Our Family

Andy's POV


It's been five days and Lily still hasn't woken up. I haven't left this hospital for five days, haven't showered, changed, I've just been waiting for my babygirl to wake up. Juliet's at the house packing up her stuff, she said she'd be here in an hour to visit Lily but I don't really care. The guys visited a couple of times too. CC started bawling his eyes out when he saw her.

I just want her to wake up and be here with me. I missed seeing her pouty face and hearing her laugh and seeing her try to dance, emphasis on try.

"Lily please wake up, you're my everything, I don't want to lose my batgirl." I say and watch as her eye lids move a little. I hold her hand, and she squeezes mine.

"Daddy." She whispers.

"Yes babygirl, I'm here." Her eyes are still shut, is she dreaming?

"I want you to stay here." She says. "No! Please stay! Don't leave me again!"

"Nurse! Doctor! Someone!" I yell.

The doctor runs in. "Mr Biersack don't say anything just yet." He says.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"Your daughter is hearing what's going on around her, it's a tell-tale that she's going to wake up soon. If you don't guide her correctly, she might not wake up."

"So what am I supposed to do?" I ask.

"Please don't leave me!" She screams.

"Talk to her." Doc says.

"Don't go!" She yells.

"I'm not going anywhere babygirl." I say calmly.

"Daddy please." She whimpers.

"I'm not going anywhere for a long time, so long that you'll wish you could get rid of me. I'm not leaving you Lily, I promise." I say and her eyes flutter open.

"Dad?"

"I'm here babygirl." I scoop her up in a hug.






On the way home.
(Lily's POV)


"Look, I know things in our family have been very stressful on you and so, for now you don't have to go to school. Well at least till you feel balanced again." Dad says. I simply look up and stare into his eyes.

"Your mom's staying a little longer, she wants to make sure you're doing well and happy." He says. I turn my head and stare out through the window.

How has he been able to act so normal? Personally, all I can think about are the weeks my mom was out of the country. I miss those weeks with my dad. How can he still act so fathery after those weeks?

"Lily, are you okay?" He asks and I give him a nod. I'm not okay, I don't think I'll ever be okay.




Home.

I ran upstairs to my room. I can't look at my parents. The guilt I have about splitting my parents up, ugh I can't deal. I shut my door and lye down on my bed. There's a little knock and my mom peaks through.

"I'm so happy to see you awake." She says and hugs me.

"Mom, when are you planning on moving?" I ask sitting up.

"A month, I'm sorry."

"Does this mean you and dad are splitting up?"

"I'm afraid so, but don't ever blame yourself. I asked him for a divorce because we were never really supposed to get married in the first place. I love him like a friend, not a lover."

"What do you mean you weren't supposed to get married in the first place?"

"Your dad and I broke up, a month later I found out I was pregnant with you. Two months later after that, your dad found out about you and we got back together."

"So I'm the reason you were unhappy for sixteen years?"

"No, you're the reason I've been happy for sixteen years. And by having you I learned to grown up, you're the reason I've made it this far. And you are my greatest legacy." I tear up as she says the last sentence.

"I love you momma."

"I love you Lilypad."

Notes

I'm really sorry for not updating like I promised to yesterday. I was stuck doing my gym ISU which followed by me doing a fitness test today. It sucked, but I got to watch my bf do the test too. Anyways enough about me, Lily's really going through the motions isn't she?
