The Order of the Black Veil

During the time of the First Century, The Great Mage Markesh sought to end the discord between mages and the folk who lived among them. Fighting brawn with brains and sheer love for mankind, Gideon Markesh indeed stopped the bane of what would have been a blow to all magic users everywhere.

In turn, in an attempt to join the brothers and sisters of the lands far and wide, he and his companions from all over the globe started the beginnings of what is now known as The Order of the Black Veil. Gideon was a proud man and even though he was usually humble and kept to himself, the mage began to take more and more pride in his accomplishments. Eventually, he thrived in them, basking in each one laced with adoration everywhere he went.

Before the time of the young men of which this tale is about, you need to know this great order's history, do you not?

As time went on, battle after battle, the men and women in the Order of the Black Veil were triumphant, slaying undead, demons, shades, and the like. Until a Pleasure Demon struck up a deal with Markesh, whose head was swollen by the fame and fortune he had acquire for the years he was the Alavardian Chapter head.

My ancestors have ruled over Alavardian for centuries, working side by side with our people and our neighboring countries. But one thing stopped us from true peace.

And that was the day our faithful chapter head, Sir Gideon Markesh, was transformed into what was known as the Great Demon. The Legion of the Dead, hailing from the deepest parts of Karridash, banished Gideon to a dark prison in the center of the world to cause no harm to the people. Or so they thought.

As I laying here on my death bed, I hear tell of my son reinstating the Order. The Order I had worked so hard to tear apart and scatter to ever reach of the world; the Order that began the Curse of Karridash; the Order that began the damnation of one, The Great Demon Markesh.

If anyone should find this, please; if my son is to lead and he reinstates the Order, advice him to hunt down these families: The Raven Purdy family, the Gaelan Biersack family, the Emali Coma family, the Charles Ferguson Family, and Tristana Pitts family. They hold the keep to our success; they are our answer to this eternal damnation we will endure.

Lydion, son of Alavardian, be strong and break free of the Grasp of the Netherrealm.

Fight to end the days of the Great Demon, and if you must do so...
