No One Does It Better

"Ashley..." I muttered, stepping away from him. He held onto my waist, and I looked up at him.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"I'll be right back. Need to hit the lady's room," I said. Ashley nodded and smiled at me. I rushed off into the gym, and I wove around people as I tried to find Ben. I spotted him dancing with a girl, and I caught his eye. I waved him over to me, and he approached me quickly. I pulled him outside using another door, and I lead him towards the bathrooms.

"What?" He asked.

"Thank you. I really appreciate what you did for me," I said softly. He smiled.

"Getting Ashley here wasn't as easy as you may think. I had to beg the ladies in the office to give me two slips to get you guys in. And then I had to beg Ashley to go, which he didn't want to do until I told him that you still love him. Audrey, I did this for you so you'd be happy with him instead of miserable with me," Ben said. I tucked my hair behind my ears and I smiled up at him.

"I need to talk to Andy. Sort some things out. Do you mind if I leave with Ashley? I know you wanted to spend tonight with me," I said. Ben shook his head.

"Get out of here. You need him more than you need me. I don't mind," Ben said.

"You're still my best friend. I'll see you later," I said. He nodded, and he headed back inside to dance. I returned to Ashley, and I took his hand, lacing my fingers through his.

"Let's go. We have some things to sort out," I said, and Ashley nodded.

"You're right. Where do we need to go?" He asked.

"We need to talk to Andy. He needs to know that we love each other, and we want to be together, and that I'm staying in Los Angeles with you," I said. Ashley's eyes widened as we headed for the parking lot.

"Seriously? With me? At my place?" Ashley asked. I smiled and nodded.

"Yes, baby. At your place. Now let's go!" I exclaimed.

We arrived at Andy's house quickly. I was ready to make the commitment and move in with Ashley, like I had wanted to do before. I couldn't live in Citrus Heights. I couldn't live so far away from all the guys I had grown up with; all the guys who had helped take care of me, and the guy I couldn't stop thinking about day in and day out. I was meant to live in Los Angeles with Ashley Purdy, celebrating birthdays, Christmas, Halloween, and Thanksgiving with him and the guys. It was where I truly belonged.

"You ready, Audrey?" Ashley asked. I nodded and knocked on the door, standing there shivering in my dress. Ashley removed his jacket, and he placed it over my shoulders. I leaned into him, and I sighed as the door was pulled open. I looked at my cousin.

"Audrey? Ash? What.. what are you doing here? I thought she was at a dance, and I thought you were at home," Andy said. I shook my head and smiled.

"We'd like to ask you... are we okay to be together? I know things have been hectic lately, but I'm willing to throw that all down the drain," I said hopefully. Andy smiled just as it started raining.

"Come on in. We can discuss it inside," he said. We followed him into the living room, and we all sat down.

"So, you're willing to let it all go? All the... the recent bullshit?" Andy asked.

"Yes. I am. All I want is to be with Ashley, and we want to live together," I said. Ashley wrapped an arm around my waist, and he pulled me close.

"Okay," Andy said with a smile.

"What? Really?" I asked. Andy nodded.

"Of course. I can see that you guys love each other. So, I've been thinking that maybe it's the right thing to do. And, I give you my blessing," Andy said. I furrowed my eyebrows together.

"What?" I asked. I turned to Ashley, and I watched as he pulled a beautiful ring out of his pocket.

"I was waiting for the right moment. My plan was to win you back somehow and propose somewhere beautiful, but this is just as amazing. Audrey, will you marry me?" Ashley asked. I looked at Andy in shock.

"Did you know about this?" I asked him, and he nodded with a smile on his lips. I looked back at Ashley who had an eager look on his face.

"I mean, I could get on one knee if that'll make you say yes," he said, and I smiled. He moved to the floor, but I stopped him.

"Yes," I said, and Ashley grinned. He slipped the ring on my finger, and he pressed a soft kiss onto my lips as my eyes filled with warm tears.

"I love you," I said through my tears after the kiss. Ashley smiled.

"I love you too. And I can't wait to marry you," he said. I looked at Andy, and Juliet entered the living room in her pajamas.

"This is a pleasant surprise," she said as she approached Andy.

"Yeah it is," Andy said. I smiled and looked at Ashley.

"We should probably go. It's getting late," Ashley said. He helped me up, and he pulled me into his arms to press a kiss onto my lips, and I placed my hands on either side of his face.

"Will we see you guys tomorrow?" Andy asked, and we broke apart.

"More than likely," Ashley said. He nodded and walked us to the door, closing it behind us.

"Babe, do you need clothes?" Ashley asked when we pulled up into the driveway.

"Yeah. The clothes that I packed are at Ben's, so we could go get them tomorrow," I said as we got out of the car. Ash approached me, and he placed an arm around my waist.

"Welcome home, darling," he said. I smiled wide and pecked his lips.

"It's good to be home," I said. Ashley lead me inside where we took a shower and got ready for bed. He gave me a shirt to wear, and I pulled it over my head.

"I can't believe we're engaged. This is amazing," I said as I flopped onto the bed.

"I agree," Ashley said as he removed his phone from his discarded pants pocket.

"Can I use your phone to call CC? We kind of talked about you earlier, and I just want to tell him something," I said. Ashley nodded and tossed me his phone, and I dialed the drummer's number.

"Sup Ash. It's kind of late, dude," he said. I smiled.

"It's Audrey. I just wanted to tell you that Ash and I are back together," I said.

"Oh my god, really?" CC asked.

"Yes," I said happily.

"That's amazing! Do you mind if I go back to bed? I'm tired. But I'll see you tomorrow, right?"

"Definitely." CC hung up, and I gave Ashley his phone back.

"Ready for bed?" Ashley asked as he pulled on a pair of basketball shorts. I nodded, and he slid into bed next to me. He kissed me softly, and turned out the light, and I cuddled up next to him.

Hey hey hey babes! I'm back! I promise I won't delete it.

So, someone wanted me to go over chapter thirty-seven because they didn't get to read it.

So what basically happened was Audrey and CC hung out and talked about Ben and Ashley. They talked about Audrey's and Ben's fight, and how Audrey was still in love with Ashley. Then there was a bit where Audrey and Ben were at the dance, and he surprised Audrey by showing up with Ashley. Long story short, Ben and Audrey broke up, and her and Ashley got back together. The it ended.
