We started walking back to the park. I half expected to find them laying naked there, I mean it’s Niki… oh and Ashley…
“Wait, we were here last night… Why isn’t Ash here naked? Like sleeping with Niki?” Matt yelled.
“I was thinking the exact same thing…” I answered. CC gave me a strange look.
“Niki is our ‘Purdy’ as you may say…” Blade explained.
“No wonder why we think they make a fucking perfect couple!” Sammi yelled.
“Guys… this city is huge. We have no clue where they are, they won’t answer their phones…” Jinxx put us back onto the path.
“I know a guy!” Andy yelled at the top of his lungs. I swear the birds freaked out and that’s why the chirping grew louder as they flew away. I was thrown over CC’s shoulder as he followed Andy.
“Ouch! CC! Put! Me! Down! I! Will! Fucking! Pull! Your! Pants! Down!” I yelled bouncing on his back.
“Go ahead!” He started skipping, so that’s what I did. I pulled his fucking pants down, “Yay! I’m free! My legs are free!” I face palmed when he put me down.
“Um, CC?” Jake said.
“Yup?”
“We’re in public…” Jinxx finished.
“So?” Jinxx shook his head in the disapproving father way.
“Guys! Come on!” Andy grew impatient. We followed him inside.
“ADAM!” Juliet, Matt, and Andy yelled.
“My little misfits!” The guy named Adam yelled running over to them. The building was a club. Old stools, run down bar, huge pit area with a big stage, it was great.
“How’s life?” Andy asked.
“Pretty good, business is booming. What about you?”
“I’m in a fucking band, you know them!” Andy said.
“Of course I do! You all roam in here after concerts, plus I store your extra instruments!”
“I have a girlfriend!” CC jumped up and down like a little boy.
“Who?” Adam asked almost like he thought CC was joking.
“This is my Minnie Mouse!” CC picked me up bridal style and I laughed.
“Like the Disney mouse that creeps the fuck outta me?” Adam asked.
“I guess that’s the one…” I giggled.
“Jinxx, Sammi! How’s the marriage going?”
“Pretty well, how’s the 5th wife?” Sammi asked.
“Eh, things didn’t work out…” After a while of catching up Jake was in the middle of a story… “Purdy!” Andy yelled.
“What?” We all asked in confusion.
“Purdy and Niki! We came here to see if you knew where they went!” He explained.
“Oh yeah…” I awed.
“Such a great best friend you are…” Jagger poked me.
“Hey you forgot also!” CC defended me.
“Oh! Ash and his girlfriend! They came in here last night. I showed Niki the instrument room, Ash had her play some songs…”
“Let me guess, she used the Schecter Sixx Bass and played Girls, Girls, Girls?” Blade asked.
“Right on target! They left when it started to rain and that’s all I got.” Adam offered.
“Thanks Adam!” Juliet said.
“Thanks!” The guys said.
“Nice meeting you!” I yelled as I walked out the door.
“You too Minnie Mouse!” He yelled back.
“Okay guys think! Where the fuck would Ash and Niki go?” Matt yelled.
“Ash would try to bring her either back to the hotel, or to a motel if one was closer…” Jinxx pointed out.
“It started raining around 10, that’s when they left the club… Niki wouldn’t want to go back to a hotel just yet…” I offered.
“Didn’t she say that she wanted to see a movie?” Jagger asked.
“Yeah, all week she’s been nudging us to go!” Blade yelled.
“Look for movie theaters with motels next door…” Jagger said.
“There are 2,000 in this city…” Jake said looking up from his phone.
“How many are close to the park?” Andy asked.
“30 in a 10 mile radius…” He said again.
“Which ones are playing Mama, Movie 43, and Zero Dark Thirty?” Matt asked.
“10 of them.”
“Which ones had movies running around 10:30 to 11:00 pm last night?” Juliet asked.
“Only one…” Jake said. He gave us the address and we ran there.
“Excuse me did you have a guest check in like really early this morning named Ashley Purdy or Niki Valentino?” Blade asked the man at the desk.
“Um…” He flipped through the pages. This is such a fucking nice motel, like really nice. I would give it 5 stars if I was a review person… “No, but there was a Niki Purdy?” The man asked.
“That would be them, do you know where they went?” CC shouted.
“Well the man said he was going to look for his friends if that helps you at all…” This guys voice was fucking annoying! It was monotone.
“Well that doesn’t help us, we are his friends!” Juliet yelled.
“That young lady said something about breakfast at the hotel…” An old maid spoke up. We all jumped.
“When did she-“ Jagger flipped out.
“I was here the whole time!” She answered.
“Back to the hotel!” I yelled. We walked a few blocks and turned the corner.
“I’ll try his phone again…” Jinxx dialed Ashley, “Dude what the fuck?” He yelled
“What?” Ashley said on the other line.
“Where were you all night?” Jinxx sounded like a father at this point.
“Well I brought Niki to Adam’s club, then we saw Mama, and then we had a little fun if you know what I mean…” He said back.
“We didn’t need to know that part!” Jagger yelled.
“Too bad!” Ashley yelled back.
“Any ways, where the fuck are you?” Jake grabbed the phone from Jinxx.
“ON TOP OF THE WORLD!” I heard Niki yell, there was some giggling involved.
“Guys, Ashley hung up on me…”
