Sincerly, Rose ~ Andy Biersack

Ch.3

--Rose's POV--

I walked into the class, suprisingly on time; I'd asked someone less intimidating in the cafeteria. I looked around, my eyes falling on Andrew, the kid I'd already been so unfortunately aqquainted with. Hoping to make amends, I sat down in the desk next to him. He didn't seem to mind, but he didn't look at me either.
"I, uhm, don't want to start off on bad terms so, I'm sorry if I offended you." I said shyly.

"Yeah, just try not to be such a snobby ass bitch next time." He mumbled.

What? I thought back on everything I had said. It wasn't much, actually. I introduced myself and told him what my first class was.

"Excuse me?" I said, annoyed.

"Yeah. Excuse you."

I opened my mouth to speak, but found myself unsure of what to say. I had never had someone be so perplexingly rude towards me.

The bell rang and the teacher, Mr. Petrick, called attention to the board.

"Alright, let's get started...A little review from last week, okay?" He asked, beginning to write a question on the board.

I had been a straight A student at my old school and in almost all honors classes. I hoped the same for here.

I examined the blue marker writing on the board; The Holocaust effected which groups of people?
My hand shot straight up in the air, and I heard Andy make a small, scoffing noise that dulled my confidence.

"Everyone, this is our new student Roselyn." He said, gesturing to me. I smiled cheekily and blushed at the large amount of people turning around to see me. "Roselyn, do you have an answer?"
I nodded, stuttering at first. "The holocaust effected non-Christian religions, the disabled, the mentally ill, and those who opposed Hitler." I stated.

He nodded. "Very good. Can anyone name more?"

Andy snorted with laughter. "Know it all." He mumbled. "Sorry I'm smarter than you." I said, loud enough for everyone to hear. He shot me an icy glare. "You wanna see who's smarter? Yeah, okay, bitch. Let's play a game."

He turned his attention back to the board and said nothing for the rest of the class.

When the bell finally rang, I kept my head down an exited the classroom as quickly as possible. What a great first day; I'm already making enemies.

I stepped out of the classroom and turned my school map the other way. Next was orchestra class.
I've played cello since I'd been born, it felt, even though it has only been 11 years; I've played since I was 5. Everything in cello felt so natural and perfect, and the sound was almost like a human voice. I played whenever I felt lonely, or whenever I needed to release stress. While I was playing, it sort of feels like I'm floating away, not connected to anything.

I was excited to hear the orchestra play. My old school's orchestra wasn't very good, but I heard good things about this one.

I had been so busy studying my map, I bumped into a tall girl in a cream/white tank top. She turned around, looking a little stunned.

"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry!" I said.

She smiled and laughed a little. "No no no, it's okay! You're the new student, right?" She asked.
I nodded, smiling shyly.

"Oh, cool! I'm Anna. Where are you headed?"

"Orchestra."

"No way! Me too! What do you play?"

"Oh, haha! I'm a cellist."

"I'm a violinist. 2nd chair." She said, beginning to walk with me in what I guessed was the direction of the orchestra room. I walked next to her. "That's cool." I said. "If you need somewhere to sit at lunch, me and a group sit right by the G building. You're welcome to join us." She said sweetly. I smiled. "Really? Oh, thank you so much! That's so sweet of you!" She shurgged. "No problem."

I got my cello out of it's case, sitting down in front of a black stand and pulling out my endpin. A moment later, a black-haired boy dressed similar to Andy walked over and sat next to me. His cello was a dark brown, and his bow was a little dirty.

"Are you the mew cellist?" He asked.

I nodded, smiling as I tuned. "I'm Rose." I introduced.

"I'm Jinxx—er, Jeremy. Dr. Finigan hasn't shut up about you."

I smiled. "I hope that's a good thing."

As I played, I was quite happy with how my day was going. Despite a bit of controversy between me and the Andrew boy, everyone had been fairly welcoming to me. I even figured out Jeremy sat with Anna, which meant I had already built up a little friend circle.

The bell rang and I attended my remaining two classes before it was time for lunch. I pulled out the light blue colored school map, remembering Anna's invitation to the G building. Jeremy sat there too. It wasn't far from my 5th period class.

I turned the corner to see a group of kids, larger than I thought. Perhaps 30 or 49, actually. I searched the crowd for Anna, quickly finding her eating next to a tan, sunglass-wearing boy, Jeremy, and two others. I waved shyly.
"Oh! Guys! This is Rose!" Anna said to her group. I smiled slightly, and they all waved. "Rose, this is Ashley, CC, Jinxx, Jake, and...ugh, fuck, has anyone seen Andy?"

I wondered a moment if she was speaking about the same boy I'd met this morning. She got up and pushed on front of a few people. I sat down with the boys.

"Hey cutie." The boy who I believed was Ashley stated. I blushed what I could feel was a deep, dark red, and he laughed.

"Ooh, Anna brought her boyfriend." Jeremy said, sticking his tongue out playfully.

I looked up to see Anna standing next to a tall, black haired boy. Andy. Of course.

"What is she doing here?"
