Free Bird

Ashley walks me to my room and before I even open the door I hear the laughing. I panic. What is she doing? Is more of my stuff being destroyed, is that even possible? I throw open the door, but what I see is far from what I expected. My side of the room is perfect. My bed has been replaced and a new comforter covers it. My posters have been replaced, I think there are even more then there was last time. The broken pieces of my possessions couldn't be saved, but they were all placed together, turned into a piece of art that now hangs on my wall. And, Mr. Cuddles has been sewn back together, as if he was brand new. I stand in shock as I look at the faces of al my friends. Andy, Juliet, Jinxx and Alice, CC, Jake, Ella and Lauren. They all stand there, smiles plastered to their faces as they wait for me to say something. I feel tears spring to my eyes. This, this right here is what love is. For the first time since Jessica died I feel love. Then it hits me, this is why she didn't want me to stay with her, she knew, she knew they care. I cry as all of this processes in my head.
"Thank you. Thank you guys so much"
Just then the clouds break and sunlight streams in through the window, as if Jessica is telling me "I told you so" I laugh as I think of that.
"What's so funny?" Andy wonders
I shake my head, but as usual the guys don't let me off the hook. I'm dragged to my bed as everyone sits around me until I tell them what's on my mind.
