Beauty and the Beast

It's been three months since Borden was sent to exicution, although it was delayed some time due to Grant Losvy, the mayors son, becoming too ill to even walk. The mayor was worried sick and had himself, and a team of 10, to take Grant to the nearest village with a working hospital. There village had one but it was nothing like the village to the east.

Jordan had tried many things to get Borden out, she had even poisoned Grant...now she was learning the laws of the town. And found a single loop hole. But if Borden was right, and Kenna might still be alive, she was going to kill Jordan.

"I would like to speak to my fiancé." Jordan said to the prison keeper.

He let her in with the turn of a large steal key. She sat beside Borden, who was sitting in sarrow on the hard prison bed. He held his face in his hands. His face was sunken in, his eyes had large dark circles under them.

"This is wrong." He mumbled.

"It's the only thing we can do to get you out of the sentence." Jordan rested a hand on his knee.

"You do know that the mayor has to watch us have sex to prove that we didn't marry to only get me out of prison." He finally took his head off of his hands and stared at Jordan.

She lowered her head and looked at her hands. "Anything to keep you safe."

"Jordan, I'm not asking you to do this." Borden now rested his hands on Jordan's lap.

She stayed silent for a moment, then took his hands in hers. She brought them to her lips and kissed them tenderly. She then looked to him and gave him a smile. "I want to do this, for you, and for Kenna. I'm ready to finally do something good."

Borden smiled to her. His father had already bought them a house, and his mother and sister had decorated it for them. They would be wed tomorrow, and by sunset they would have proven to the mayor that they indeed, truly do love each other.

"You are the most good person I've ever met, Jordan." He kissed her cheek softly.
