Stitch These Wounds With Me Tonight

[Jessa's POV]

I wandered over to CC'S room and knocked gently. A half asleep CC opened a minute later.

"CC, I need to raid your closet. Jinxx and I are heading out to shop and I've got nadda."

"You just want to get in my pants." He grinned.

I giggled. "You caught me."

"It's all clean," He said as he gestured around the room, "I was packing in a hurry to get you and left it all around."

It looked like a category five hurricane went through CC's room. There was what looked like a broken down drum kit under a ton of shirts. I think there was a bed in there somewhere too.

"Holy shit CC, why don't I help you while I look? It's the least I can do." I said starting to fold shirts.

"You're awesomesauce Jess."

We folded in all in no time and he helped me find something comfortable.

"Thanks CC. I'll bring it all back later."

"Anytime Jess, anytime."

I hugged him and went to get ready.

"Babe, have you seen my makeup bag? I need a hair tie."

"What's it look like?"

"A black coffin."

"Found it!"

He walked into our bathroom and put the bag on the counter, and spun me around. He grabbed the backs of my thighs and put me on the counter next to the bag. He started kissing my shoulder and up my neck, nipping at my sensitive skin here and there.

"Jeremy..." I breathed.

"Yes love?" He murmured still making his way up my neck.

"We need to get going if we're going to find furniture and get it up by tonight."

He sighed and put his forehead on my shoulder "Killjoy."

"You take that back!" I pouted.

"Nope." He said dramatically.

"Jeremy Miles Ferguson! You take that back!"

He crossed his arms and looked me in the eye with a straight face. "I will not."

"BUBBY!!!!" I yelled.

I heard Jake's heavy footfalls coming down the hall.

"You bellowed?" He said coming in the bathroom.

"Tell your friend that we need to go furniture shopping and he needs to stop trying to seduce me." I smirked.

Jake threw his hands up half laughing and backing our of the room,"More than I want to know, I'm staying out of this."

Jeremy started laughing at me. "Well that backfired."

I pulled my hair up and tied a bandana around to control my flyaways. I hopped down and grabbed his hand.

"Lets go lover boy. The sooner we leave, the sooner we get a new bed to break in."
We walked downstairs and met everyone except Riles and Ash in the living room.

"Jess and I are going shopping any requests for dinner?"

"Burgers from In & Out!" CC said.

"I'm cooking guys. No take out." I let them know.

"Mom's lasagna or ravioli would be amazing." Jake requested.

"Jake, that takes so long Bubby."

"Please Sissy?" He pleaded, giving me the full effect of his big brown sad eyes.

"Fine, but you have to help us. You and CC get started making the bread while we're gone.
That way it'll be done in time." I told him.

He looked so happy. He hadn't had mom's lasagna in years, I hope I don't let her down.

[Jinxx's POV]

"Alright babe. Let's roll." I took her hand and led her to the car.

"Which car is yours?"

"The black Cobra with red pin striping. Ash got it for me for my birthday last year." I smiled.

"Wow..." She looked stunned. "It looks like your Recluse. It's gorgeous."

"Thanks." I blushed.

I opened the door for her and walked around to get in.

"Wait until you hear how Bertha sounds."

"You named this glorious car Bertha? She needs a sexier name. She may be vintage, but she's not an old lady!" Jess exclaimed.

"What would you name her?"

"Roxanne!" She sang.

"Nice, I think that suits her perfectly." I started Roxanne and watched Jessa's face.

[Jessa's POV]

Jeremy started the car and she let out a loud deep roar before settling into a loud and low rumble. I nearly creamed myself.

"Oh, my, God!" I whispered.

[Jinxx's POV]

"I'll take it you like her?"

"I love her!"

"Good, now where to? Bedroom furniture or clothes shopping first?"

"Clothes. I can knock that all out at two stores tops. Bedroom furniture may take us a while."

"The mall it is. Hopefully I don't get recognized. I didn't bring my sunglasses or a hat." I told her.

"Then I'll just get the essentials from Old Navy and order the rest offline. No one will know who you are there."

"The furniture store I was going to take you to is next to Old Navy, so that's perfect."

I drove us to Old Navy and Jess was done in no time. We walked over to look at furniture after we put her bags in the car. An overly perky woman greeted us at the door.

"Welcome in! I'm Staci, what can I help you find today?"

"My husband and I were looking for a new bedroom set. Something in a dark wood and sturdy." Jessa spoke up.

What game is she playing?

"Certainly Mrs..."

"Ferguson." Jess replied.

"What kind of budget did you have in mind Mr. Ferguson?" Staci asked me.

"Whatever my wife wants, she can have."

"Right this way then." Staci turned to lead the way.

I gave Jess a questioning glance.

"She's looking at you like you're a piece of man candy. You're my man candy, not hers!" Jess whispered in my ear.

We caught up the distance between the saleswoman and us quickly.

"What do you think of this set? It's a dark cherry color, and the base has a set of drawers underneath, so it's plenty sturdy." She rattled of more details and Jess looked unamused.

"I like the color, but I'd love to see a four poster. Nothing too classic looking." Jess replied.
I actually had a similar thought.

"I have the perfect one in mind. Simple clean lines, nothing over the top, but still stunning."

She took us to the far corner of the show room. Jessa's eyes lit up when she saw it.

"We'll take the set. California King for the bed. iCloud mattress set as well."

"As you wish sir. We should have it all in stock. I'll also have the delivery and set up fees waived for you." Staci replied.

I handed her my card and she walked away to ring us out.

"Jeremy, you cannot spend several grand on something because I like it."

"I want you to be comfortable, and to give you what you deserve babe." I leaned down to kiss her.

As I pulled away I saw Staci had returned.

"Here you are Mr. Ferguson. I just need you to fill out the form for delivery and sign the bottom. They will have it to your house within the next hour."

I filled it all back and handed it back to her.

"Thank you so much Mr. and Mrs. Ferguson. Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with in the future."

We thanked her and went back to the car.

"That went quicker than I thought. Mrs. Ferguson." I smiled.

"Yeah it did." Jessa laughed.

"Did I detect a bit of possessiveness from you love?" I asked with half a laugh.

"I told you, you're my man candy. Bitch needed to know her place." Jess said with a hint of fire in her eyes.

I couldn't help but let out a laugh.

"I'm finally, truly happy. I'm not going to let some bottle blonde bimbo mess this up too." Jess admitted.

"I'm not going anywhere until you make me babe." I said leaning over and kissing her head.

She smiled and leaned into me as I started Roxanne again.

"Let's get going. We have an army to feed." She said.

I pulled out of the shopping complex and took her to the grocery store closest to the house. Pointing out things and places as we went. It felt like forever, but we got everything we needed and then some. By the time we got back to the house it smelled like fresh bread, and the furniture guys were done putting the bed together.

"If you're getting rid of the old furniture items, here's a list of local charities that are in need." The main guy said.

"I'd love to donate. I'll give them a call tomorrow and schedule a pick up. Thanks so much!" I told him as they were leaving.

"Well babe, what do you think of our room so far?" I asked Jessa.

"Looking pretty snazzy."

"I'm glad you like it. Now let's go start on dinner."

I picked her up and threw her over my shoulder, carrying her to the kitchen. I set her down and we started pulling everything out we would need for dinner. Jess called out what I needed to do and I made sure to follow it to the letter.

[Jake's POV]

"Sissy, that smells amazing!" I hugged her.

"Jeremy did most of the work. I just told him what to do." She admitted.

"We should do this at least once a week. That way we can cut down on the garbage we eat."

"That sounds like a great idea! Each guy gets a day, the Riley can have one, and one junk day." Jessa thought out loud.

"I call dibs on tomorrow's lesson!" CC yelled from the living room.

"I'm after CC!" Andy bellowed.

"Guess that makes me after Andy, then Ashley and Riley." I said walking back up to my room for a bit.

I love how our little band of outcasts have become one big family. I only hope and pray that it stays this way for a long time to come.

[Jessa's POV]

Jeremy did everything perfectly and the lasagna looks and smells just like my mom's. It reminds me of when I was little and she'd make it for Jake on special occasions or bad days. She always made me ravioli or chocolate cake. We'd all sit down at the table and talk until long after the food was gone or put away. I missed that after mom died.
I miss her so bad right now. I sneak up to Jake's room before dinner is ready. I can feel the tears in my eyes as I started to knock. I guess Jake heard me coming up the stairs, because he opened the door before my hand met it. He pulled me into a hug that felt like home, and into his room. He sat on the bed and I laid my head in his lap like when I was little.

"Bubby, I miss momma. It still hurts so bad."

"I know Jess, I feel it too. You remind me so much of her. You're smart, kind, caring, and funny. You put everyone else before you. You've become such an amazing woman Jess. I
know she's proud of you."

He rubbed my back and played with my hair a bit, trying to make me feel better.
I sat up and looked into his big brown eyes.

"You think so?"

"I know so Sissy. Dad and I are so proud of you too. I don't know what is in store for us, but I know she is watching over us. I'm sure she's put us back together for a reason."

He squeezed me tight.

"Thanks Jacob. You always know what to say. You got that from her." I smiled and wiped away the tears.

"Let's go eat. I'm sure the rest of our family is starving. I'll text Ash."

"Good, I am not going anywhere near that room if they're both in there." I laughed as we went down to the kitchen.

[Jinxx's POV]

I saw Jess come through the living room, looking like she's been crying. She came over to the recliner I was sitting in and curled up on my lap with her head on my shoulder.

"Hey babe, I was starting to wonder where you went. Everything okay?"

"Yeah. I just wanted to spend some time with Jakers for a little bit. I started to miss our mom
while cooking with you and needed him."

"I completely understand Jess."

I kissed her softly as the timer went off in the kitchen.

"Sounds like it's cooled enough to cut into. CC made Jello for dessert."

"THERE'S ALWAYS ROOM FOR JELLO!" He shouted from the top of the stairs.

We stood up and walked into the kitchen and started grabbing things and forming a buffet. Andy put together a quick salad and set it out and we all dug in.

"Can I assume you all like it? I've never heard this much silence from the five of you, much less CC." Jess chortled.

[Jake's POV]

"It's exactly like mom's. Good job you two." I told Jess with a huge smile.

It made her look so happy that I thought that.

"What are we making tomorrow night CC? You pick." She asked him.

I spoke up before he could answer. "Not chicken. I'm making something with chicken on my night."

"How about meatloaf and mashed potatoes. I don't think I can mess that up." He said sheepishly.

"That will be perfect. I'll even show you an easy way to make the potatoes without the boxed
stuff."

"I just ate and I can't wait for dinner tomorrow. If CC doesn't burn the kitchen down first." I sniggered.

[CC's POV]

"That was one time!"

The guys started laughing really hard. Andy looked at CC with tears starting to form. "CC, you caught toast on fire! Even I'm not that bad."

"How do you catch toast on fire? Was there an electrical short?" Jess asked.

"No short, I'm just talented." I said quietly.

"Meatloaf will be easy enough Christian. Ignore them." Jess told me.

"If Jess can teach me to cook, you'll have no problem. I couldn't even make Jello before Jess
taught me." Riley confessed.

I felt a little better after she told me that. We finished our dinner, and I grabbed the Jello cups out of the fridge, along with the whipped cream.

"I hope everyone likes dessert!"

I passed them all around the table and waited.

"CC, did you seriously make giant Jello shots?" Ash asked.

"Yes I did!"

"Great idea! Saves me from having to get up for another drink!" Riley told me.

Andy, Ash and I started to clean everything up once we all finished. It didn’t take that long and we all piled in to the living room for a movie. By the time it was over it looked like a bomb went off. I think I'm the only one not asleep. I took my phone out and took a picture of them all.

BVB Sleep Over 2015!

I crept over to Jinxx and woke him up so he could take Jess to bed. Poor thing looked wiped. I don't think she really sat still since getting here. I helped him open their door and closed it behind them. I went to my room and got undressed. I dove into my huge bed and made myself into a giant burrito. I missed this while we were gone.

Sorry I've not posted in a long time. I've been down with a huge migraine. Not the best feeling in the world. I'll be back at this as much as possible now that I'm feeling better.
