Free Bird

I lock up the shop and start the walk back to campus. I guess Amelia didn't want to talk. But by the sound of my phone Ashley wants too.
"Hello?" I ask, hoping he's not drunk
"Bae! I mssss yoooooooou." he slurs.
"Hun you're drunk, hand off the phone." I beg
"Noooooope, I waaaaaa talk to yoooooooooooou."
Just then I see a glimpse of red up ahead running towards me. As the red gets closer I realize it's Amelia. She comes to a stop in front of me as I'm trying to get my boyfriend to hand over his phone.
"Babe, just give the phone to someone else, preferably someone who isn't drunk."
"So. Sorry. Group.. ran... late" Amelia pants
I give her a smile letting her know it's okay just as Jinxx's voice is on the other line asking if I'm still there.
"Yea I'm here. How was the concert?'
"It was great. Indy is amazing. I think he would've called you sooner, but we decided to play a double encore and he knew you were working tonight."
"A double encore! That's rare for you guys to play isn't it?"
At this point Amelia looks confused. I think she thought I was talking to someone who went to a concert, not someone who is actually in a band. Wait till she hears who I'm talking too, then she'll really shit her pants, I hope not literally.
"Well Andy is hoping the alcohol will sooth his throat. And he didn't break anything, except maybe his wallet." Jinxx laughs
"Tell the boob I said to drink warm tea, not only for the throat but for the hangover, AND he's not allowed to talk until the next show, unless he's talking to Juliet or his parents. And he can thank me later."
"Will do, talk to you later Neva"
"Later Jinxx, tell Ashley I love him, if he's sober enough to comprehend, and tell the other guys I love them too."
I hangup and see that Amelia's eyes have lit up like a Christmas tree, and her jaw is laying in the street... NOT LITERALLY!
