. I need you right now.
Kyle wants you back. He’s changed Sammy I know he has. He had a girlfriend and not one bruise or anything. He’s changed Sam. He told me his life has been h*ll since you left him. He realized his mistake and whats to make it right with you again. Please just give us both a chance. I know you hate me because I went off on Dakota but I’m sorry, I really am. Tell her that please. I don’t know where you are right now but at least answer me.
I know I don’t say it as much as I should but I really do love you. Your my world and I would die if you left me. Please? We’re family and your the only family I have left. And besides family is supposed to stick together right? Please just give Kyle and I a chance.
