My Reality

"Okay so the guest room is right through there." Andy says pointing to a door.

"Really Andy, you didn't have to do this." I say walking to the guest room.

"But I did. So go change into your pyjamas and we'll watch the rest of the movie." I nod and do as he says.

I put on my Batman shorts and tanktop. I put my hair up in a high ponytail and walk out to the living room. I jump onto the couch and wait for Andy. He walks out in his Batman pyjama pants. I find myself staring at all of his tattoos. Mostly at the dragonfly one in a heart on his chest.

"Nice pjs." He says sitting next to me.

"What's the dragonfly tattoo for?" I ask.

"It's kind of a thing between me and Juliet." He shows me the tattoo on his hand. "She has a tattoo like this on her hand except it says White Rabbit, because I'm her White Rabbit and she's my Dragonfly."

"Cute," that just puts my mood to an all time low. "Wanna continue on with the movie?" He nods and presses play.

I think I drifted off during the second part of the movie. I wake up to see Andy staring at me and the TV off. I rub my eyes and sit up. "How was the rest of the movie?" I ask.

"Good. Did you know you make a light snore when you sleep?" He asks and I shake my head. "Well what do you want to do now?"

"I don't know, what do you have in mind?" I ask.

"We could get to know each other." I nod. "What do you want to do after high school?"

"I've always wanted to be a singer, ever since I was four. But lately I've been thinking of being a lyricist."

"Sing me something."

"What?"

"Sing me something, anything really."

"If I gave you my heart

In knots" I sing and look up at him.

"You're amazing!" He tells me and I shake my head.

"No I'm really not."

"But you really are." He looks at me in the eyes. He leans in and I stand up.

"I think I'm going to hit the sack." I walk into the guest room and shut the door.

I really do like him, but he's not how I dreamt. He's not going to whisk me away to Neverland. He's not going to break up with Juliet for me, he has tattoos that shows off his love for her. I shouldn't have came here with him, seeing this hurts way too much, more than all of the punches I've ever gotten put together. I want him more than everything, but he wouldn't give the world to me.

The next morning I wake up at 7 o'clock. I get dressed and walk out to the living room, bag in hands. Good, no one's awake. I slip out of the apartment and walk down to the school. It took awhile because his apartment is downtown, but I finally got to the school just before my first class.

When lunch arrives, I decide to grab something to eat from the cafeteria. Today they're serving mini lava cakes and I grab one.

"Hey Scarlet, you got something on your shirt." Taylor says. I turn around and she flings my plate up at my shirt. The lava cake makes a big stain. "I'm so sorry, here have mine." She then hits my face with her lava cake.

"And you can have ours." Alexis and Katie say in unison and hit both sides of my head with lava cake.

I run out of the cafeteria as the laugh starts. I rush down to my locker to grab my bag. I feel someone touch my cheek with their finger, taking off some of the chocolate.

"Mmm is that lava cake?" Andy asks taking his finger out of his mouth. I grab my bag and slam my locker making him jump. I storm down the hall. Andy catches up to me. "I'm sorry that was unsympathetic of me." I cross my arms. "What happened to you?"

"Why do you care? So many people don't give a damn about me, but why do you? You have a girlfriend and I'm sure a loving family, why do you waste your time on me?" I ask.

"I don't know. All I know is that you're a human being and you deserve to be treated with respect."

"Well no ones gonna treat me with respect when I look like actual shit."

"Go get cleaned up, I'll have you excused from your next class. After your done, come to my classroom." I nod and go to the girls locker room.

I take a long shower and use my travel sized shampoo and conditioner in one to wash my hair. When I'm finished, I change into my Harley Quinn tanktop, red skinny jeans, and my black suede buckle combat boots. I put my hair up in a high ponytail and do my eyeliner: V for Va-Va-Voom.

I walk out of the locker room and down to Andy's classroom.

"So you're a Harley Quinn girl, I thought you to be more of a Catwoman fan." Andy says as I enter.

"Only because Harley and the Joker's love for each other." I say taking a seat.

"More like she's obsessed with him and he likes her."

"She may be insanely obsessed with him, but that's what happens when you're in love. And the Joker has his moments that show his true love for her."

"True like that one quote... I forget what it was."

"I didn't know a thing about her. I only knew that when she kissed me, I felt alive again and my whole world became something different. It was heaven and hell, brought together in my head. My own secret world. And I would burn there." Andy looks at me stunned. "That's my favourite quote." I get out my notebook.

"How long did it take to memorize it?"

"I don't know, I've just loved that quote for so long, I just remember."

"Speaking of remembering, I remember you saying something about have a dream during your comatose state." He brings up and I shrug.

"Yeah what about it?" I ask, this is going to be humiliating.

"What'd you dream about?"

"No it's way too embarrassing."

"I won't tell, I promise."

"I dreamt that you and me were... We were a thing. And we had fourteen year old twins named Amy and Johnnie. And we had another kid on the way. Please don't make fun of me, I'm not in the greatest mood."

"We all have strange dreams. Did you say one of the kids name's was Amy?" I nod. "That's my mother's name."

"Yeah well, in the dream a lot of crazy stuff happened on the way. Like fifteen years packed into one week."

"Tell me more."

I ended up telling Andy almost everything about my dream, except about Ashley, and he was completely cool about it. The bell rang and Andy had to start teaching the class. The rest of school went by pretty well and soon the final school bell rang.

"Scarlet, you gonna stay at my place again?" Andy asks when everyone's gone.

"No I think it's best I go home." I say and he nods.

I walk out to Sam's car where I know he'll be waiting.

"You ready to come home?" Sam asks and I nod.

We all have to face the music, and now I'm ready.
