"Honey, I'm so glad you're okay! Well not completely okay, I know I have a lot of explaining to do and you probably hate me but..."
"Hate you? HATE YOU! Hate doesn't begin to describe what I feel for you! You left me, with him nonetheless! You left me to be teased and alone, bullied for life, beaten for years! Hate? No despise is closer to what I feel, but it still will never come close to the amount of anger I have built up for you! I hope you know that your other daughter, Jessica, is dead! Died when she was sixteen, got in a car with her boyfriend, took off, drunk driver plowed into them about a mile from home! You didn't even show up! At first I thought you would, how could you not show up to the funeral of your own child, one you carried for nine months, cared for for years, but then I realized you stopped caring for us the day you walked out that door. You leaving caused him to drink, beat both of us, but when she passed it was only me, I was all he had left to take his anger out on! Because of you I was beaten in school, left basically for dead in the bathroom, found and rescued, although at that point I begged for sissy to come find me, to come take me home, but no. I'm blind in my left eye, doctors give me until the age of forty until my world goes completely black for good. Because of you I have depression, anxiety, you name it I have it, and it's all your fault!" tears of anger fall down my face as I let her know what her leaving has done to me, to my sister, to all of us.
She hasn't stopped crying since I got started, but I really don't care. It's time she knew how much pain I've been put through.
"Honey, I wanted to come back, but I'm barely surviving. I can't take care of myself let alone two girls" she tries to pull a boo-hoo sorry act, little does she know it isn't going to work.
"Oh cut the crap, you and I both know you could have gotten federal help, admit it you didn't want us! Say it!" I shout at her, hoping I'm making her pain worse. She says nothing so I decide to end this conversation, "and now I can't even enjoy the only thing I love to do because you're going to be the one teaching it! Thanks a lot, there you go again, always messing things up for me!"
I snatch up my sketchbook and take off. Don't know where I'm headed, don't care, I just want to get as far from campus as possible.
