Our Family

"Lily I can't ever let you go back to that house alone." My mother utters, choking on her sobs from what I've told her.

"I don't ever want to go back." I exclaim.

"Why didn't you call me before and tell me what was going on?" She asks stroking back my hair.

"I was scared of what dad would do to me if he found out." I plea as I begin to release tears again.

"Well you don't ever have to be afraid of him again, by the end of this summer he will no longer have the privilege to see you."

"I love you mommy."

"I love you too babygirl."


After a night of sobbing, pizza, and chick flicks, my mom decides to go to bed. I'm still flipping through channels sitting on my couch. How am I gonna tell everyone that I'm moving to Miami? I'll have to start senior year at a new school, make new friends, I have to restart.

Things are gonna change, a lot.




Juliet's POV

I can't believe Andy! How can he treat our babygirl like that? How can he let the little whore treat my baby so poorly? What the fuck has gotten into him? I can't sleep until I get some answers. I dial his number and wait for answers.




Andy's POV

Lily's finally gone, thank God! Her mother can take care of her now. She's become such a handful lately, I don't understand. Scout's been trying to bond with her, but Lily just pushes her away and calls her shit. I don't know what happened to the little girl I raised, but she's not her anymore. I don't know what I'm gonna do.


I get out of bed for a drink of water and my phone goes off. Why the fuck is Juliet calling me at 2am?

"What's up Jules? It's 2 in the morning." I ask.

"How dare you hurt my little girl!" She yells.

"I never hurt her Jules, I don't know what you're talking about." Okay so I squeeze her wrists a little too hard, it couldn't have hurt too much.

"She has bruises on her arms, wrists, and stomach. And she hid a pretty good shiner, so start talking Biersack!"

"I didn't hurt her Jules!"

"I know, Scout did! When Lily was in LA, she was your responsibility, my baby took a beating from your new whore, so I don't think you should ever be able to she Lily again."

"What are you saying?"

"I'm going to my lawyer and asking him how I can keep my daughter safe from you."

"Our daughter!"

"Not according to the DNA tests, goodbye Andrew." And with that she hung up.

Lily's not my daughter.


I can't believe this.





Noon. (Lily's POV)

"Lily I'm gonna be out for a few hours. If you need me there's numbers for you to call on the fridge and if you want out of the house lock up with the key on the counter." Mom shouts from the hallway.

"Okay." I reply and hear the front door close and lock.


I pull myself out of bed and crawl to the bathroom. When I get out of the shower I take a close look in the mirror. My second black eye, didn't really think I'd get another. But thanks to Scout, I'm blessed with this eye sour. I put my hair in a high ponytail and do my makeup. Covering up this one is the right thing, I don't want the press to swarm me, I just wanna get past this. I get dressed and get myself a bowl of apple cinnamon Cheerios.


The doorbell rings and I open the door.
"Hello." I say leaning on my door.

"Hey I live next door and my shower doesn't seem to work at the moment, and you're new." He says brining a smile to my face. Funny, he's hot as fuck and adorable.

"Yeah this is my mom's place, I'm moving in with her." I mention.

"Welcome to the neighbourhood, my name's Logan, and you are gorgeous."

"Haha funny, so you need to use the shower?" He nods and I let him in.

"I don't get girls like you." He closes the door of the bathroom.

"Girls like me?" I ask through the door.

"Girls like you who can't take a compliment."

"Sorry I'm not perfect."

"Um the shower won't turn on, can you?"

"Yep." I walk into the bathroom and blush when I see only a towel around his waist. I jiggle the handle of the shower and it turns on. "There you go." He drops the towel.

"Thanks... I'm sorry I didn't get your name."

"Lila."

"Beautiful name for a beautiful girl, thanks Lila."


I leave the bathroom and I can't stop smiling to myself.
