Almost Hit
-Three Years Later-
I get to work and go into my office. I haven't seen him since that day. I shake my head getting the memory out of my head. I check my Emails and find a new email from my boss. She wants me to help a band write some songs for their new album Wretched and Divine.
The band is called Black Veil Brides. Lead guitarist Jake Pitts, lead singer Andy Sixx, drummer CC, bassist Ashley, and rythmic guitarist Jinxx.
I go to my boss' office and she tells me that I will be their personal writer to help the guys come up with lyrics. "Sign the contract, here, here, and here and you will get a pay raise. "
"By signing this contract, you will be their lyricist, and you will go on tour with them and work in their studio." He says. "They want to meet you soon, if you choose to work for them. You will no longer stay in this office or work here, but you get better pay, and you get to travel the world."
I smile, I won't have to stay in this place, I can go wherever I want. "I'll do it." Finally, I get to go everywhere a band goes, meaning we could leave this continent. I don't like staying places too long, like my office, which of right now is no longer mine.
Joey gives me their number, and I go back to my old office. I get the phone and type their number in. It rings a few times before someone answers. "Hello?" A man answers. "Hi. This is Haley Blade Sixx. I would like you to know that I accept the job. When would you like to meet up and where?"
"Is there any way you could meet the band and I in 2 hours, at a restaurant called Olive Garden. It's on me and we could all meet up there and get to know each other before working together. By the way my name is John." He says.
"Yea, I could definitely do that. I'll see you guys in 2 hours." "Ok, see you soon." And the call ended. I got my stuff out of my office and went to my car to get in, and drive home to get ready.
I change into some black ripped skinny jeans, a Nirvana shirt, a black hoodie, and plain black converse. I put on some eyeliner.
I like getting to places early, so I leave and get there 15 minutes before time. Around 5 minutes later a few cars pull up. They get out and I know it's the band and their manager John.
I walk over to them, and realize one guy is missing. A guy walks up to me. "You're Haley, right?" I turn towards him. "Just call me Blade, but yes. I am." I answer. "Nice to meet you. I'm John their manager." He puts his hand out for me to shake. "Nice to meet you." I shake his hand.
"Come on guys we're going to eat, Andy will be here in a minute." John said. I shuddered at the name Andy. If I ever saw him again. I don't know what I would do.
We walked into the restraunt, and the waiter led us to a table. "What can I get for you to drink today?" She smiled at us. We went around the table for answers.
"Coke." CC answered. "Sprite." I think that was Jake. "Dr.Pepper." I answer. "Andy is going to sit by you, Blade. He is going to get Dr.Pepper." John answered for Andy. "Coke." I'm pretty sure that was Jinxx. "Coke." That was Ashley. I remember his hair. "And I'll have a coke." John said.
"Hey John, there's Andy." I turn around just to be met with the blue eyes I never wanted to see again. Andy. He looked up from his phone, and froze. I froze too.
"Is there something wrong, Blade?" Jinxx asked. Andy started walking very slowly. "No. Nothing is wrong." I put on a fake smile. I've used that face too many times.
Andy walked up to the table,and the only chair left was the other one by me. Andy sat down, and looked towards me. I saw regret in his eyes. "Hey, John? I forgot my phone in my car. I gotta go get it, someone could call me. I'll be back in a minute."
"Hey guys, I left my phone too. I'll be back in a minute." I walked towards my car, and I was almost there when I heard someone shout my name. I turned around, and Andy was about 30 feet away (around 10 meters).
I was in the middle of the road in the parking lot and Andy was now only a few feet away. "Watch out!" He shouted running towards me.
I look down the road and someone is going about 50 mph. and their about to hit me. I'm frozen. Andy runs picking me up and running out of the way. I bury my face in his chest scared of what is to happen.
I open my eyes, and Andy is looking down at me. I know he used to have anger problems. He doesn't anymore though. I'm sure of it by the way he acts.
He puts my legs on the ground, and let's me stand by myself. "Thanks. You saved me." I say. "Anything for you, you deserve it. I used to be a dick to you. I'm also very sorry that one time, I didn't mean that stuff." He says.
"There isn't anything I could do in the world, that should make you forgive me." "I did forgive you. I'm just not sure I can trust you anymore." His eyes tear up and a few tears slip. "Come on Andy. Please don't cry. If you cry, you're gonna make me cry."
I wipe his tears away with my thumbs. He smiles a little. He hugs me, and I slowly wrap my arms around him, and hug him back. "Will you try to trust me? I'll do anything. Just please try to trust me?" I nod my head.
It may take weeks or months or more to make me trust him, but I hope I don't make a bad decision by trying to trust him. I don't think I am. He's really changed.
Andy's POV
Why did I have to be such an idiotic teenager? It wasn't even her fault for gods sake it was her parent's. I don't notice, but a few tears slip.
She backs up and wipes my eyes again. "Do you trust me at all?" She thinks for a moment, then answers. "Yes. You saved me from being hit by a car. Thank you." She answers.
I wish she knew that when I seen her in the restraunt, I fell in love with her. I love her, and she'll never know if she doesn't ever fully trust me.
I look down at her and her eyes are wide. Oh god, I said that out loud.
