You Again

January 24th.


I haven't spoken to Andy since he decided his career means more to him than me. But what am I supposed to say to that? Really? I could say a sarcastic "thanks" or I could scream at him till I can't scream anymore. Or I could forget about him. He was once my best friend, but now he's like a stranger to me.

I don't care about Andy anymore anyways. Lately I've been hanging out with Juliet and she's been showing me a lot of new guys. Sure I flirt with them, but they're not who I'm interested in. Right now I'm at Jinxx's apartment and we're making lunch.

"What do you want on your sandwich?" He asks. I grab the grapes out of his fridge.

"What are my options?" I ask. I rinse the grapes and place them in a bowl.

"Ham or Turkey?"

"Turkey of course." I grab strawberries and rinse them.

"Good, my ex was a ham girl, I'm done with ham." He chuckles. "What are you making?"

"I'm making us a healthy fruit salad." I start chopping up some bananas.

There's a knock on the door. "Come in." Jinxx yells and Jake walks in with his head in his hands.

"Dude I miss her so much." Jake says and I raise a brow.

"Come on man, it's been a month." Jinxx says.

"It took you three months to stop moping about Sammi." Jake says.

"Fair." Jinxx says.

"I'm sorry, what's going on?" I interject. Jake looks up at me.

"Belle, I didn't notice you were here. Um Ella broke up with me."

"Why on earth would she do that?" I ask.

"We both have careers that distance ourselves from each other and she said that we both deserve consistent love." Jake says.

"Oh well I'm sorry Jake, have some fruit salad." I say handing him the bowl.

"Look man, if you want to get over her then you have to get out there. Get right back on the horse and trust me, things will get better." Jinxx says.

"Alright, I'll see you guys later." Jake says while leaving, taking the bowl with him.

"I guess fruit salad is off the menu." Jinxx says with a smirk.

"Ugh! Why?" I ask.

"Belle relax, it was just fruit salad, you can make another bowl."

"No that's not what I'm talking about."

"Then what are you talking about?"

"Why do I have to have feelings for you Jinxx?"

"I feel the same. Oh what am I saying? Andy's my friend, have I gone mad?"

"I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are."

"And your a fan of Alice In Wonderland, that makes it worse."

"Jinxx please don't hide your feelings, I really like you, you're the first guy I've had true feelings for since you know who."

"Thou shall not be named."

"Exactly. So are you willing to give us a shot?"

"What if Andy finds out?"

"I'll deal with him."

"Okay. Just one thing."

"What?" He tilts my chin up and kisses me. We both release with the biggest grins on our faces.

"Okay I'm in." He says and kisses me again.

Today I found out a writer on this website passed away cause of cancer. I really liked the book she was collabbing on, it's just a significant loss. Farewell IlovChristianMora aka Raven.
