Our Family

"Hey little Biersack!" My uncle Danny says walking into the living room.

"Hey uncle Danny!" I say and give him a hug.

"My stomach kind of hurts so I think I'm gonna go to bed early."

"Okay, feel better sweetheart." He says and kisses my forehead.

I walk past my dad in the hall. "Are you okay Lily?" He asks.

"I'm fine." I say before running up to my room.

I grab a piece of paper from my desk and a blue sharpie. I can't stay here, my mind can't get off of what's happened today. I'm not sure whether my dad wants me or my body, and my head keeps saying he's an asshole while my heart knows he's not. I write him a quick note.



*Dad,

I'm sorry to run off like this, but I need to escape. My head is making me paranoid and I need to get out of the house. I'll probably be with Jack or Austin, whoever answers first. And don't worry, I have my phone on.

I put the note on my pillow and grab my phone. I open the window and skillfully escape the house. I text Jack first.

Lily: Hey, you busy?
Jack: Not at all, I thought you were grounded.
Lily: I am, I just need to escape. Can you meet me somewhere?
Jack: Yeah of course. Meet me at the park.


I put my phone into my Batman pyjama pocket and speed walk to the park. Sure I look stupid walking around in my pyjamas, but who cares. I finally get to the park and I don't see Jack so I take a seat on the bench. There's a cool breeze that's making my arms form goosebumps, and the skies are dark and cloudy. I'm really hoping it doesn't rain. And just as I hope not for that to happen, it happens. Fuck my life!

"Lils, take my jacket." Jack says running up to me, handing me his leather jacket.

"No, I'm not letting you get sick, it's your jacket." I say.

"Then let's share it." He says. I get up and he pulls me into his embrace, covering me with the jacket, and his tall slim body keeping me warm.

"Thank you." I say.

"Anything for you Babe." He leans down and kisses me. It's different than when my dad does, I somewhat crave my dad's kisses more. "So where are we going?"

"Anywhere, I just needed away from my dad."

"Let's go back to my house."

"Are you sure your parents won't mind?"

"The folks will be out tonight, no worries."

We walk back to his house and he gives me an Asking Alexandria Tshirt and a pair of shorts to change into. I quickly change in the bathroom and walk back in to see him only in his boxers, making me blush.

"Hey, come sit down, tell me what's wrong." He says. I sit next to him on the bed and look down at my hands on my lap. I can't tell him the truth, so it's time to make up a lie.

"My dad is being really strict seeing my mom's in the UK so he has all the parenting power over me. He hates that I'm dating you, he likes you don't get me wrong, but he hates the fact that I'm not his little girl anymore." I say. He tilts my head to meet his gaze.

"He's your dad, you're his whole world. You must understand that if anything were to happen to you, he'd be the first one to put his fists up. He loves you Lils, maybe he's smothering you a little, but just be glad he cares."

"You always know just what to say." I kiss him and he pulls back. "What?"

"Lily, you need to go home."

"Why? I thought we were having a great time."

"We are, just you need to go before your dad finds out you're in your boyfriend's bedroom, especially since I only have boxers on."

"Well who's fault is it that you're only wearing boxers?"

"True." He kisses me. Kissing turns to making out, and making out seems to want to develop. He begins to pull the shirt off of me, but I stop him.

"Not tonight." I say and he nods in understanding.

"Whenever you're ready, I'll be there." He says making me smile.

I'm glad I'm with Jack right now, he knows not to say 'I'm guessing you're not ready for that stuff just yet. It's fine, we don't have to today.' Reason why I feel like my dad only wants my body.

"What do you wanna do?" Jack asks.

"Can we just cuddle and watch a movie?" I ask and he nods.

"You wanna watch the whole Saw trilogy?"

"You took the words right out of my mouth."
