Free Bird

"Of all the people in the world I get stuck with you!" She screams as she brings in more boxes than I thought possible, "I am going to have to talk about this with the RA, I can't have you living in MY room, you'll have to move. OH! Maybe Mallory would switch, ugh I have to get this situated, I'm getting sick just breathing your air."
She shuffles through boxes as she talks to herself, but then it hits me. She called this her room? I have been living here for 2 months, getting a jump start on some of my courses and working, she just got here!
"This is MY room!" I say from my bed
"Oh please, you don't own this room, besides I've been assigned this dorm for a month." she replies in disgust.
"NO! YOU DON'T GET IT! I'VE BEEN HERE, LIVING HERE FOR TWO MONTHS!" I scream as tears form in my eyes, while gesturing to my side of the room, clearing showing I have been here longer, "So if anyone is leaving this room, it's YOU!"
"Neveah?" I hear from the door.
I look to my left to see Andy and CC standing in my open doorway, and they have looks of absolute concern on their faces. They should be concerned, they have NEVER heard me yell, and the fact that I am about to start crying isn't helping my case either. I moved across the country to escape high school, not to have it follow me and sleep five feet away! Hayley looks at Andy and CC and her eyes light up.
"Ooooooh, hello," she says in a flirtatious tone, "what brings you boys here?"
"We came to see if Neveah wanted to hangout with us and the rest of the guys" CC answers, completely oblivous
I quickly jump up and start grabbing my things, but stop when I hear Hayley's response.
"Why would you want to hangout with NOT? She's not even pretty, hangout with me and I'll show you guys an amazing time."
"Excuse me," Andy interrupts, irritation laced in his voice,"but who are you?
"I'm Hayley."
"Okay, well 'Hayley' I happen to think Neveah is very pretty, and I am sure I can have a grand time without hanging out with you, and besides our girlfriend wouldn't appreciate the fact of you hitting on us, so if you could just go back to unpacking and let us leave with Neveah, that would be great."
I smile at my best friend as I walk out the door with him and CC.
