An Angels Last Fall

A Dark Passenger

No home, no vessel. What was a Demon when they could not inflict pain on those who carried them? No one to talk to. Forever wandering until their deed was completed. Jerziah was sent up decades ago to find one man. One simple task. As she was beginning to notice, it was not a simple as one would think. It was hard to find an Angel who did not want to be found. It was even harder when there essence was stripped away from them when they crashed landed.

What was a mist supposed to do? Forever looking for someone to carry them. You would think possession would be easy. But it wasn’t. Not for Jerziah. She was different. She had never possed before. Therefore she needed to be called upon. And thus far humans were turning out to be smarter than he had imagined. She loved the battle field. Seeing so much blood and gore. It…got her off one could say. She sat and waited. Until she, opened the flood gates of horror.

Juliet Simms was the average girl rock star. Making her way through life in a band with her brother. Warped Tour was a place everyone wanted to be. And she had a good feeling about this year. 2011. The year her life would never be the same.

One thing she hated was that she had to share a tour with the man she revolted. Andy Biersack. That snood of a rock star. Dressing up in black leather like a wanna be Kiss. Why not just join that band? She rolled her eyes every time he passed by and he did the same. At least she knew the feeling was mutual.

Like most of the tours she always got a small tattoo to remember the time. On her day off she walked into a tattoo parlor that looked a little out of place but it was the only one in that damn town. She flipped through the books of artists and then saw a snake like tattoo on the back of the book.

“How much for this one?” She asked the only tattoo artist in the shop.

He grinned at her which made her stomach turn, “for you? Free.”

A free tattoo? It made her worried but what the hell. Everyone needed one of those experiences right? “Alright!” She smiled.

She figured it was just her looks that would get her this free tattoo. How stupid could one girl be? By the time he had finished she didn’t feel too well. She figured it was just lack of sleep or the smell of the place. She thanked him and walked back to the tour bus.

She started feeling dizzy and almost fell a few times. She felt like she was slipping away from her body. That tattoo on her left calf felt itchy. She reached down to scratch at it when she gasped. She fell backwards seeing that it was moving. And not like her skin was moving, it was moving like and snake on her skin. It was inside of her. She screamed as high as she could and tried to wipe it off.

“Silly girl,” She heard.

She shot her head around to see who had said that. She had started to hyperventilate. “Stop it!” She screamed again.

“You know you want me.” The voice said again. It was like a whisper. A dark deep whisper inside of her. “Tell me you want it!” It started to sound more human. Like a woman.

Juliet started to lose control of her own body. Her arms and legs went numb. She felt her mouth moving like she was trying to get used to it moving it. “Get out…” She slurred. And that, was the last thing Juliet Simms ever said.

“I told you you wanted it.” The passenger inside of her said. With her own voice. Juliet was now the passenger. Along for the dark ride. Unable to scream. Unable to die. Just…there. “Now, I can finally finish was I was supposed to do.” The snake tattoo stopped moving and she stood up straight. She fixed herself and put both hands to either of her breasts. “Different. But I can’t be picky can I?”

Soon Juliet and Andy Biersack started dating. After a few years Juliet started to get bored and just wanted to live ‘her’ life. She got more tattoos than the real Juliet Simms would have wanted. She cut her hair way too short. She started dressing like the rebel inside of her. She cheated on Andy multiple times and it broke his heart. He left her and Juliet knew that she was just going to have to find another way to complete her task. She thought nothing of it. She would get around to it sooner or later.

Until one day she had a visit from her superior. “What the fuck are you doing?!” Juliet dropped her phone and spit up the beer she was chugging down. She dared not turn around. “You have this body for three years and you still have not completed your task.”

“Things like this take time. And I lost him for now. I’ve been looking for ways to get back on track. I swear.” She stuttered not wanting to bend down to pick her phone up.

“Yes, I can see that you’re working real hard with all of the binge drinking you’ve been doing.” He sighed, “the next time we meet you better have him.” He got close to her quick. He was in her ear. Breathing heavily down her neck. “Or else this body will be used for so much more than dancing and singing up on stage.”

She darted her eyes to the side to see that he was gone. She sighed and picked her phone up. She scrolled through her contacts to find Andy’s number still in it. Winning him back was going to be the only way.
