I woke up with a headache and my phone ringing.
“Hey Justine!” Jagger yelled.
“Quieter, please…” I said into the phone.
“Hung over aren’t you?” He asked.
“Yes, yes I am… so why did you call?” I asked.
“Well you were on a bus filled with guys, one being a pervert and I was just checking to see if you were still a virgin. And I’m your best friend!” He explained.
“I am, don’t worry… And do you know how long I’m going to be in California?” I asked seeing that none of the guys were awake yet.
“Uh… Hold on… BLADE!” He yelled. I groaned it hurt my head.
“Hey sis!” Blade said, “Uh… you are in California up until a week before the competition… and Jinxx is the one in charge of you, I made him responsible…”
“So I’m here for a month?” I asked, well almost shouted.
“Yup!” I heard Blade say.
“Good morning everyone!” CC yelled sitting up. Andy was still passed out on the floor and Jinxx and Jake woke up.
“Morning…” We all groaned back to him.
“Ashley and girl, get dressed! Justine is in the bunk above you! Have some dignity!” I heard Jake yell. I heard the guys shuffle around for a bit, I fell face first onto my pillow. Jinxx handed me a drink as he sat next to me on the bed.
“Seeing as I am in charge of you, I have to help cure your hang over. Now drink that whole thing.” He said as I sat back up. I took the drink; it was surprisingly good.
“So I am spending a month with you guys?” I questioned.
“Yeah. CC and Andy begged to have you stay for the whole month, it was supposed to be just a quick trip to the studios and back…” Jinxx said. I smiled to myself.
“I am glad your brother agreed!” He said lifting my chin up.
“Back to my house!” CC yelled. The bus started to move after the girl left. I looked through my bag to see what my brother packed. It was a lot of my favorite shirts and bathing suits, he knew me so well. Jinxx climbed off of my bed and CC replaced him.
“Hey Justine!” He looked a little bothered.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.
“Can I give you a nick name? Your name is just really long!” He answered smiling. I nodded my head as he went into deep thought. I zoned out.
“I have it!” He said after a while, “Jay!” I smiled I liked the sound of it, normally I’m called tiny or shorty.
“Jay it is!” I agreed. Now grab your favorite bathing suit, we are going swimming. I didn’t realize that we pulled up to his house. It was huge! He poked me.
“Close your mouth!”
“Sorry, houses aren’t this big where I come from!” I yelled in defense. I went into the bathroom and changed. When I came out I saw that CC was waiting for me in black trunks. He stopped me and started putting the grease paint on my wrists, and then he slid my bracelets back on. He proceeded to put on his cuffs. He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder.
“Put me down CC!”
“NO!”
“Let me go!”
“Never!”
“PLEASE?” I begged.
“Nope!”
“ Please put me down!” I heard giggling as I was pounding CC’s back.
“Fine!” He released me and I fell into the pool.
“Christian Mora! I am going to fucking kill you!” I yelled. It was one of the things I learned when we sat in a circle on the bus.
“Dude you better run, she used your full name!” Ashley yelled. I chased him around the back yard and tackled him to the ground. A water balloon hit my back. It was Andy and Jinxx! Ashley handed me and CC some water balloons and we got into a huge fight.
“Andy!” I heard a girl scream.
“Jinxx!” I heard another girl.
“Jay! Meet Sammi Doll and Juliet!” Andy said walking with Juliet over to me.
“Nice to meet you! Andy told me a lot of stories…” I said embarrassing her. Andy shot me a look that said don’t tell her anything.
“And this is my Sammi Doll!” Jinxx said as he dipped her into a long kiss. I was awkwardly standing there as Juliet walked up to me.
“I heard that you have a lot of talent!” She said.
“I mean playing any type of guitar is cool, but if Andy told you I could sing he’s a liar…” I said to her.
“Come on give yourself a break! Everyone you know thinks that you are an amazing singer, including me and the guys!” Andy argued. I felt someone pick me up and throw me over his or her shoulders.
“PUT ME DOWN!” I yelled.
“Never!” I heard Ashley cry.
“Seriously? This again?” I questioned.
“Yes!” He shouted as he threw me into the pool, “That is for not believing that you are a good singer!” CC and Jake reached their arms down to help me out of the pool.
“Ahhh!” CC yelled as he hit the water and some strange noise came from Jake. CC started a splash fight with me as Jake climbed out and shook his head like a wet dog. CC picked me up like he was a wrestler and threw me again into the water. Soon enough I heard everyone laughing. I swam under the water and grabbed CC’s feet and pulled him down. When he came back up he spit water everywhere. Ashley got onto the water slide and landed on my shoulders. I leaned back and dumped him into the pool. Soon enough everyone joined us in the pool, we didn’t realize that it was almost 5pm.
“We better get out and shower!” Ashley yelled.
“Sounds good to me!” Andy yelled. The guys all pushed each other upstairs.
“You’re really funny!” Sammi Doll said as we sat down.
“Thanks…” I said.
“I think that CC likes you!” Juliet some what yelled.
“No, he’s just really funny and nice…” I replied.
“But the way he looks at you!” Sammi stated.
“I don’t know…” I replied. We could hear the guys yelling at each other.
“I’m going in my shower!” CC yelled.
“I shot-“ Jinxx screamed.
“No! My-“ Andy screamed. And then there was a loud crash.
“See ya suckers!” I heard Ashley yell. And then we heard the groans of all of the guys. After 30 minutes and 2 showers the guys were done.
“Your turn!” CC yelled as he picked me up.
“Can I walk anywhere any more?” I questioned.
“Never!” He yelled, “So here’s my shower, shampoo and conditioner and everything is already in it. Turn that knob to turn it on, and that one to adjust temperature! Blow dryer is in that draw, and that’s it. Oh and no, there are no cameras in the bathroom- I am not Purdy perv!” He said skipping out of the bathroom.
“Juliet you can shower first.” I heard Sammi say. I started the shower laughing at the last thing that CC said. When I was done I dried off not bothering to use the blow dryer CC pointed out, and then I put on the set of pajamas that CC took from my bag. They were Spiderman. I walked downstairs. Andy was wearing Batman pajamas, Ashley was wearing zebra print boxers, Jinxx and Sammi were matching with black zombie pajamas, Jake was wearing guitar printed boxers, CC was wearing black boxers with fire print on the bottom, and Juliet was wearing a cheetah print onesie.
“Ashley start the BBQ!” Andy shouted his eyes glued to the TV screen, Batman was on and Juliet was watching it with him. I started to smell bacon, so I ran outside.
“Ashley I love you!” I yelled jumping on his back as he handed me some bacon.
“Your welcome!” He said back. I helped him flip some burgers and make bacon. The bacon was for Andy and me.
“Guys! The food is ready!” I yelled. Andy and I sat across from each other with mounds of bacon.
“Hands off!” I shouted when CC tried to take my bacon.
“Ouch! That hurt!” He yelped shaking his hand.
“What would make this better? Jay?” Andy asked me. I shrugged and he tossed me a box. I opened it and it was Kraft singles!
“Thank you!” I yelled as I shoved the cheese and bacon into my mouth. Andy had his own thing of cheese and did the same thing.
“Are we sure that they aren’t related?” Jinxx asked. Andy and I nodded. When we were done eating I helped CC bring the plates in along with Juliet and Sammi.
“Can we play Rock Band?” Juliet asked.
“Yes!” CC yelled as he ran to get the guys. We set it up as team against team.
“I shot being a team captain!” Juliet yelled.
“I shot being the other one!” Andy yelled.
“Flip a coin to see who chooses first!” Jake yelled. It landed on heads so Andy got first pick.
“Are we going in like instrument order or something?” Andy asked.
“Choose a guitar player first!” Juliet said.
“Jinxx!” Andy said as he smirked at Sammi.
“Ashley!” Juliet chose as she smirked at Andy.
“But he’s a bass guitarist!” He whined.
“I said guitarist, he fits the description!” She shouted back.
“Wait but we only have one drummer!” Sammi realized.
“Jay! My team!” Andy yelled as he handed me the drumsticks.
“CC!” Juliet yelled.
“Jake!” Andy yelled.
“Sammi Doll!” Juliet yelled.
“We all knew I was going to be on your team anyways!” Sammi yelled.
“Roxanne!” Juliet yelled.
“Fine but I get next pick!” Andy yelled back. We played the song and had a lot of fun.
“Not fair! You sung that on The Voice!” Andy whined.
“But you’re a rock star!” Juliet argued.
“Detroit Rock City!” Andy screamed. We played it and this time Andy won.
“1 to 1! Next pick goes to…” Jinxx looked around.
“Jay!” Ashley screamed. All eyes were on me.
“Here I Go Again?” I shrugged. They agreed and we played and Andy won again.
“I want to go against Jay!” Andy yelled. Juliet took over the drums and we scrolled through the songs.
“Wanted Dead or Alive!” CC yelled. This time I won. We played until almost midnight.
“Can we make s’mores?” Jake asked. We all ran outside to the fire pit as CC brought out the graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows. He sat down on my lap.
“CC! Get off!” All of the guys were laughing.
“No!” He yelled.
“Why not?” I asked.
“There’s no other chairs!” He whined.
“I can move over you know?” I told him. CC stood up and I made room for him. Everyone was still laughing. We made s’mores and Juliet shoved one in Andy’s face.
“Come on! I actually showered!”
“Here you go!” Ashley said tossing him a water bottle and a towel. Andy wiped his face off. Jinxx and Sammi fell asleep on each other.
“Aw! Aren’t the two love birds adorable?” Jake asked.
“It’s cold out…” Ashley said as he walked inside. Juliet was asleep on Andy, he carried her inside bridal style and sat with her on the couch. Eventually CC and I were the only people awake.
“Do you want to sleep on the tour bus or in a bed?” He asked me.
“Bed…” I answered. I followed him upstairs to the spare rooms.
“Here you go!” He said pointing to a green room.
“Wait CC! Stay a little bit? I’m not tired!” I pleaded. He sat down next to me on the bed.
“What do you want to do?” He asked.
“I want to read some of the Andley fan fictions that Andy and Ashley told me about!” We laughed and went online.
“These are hilarious!” CC yelled. We laughed at some of the most ridiculous things. One was about how they were drunk and got married, but they both really did love each other. And they took some of the things that actually happened and twisted them to make them “Andley” stories. I fell asleep on CC when we were reading a story.
