Finding Grace

I clutched Andys hand nervously as the Warped interviewer laughed with him, he looking completely at ease while I was a bundle of nerves.
We were gonna announce it today, the expectation of our baby, which I don't think was going to surprise the interviewer that much considering her eyes kept darting to my growing stomach every few seconds; I was one of those people who got a bump quickly it seemed.
"So, Andy, Leah, you guys said you were wanting to make an announcement today to all the Warped fans!" the interviewer said (I couldn't remember her name to save my life), and we nodded.
"Well," Andy took the lead, and I was so grateful, "we decided it's probably best to let all of you guys know beforehand, so you can celebrate with us. Leah and I," his hand abruptly tightened on mine, and I squeezed in support, "are... Gonna have a baby!"
"A baby?" the interviewer played surprised well. "What? Congratulations! You guys must be so excited!"
"You could say that," he agreed, and I pinched him. "We're both really thrilled."
Much better.
"My goodness! How far are you, Leah?"
The mic was thrusted in my face, and I held back my grimace.
"Just a couple months," I told her. "It was a ... Surprise."
"I bet," she chuckled. "When are you due?"
"January."
"Nice! Maybe you'll have it on your birthday!"
God I hope not.
"So, Andy, are you wanting a boy or girl?"
"It doesn't matter," he shrugged. "Either one is fine with me. Our bands have already taken bets though."
"Mine says girl except for Vale," I sighed.
"And BVB?"
"They voted boy except for Jinxx."
"Sounds exciting! Everyone seems to want a boy! Wait --- is Escape From Grace gonna be able to complete Warped?" she suddenly asked, and I nodded.
"Yeah, totally. It'll end before I turn into a whale."
"Leah," Andy bumped me, but he looked amused.
The interviewer laughed. "You're so little! I doubt it. Do you have a sex preference?"
She had totally known I was pregnant; these questions were too ready.
Honestly, I think all the artists who performed at Warped knew I was; not only was it now obvious, but I'd had morning sickness and temper tantrums enough where there wasn't any doubts beforehand, or at least that's what Kellin had told me.
"Nope. As long as it's healthy, I don't care," I shook my head, rubbing my back absently.
"You guys are gonna be great parents!" the interviewer gushed, looking sooo excited for us. "What are you gonna do after Warped? I don't believe you guys live together."
"Uh, Leah'll be moving in with me," Andys smile was forced. "Not like she didn't practically live there already."
That was true.
I chuckled, leaning against him, the hot sun baking my skin. He rubbed slow circles along my back, which really helped the aching.
"Have you discussed baby names?"
"A few, but nothing we've liked." he shrugged.
"He means none I've liked," I added with a smile. "He wants to name it like Gertrude or Harold."
"Hey!" he laughed. "They're not bad names!"
I rolled my eyes.
"It's awful."
She giggled. "You could always name it Trish after me!"
I'd rather poke my eyes out.
"Or Ashley."
Ashley stepped over to us, and the guy recording took a step back to get all of us in the frame.
He grinned at Trish, who blushed.
Yeah, flirt with him, not the one who has a hormonal pregnant girlfriend. I thought.
"Are your families excited?"
"My parents are ready for grandkids," Andy nodded. "My mom cried; she hopes its a girl."
"Leah?"
"My brother told me he was going to give it a Mohawk, so I'm not sure if that counts or not," I sighed, shaking my head; he'd waited like four days before he'd ever called me back and I'd been able to break the news.
He'd been kind of disappointed because I was so young, but he'd also been happy for me.
"Ashley, which would you like?"
"Twins! Boy and a girl!"
Andy and I stared at him, both of our faces horrified at the thought of two.
I don't know how we would handle one!
"Don't look so freaked guys," he grinned at us. "You'd get the best of both worlds!"
No.
Just no.
"So one is obviously enough for you guys," Trish laughed at us and we both nodded.
"Just one," I agreed. "I couldn't deal with another. I have Andy to look after, so it's already like having another kid around."
He gave a cheeky grin.
"You know you guys just broke the hearts of so many fans with this announcement," Trish told us. "You two will be off the grid for a little while, won't you? And what about BVBs January European tour? Will it be postponed until after the birth of your baby?"
I looked up at him curiously; yes, would it?
Because I'd be damned if I gave birth by myself.
"Ah, that's something to still be discussed, it's a long way off." Andy shifted; he'd probably not even thought about it.
The interviewer chatted a little longer, bantered with Ashley, and then it concluded.
Which was great because I think I was getting a sunburn.
I sighed, Andys arm slung around my shoulder as we walked to his bus.
The interview had been live streamed, so I knew twitter was about to be blowing up.
"If it's a boy, let's name it Christopher," Andy said after a moment, and I glanced up at him.
"After your dad?"
"Yeah."
"Christopher Andrew Biersack," I mused, stepping onto the bus. "I like it."
"Andrew?"
"It has to have your name in it!" I told him, kicking off my Vans and laying down across the couch. He nudged my legs out of the way, plopping down.
"What about a girl?"
"I dunno," I sighed, stretching my arms. "Maybe it'll just be a boy and we won't have to worry about it."
Andy chuckled, laying his hand gently on my stomach.
"Maybe." he said.
