Free Bird

I wake up to Ashley's snoring in my ear. A smile spreads across my face as I get up. I look around and see we made quite a mess last night with throwing things around. I hold in a chuckle as I look at the man who I love and just gave my most precious gift. I actually lost my virginity, I can't process this. My phone goes off and I see the date. SHIT! Ashley and I have our anniversary today, and with tour and moving back into a dorm I didn't get him anything. Plus, my birthday is in a week too. I have so much to do. I jump out of bed, deciding to clean up our mess. I pick up all our clothes, I even put on some of my clothes that I left here for this reason, but something is missing. His shirt there, pants, boxers. My dress, tights, our shoes are by the front door. What's missing?
"Hey baby, you're up early." Ashley says barely audible, as he rubs the remainder of his sleep crust off his eyes
"Yea, I woke up to your cute snore." I say trying to get the nerves out of my tone, but I can't shake this feeling, "by the way...."
"Yea?" he asks as I move closer to him
"Happy anniversary."
His eyes go wide. "That's today? Oh my god baby, I am so sorry I sound like a total dick, but with tour and just getting home I totally forgot, I am so...."
"Ash, stop. it's okay. I forgot too," I laugh, "It doesn't feel like it's been a year."
"No, it feels much longer, like I have known you my whole life."
He grabs me and pulls me close, he's still naked, so he tosses the blanket over himself. He kisses my temple.
"Well how about this? Since we both kind of forgot, we don't worry about gifts this year. I can set up a romantic dinner here, I'm cooking, and you just bring your cute self." he whispers in my ear.
I blush.
"Now, about earlier, you sounded nervous, was it because you forgot or is something else bothering my baby?"
"I feel like something is missing." I answer, no use trying to hide it
"What do you mean?"
"This morning I was cleaning up our clothes from last night, and I don't know, I feel like something is just missing."
"Like clothes? A sock? Whatever it is it will turn up, don't stress baby. Let me take you back to your dorm, the girls are probably waiting up to talk to you."
I smile and let him get dressed and when I get in the car I can't help but have my mind wander to last night. The way it felt, yes painful at first, but pleasure sure took over fast. I go over every detail, then as soon as it hits me, Ashley hits his brakes in the middle of the parking lot, and looks at me.
"Condom!" we shout together.
