Immortal Spell

Today is the day of the wedding and I couldn’t be more excited, Ash and I are finally getting married. His family and all our friends flew in yesterday and today I was standing in my room with the girls getting ready. AJ is doing my nails, Juliet is doing my makeup and Ella, Sammi and Lauren are fighting over how to do my hair.
“Guys can you just braid the stands of hair that fall in my face and curl the rest.” I say sick of their stupid argument.
“We can do that.” Ella says as she starts braiding my hair and Sammi and Lauren start curling my hair. After three hours all our hair and makeup is done and we’re dressed, the girls’ hair is curled and their makeup isn’t too far off from mine. We slowly make our way downstairs and to the main ballroom; we lined up to walk in with AJ and I last, AJ is walking me down the aisle. We slowly one by one entered the ballroom, when it was AJ and I’s turn to start walking Jinxx started to play his Overture and we walked in. When I looked down the aisle I saw Ash sanding there in his suit, smiling as he watched me walk closer and closer to him. As I reached the end of the aisle AJ lifted my veil and Ash grabbed my hand as the preacher started talking; I wasn’t paying much attention till I heard him tell Ash to read his vows.
“Kassy from the first date we had I knew you were the one; I knew I loved you and all the little details about you. Like the way your hair gets a bend in it when you tuck it behind your ear, and the way your eyes sparkle when you’re smiling. I love the way you get along with the guys and how you can either be a big goof with them or be stern and parent like. I love the fact that you love me like I love you and I love the fact that we’re going to parent to twins in a few weeks. I love you and I promise to never stop loving you, I promise to care for the twins and you through thick and thin. I promise that I will always make time for you and the twins and nothing will stand between us.” Ash said as I started to tear up.
“Kassy you may say your vows.” The preacher said.
“Ashley, I was first hesitant to let you in because I had been hurt so many times, then you kissed me and I knew in that moment that you would never hurt me. And time and time again you proved me right and was able to give you my heart because I trust you and you didn’t break it. Since you have always been by myside and always loved me my promise to you is to always love you and support you in every crazy idea you and the guys come up with. I promise to spend the rest of my existence with you and I promise to always love you even if you are driving me insane, because at the end of the day we will always have each other and that’s all I’ll ever need.” I said as I let the tears silently fall. Ash reached up to wipe away the tears.
“Kassandra Elizabeth, do you take Ashley Purdy to be your husband, to love and to cherish, in sickness and health, as long as you both shall exists.” The pastor asked me.
“I do.” I say as I look into Ashley’s eyes.
“And do you Ashley Purdy take Kassandra Elizabeth to be your wife, to love and cherish, in sickness and health, as long as you both shall exist.” The pastor asked Ash.
“I do.” Ash says as he too looks in my eyes.
“I now pronounce you husband and wife Ashley you may now kiss your bride.” The pastor said and Ash leaned in to give me a kiss full of so much emotion and I kissed him back with the same if not more emotion. As we broke apart everyone stood and cheered.
“I present to you Mister and Misses Ashley Purdy.” The pastor said and we began to walk down the aisle. We then all walked down to the basement cellar that AJ and the girls decorated for the reception; instead of having a DJ we set up a stage and all the bands that are here are open to playing any song they want.
Ash and I walked on to the dance floor for our fist dance as my son’s band My Darkest Days played Without You; we danced around and would kiss every now and then.
“I can’t believe we are finally married.” Ash said as we danced.
“I can and tonight I want to change you, I know I said I wanted to wait till after the twins are born but I can’t wait any longer. The bond between two immortals is stronger than any blood bond; it’s like you can always feel the other one next to you even if they aren’t. I want that with you.”
“But what about the blood you drink from me?”
“The blood of an immortal in a blood bond is stronger than any human blood.”
“Why didn’t you change me sooner than?”
“Because I now know that the bond between us is stronger than any other bond I have ever seen.”
“So many I ask what happens in a change?”
“Yes, I will feed you my blood and at the same time I will give you a poison that will stop your heart, you will be in excruciating pain for about eight hours but there is nothing I can do for your pain. But I promise to stay by your side till you wake up; then when you wake up I will give you a bag of blood to give you back your strength. To complete our bond we will each drink some of each other’s blood.”
“Well that sounds like fun.”
“I won’t be for either of us but in the end it will be worth it.” We kissed one more time before the song came to a close. The next dance was the father, daughter and the mother and son; Ashley grabbed his grandmother’s hand and started to dance with her as AJ and I started dancing. The rest of Black Veil Brides began to play Carolyn acoustic.
“So you’re changing Ash tonight.” AJ said.
“Yes and you’re an ease-dropper.”
“Yes I am; do you want me to stay with you while Ash is in transition?”
“That would be nice.”
“So how does it feel to be married to the hundredth person?”
“It’s different this time; Ash is the one. I have never loved someone like I love him and I’m not saying this like I said it when I married Derik.”
“I know, I can tell that you and Ashley are made for each other and your blood bond you already have is stronger than most immortal bonds.”
“AJ I can’t describe how I feel about Ash but is more than love and I am so happy that we are finally married and that we’re have twins in two weeks. Nothing could ruin this.” As the song came to a close AJ and I hugged before we sat down for dinner; we had a Greek salad, chicken or fish and a side of wild rice.
“So what were you and AJ chatting about during your dance?” Ash asked as we ate.
“Stuff.”
“Oh come on please tell me.” Ash said with puppy dog eyes.
“Fine we were talking about how much I love you and that I have never loved or will love anyone like I love you.”
“So you talked about me the entire time.”
“Do you know how self-centered you sound right know?”
“Probably really self-centered.”
“Yep, but I still love you, now give me a kiss.”
“Always.” He then leaned in to kiss me.
“Okay I’m going to break up the lovebirds kissing in the back of the room.” Andy said from where he stood on stage, holding a mic. “Okay so when Ash was talking about Kassy and his plans for the wedding he asked me to be his best man and I said yes, we’ve been friends for several years now and we play in a band with our three other friends. But enough about my and Ash’s friendship; Kassy and Ashley meet at a meeting where the band and her meet to discuss her becoming our designer. They went on one date and the rest is kinda history; Kassy have become like the sixth member of Black Veil Brides, she is our sister, and our parent when we need to be yelled at for acting like idiots. I am so glad Ash found someone to love and finally settle down with. So this is to the love Kassy and Ashley share.” Andy said raising his glass.
AJ then walked on stage taking the mic from Andy “I’ve known Kassy forever, we’ve been through everything together and I’m happy to be able to experience this day with her. Ashley is the best thing that has happen to Kassy; he makes her so happy. I support them now but in the beginning I was very hesitant about Ash, I knew his reputation and I knew that I didn’t want him to hurt Kassy and when he didn’t I knew they were perfect for each other. So let’s raise a toast to the everlasting bond that these two will share.”
After the toasts bands would go on stage play a song and get off to let another band on, some songs would be played by different members from different bands. It was really cool to see friends from different bands play together; occasionally Ash would go on stage and play and he would sometimes get AJ or I to play as well. Around ten Misfit and Motley Creu arrived from their different tours they were on; when they both arrived I swear Andy fainted. The two band performed some songs and Andy got to go on stage and sing with them; at midnight Ash and I said goodnight to everyone and went upstairs to my bedroom.
“Can you help me out of my dress?” I asked when we got to the room.
“I would be happy to.” Ash said as he began to unzip my dress, he then helped me into my pj’s before putting on his own. “So we’re going to do this now.”
“Yes but if you don’t want to, we can wait till you feel comfortable.”
“No I’m ready, I’m just scared to die.”
“Well it will be quick and painless but the pain will come in the transition, it won’t last long and I will be here the whole time.” I said as I grabbed a wine glass and the bottle of poison; I then sliced my hand open over the glass and poured in the poison. “Here drink this all and you will fall asleep.” I said handing him the glass.
“Before I do can I have a kiss?”
“Absolutely.” I then gave him a kiss and sat next to him as he downed the glass that will kill him and change him. He then laid down and started to fall asleep; I laid next to him and played with his hair and listened to his breathing getting shallower and shallower till it stopped. I grabbed my phone and texted AJ asking her to grab a bag of blood and come upstairs before the transition started, the whole time I was texting AJ I had tears falling from my eyes.
“Hey sweaty, how’s he doing?” AJ asked as she came in the room with a blood bag laying in a bowl of ice.
“He is dead and any minute now he is going to take a sharp breath and start to scream in pain.” I said trying not to cry but knowing I will when Ash starts to scream. After I said this I herd Ash take a sharp breath in and he let it out in a scream. “Ash, it’s okay I’m here, the pain will be gone soon.” I then continued to play with his hair and hold his hand, I would occasionally would kiss his head and say something soothing.
At around six in the morning Ashley opened his eyes and stopped screaming “Is the pain gone?” he nodded “Let me grab the blood bag it will make you feel better.” I went to stand but he grabbed my arm. “AJ can you please grab it for me?”
“Yeah, then I’m going to leave.” She said and then handed me the bag.
“Thank you AJ.” She nodded and left.
“Here drink.” I said helping Ashley sit up; he drank it but made a funny face when he finished.
“You look you’re going to laugh.” Ash said.
“I am your face looked so funny.”
“Thanks, how long has it been?”
“Six hours.” I looked down at my lap not being able to look at him.
“Hey, it’s okay. I can only imagine the pain you had to go through sitting here and watching me.” Ash said lifting my chin up to look at him.
“I hated seeing you like that it killed me to see you in pain and for such a long time.” I say almost in tears.
“Hey, it may have been very painful but now I will be able to spend the rest of eternity with you.” h says before kisses me.
“Yes we do; we should seal our bond.”
“We should; how do we do it?”
“Here give me your hand and you take mine.” We then gave each other a hand “Now on the count of three you are going to drink from me and I’m going to drink from you.”
“Okay but I don’t know what I’m doing.”
“Your body will know what to do. Are you ready.” He nodded “Okay one… two… three…” and we bite into each other, each taking one gulp before we pulled away licking each other’s wounds. I then felt the strong feeling of Ashley sitting next to me and smiled knowing the bond was created and strong.
“What is that feeling?” Ash asked me while looking into my eyes.
“That’s the bond, the feeling you have will be the strongest the closer we are but you will always have that feel though. It won’t ever go away as long as we both exists.”
“I never want it to go away.” He leaned in kissing me but I stopped him before he went any further.
“I’m sorry I really want to but I’m too tired and pregnant.”
“I don’t care as long as your by my side.” He said pulling me into another passionate kiss before we curled up together and went to sleep.
