You Again

February 29th.


Yes it's Leap day, also known as Do Whatever The Hell You Want day. I woke up bright and early today, and already have my first margarita in my hands.

"Good morning Sunshine." Jinxx says as he walks into the kitchen. He kisses me on the cheek and takes a seat across from me on an island stool.

"Good morning, you want one?" I ask holding up my drink.

"No, I have to go to rehearsal today, I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry," I rush over to his side, "you're an amazing guitarist, I realize how important you are to your fans. So I get that you guys need to sound good for them." I give him a big long kiss.

"You're the most beautiful woman I've ever met, I'm glad I get to be with you." He pecks my nose. "I have to go get dressed." He says and returns to the bedroom.

I let out a long sigh and drink the rest of my glass. I slip out of the apartment and go to the Starbucks next door. I grab us some bagels and coffee and return back the apartment. I place his breakfast down on the table and dig into mine.

Sometimes I wonder whether Jinxx generally loves me or Andy's plot his revenge. If this is some form of revenge, then I might not come back from this one. But if Jinxx loves me, I'm glad. I've never felt like this with a guy before. With Andy I felt at home. With Drew I felt like a toy. But with Jinxx I feel butterflies in my tummy, my anxiety goes up in a good way, I always want to see him smile because when I'm by his side there's no way I'm not smiling. When he kisses me I feel like I'm a teenager who just got their first kiss from the hottest guy in school. And when we talk, it's like I'm dreaming, and this dream is something I don't want to wake up from. I really hope he feels the same, but part of me has doubts.

"Awe you got me breakfast babe, you're the best." Jinxx says picking up his coffee and bagel.

"Have fun." I say and give him a big hug.

"What are you gonna do while I'm out?"

"I don't know, might go shopping. Besides I need some new bras anyways."

"I'll see you tonight." He kisses me and leaves the apartment.

I take a shower and change into a simple outfit. I grab my purse and leave the apartment. I've been staying at Jinxx's for the last week because the apartment above mine had plumbing issues and my apartment's flooded. The neighbour agreed to pay for it to get fixed, which I was grateful for, and I only have to wait another week or so to go home. I don't really care though, I love staying at Jinxx's. The only problem is when Andy makes visits without calling first. I have to hide in the closet of chill out on the fire escape.
I hail a cab and enter the car.

"Where to Miss?" He asks, he has a nice accent.

"Santa Monica Place please." I say and put my seatbelt on. "Nice accent by the way, where are you from?"

"Brisbane, Australia, Miss." He says.

"Please stop calling me that, call me Isabelle."

"Okay Isabelle."

"What's your name?" I ask biting my lip, he looks back at me through the mirror and smirks.

"My name's Jacob, you really want to talk don't you?" I nod.

"Haven't gotten out of the apartment much, and I've only talked to one person in the last week."

"That sounds boring, what do you do for a living?"

"I'm a model, I haven't gotten a gig in a few weeks so I've gotten a lot of down time. So have you always wanted to be a cabby?"

"No, I want to be a singer."

"What are your inspirations?" I mimic his accent getting a chuckle out of him.

"Blink-182, My Chem, Green Day, and All Time Low."

"Have you seen any of them in concert?"

"My first concert was a Blink in my hometown."

"I went to Warped last year to see All Time Low. I'm friends with Juliet Simms so she introduced us."

"I'd die to meet All Time Low."

"Well if I see you at Warped this year, I'll be sure to introduce you. It was nice to meet you Jacob." I hand him thirty bucks and get out of the cab. "Oh, and never give up on your dreams, I'd like to see you in concert one day."

"See you at Warped!" He yells and drives off. I walk into the mall.





Two Hours Later.

I called Juliet when I got in, and when she got here we practically bought the whole place. I have so many new dresses, tops, shoes, and bras. It's overall been a great day.

"Can we stop in at Hot Topic? I wanna get a Beatles top." She asks.

"Yeah of course." I say. Juliet goes searching for a shirt and I look at the jewelry. I get tapped on the shoulder.

"Fancy seeing you here." He says. Accents are so funny.

"It's been awhile Oli." I say and turn my attention to him.

"Well I saw you and I thought I'd apologize for kissing you, you're just too hot I couldn't restrain myself." He says bringing a smile to my face.

"Yeah well, it doesn't matter now. I have a new boyfriend."

"Do tell."

"No way, how do I know you won't get between it?"

"Because I have a girlfriend."

"Yet you're still such a flirt."

"It's in my nature. So when's the last time you did a modelling gig?"

"It's been a month or so."

"Here," he hands me a card. "Modelling for Drop Dead Clothing should be your next hit. You might need to style your hair a little differently, but I think you'd be great."

"You're hooking me up?"

"I founded the company, so why not?"

"Thank you Oli." I give him a hug.

"Call the number." He says and walks away.

"You ready to go?" Juliet asks. I nod and we leave the store.

"Looks like I'm gonna be modelling for Drop Dead Clothing." I say.

"Nice, I love their products. I'm gonna get a drink." She walks into Starbucks. I decide to send a text to Jinxx.


Belle: What time do you think you'll be home by?


As I send it I accidentally walk into a guy. He spills his drink on me.

"I'm so sorry." I say.

"You're sorry? I'm sorry. You've got Coke all over yourself." He says, more accents.

"Don't worry about it, I've got extra clothes."

"Please, let me buy you a drink or something to make up for it."

"Oh all I really want is a smoke."

"Even better, my name's Denis." He holds out his hand and I shake it.

"My name's Isabelle."
