No One Does It Better

Chapter Fifty-Three

Finally the day had arrived. April fifteenth, 2016.

Today was mine and Ashley's wedding, and I couldn't be more excited. Juliet and Ella were my bridesmaids, of course, how couldn't they be? And little Anne Marie was the flower girl. Noah and Matthew were both going to bear the rings.

I was all ready to go, nerves eating me alive as Andy and Juliet were the first people to walk down the aisle after Anne Marie. They'd rekindled their relationship, deciding that marriage could wait, and they were taking it slow... for now.

Jake and Ella went next, followed by CC and Jinxx. I looked over at my dad, watching as he smiled wide at me.

"I'm so proud of you, sweetheart," he said softly, and my eyes brimmed with warm tears.

"Don't cry don't cry don't cry,"I muttered to myself as I fanned my face with my hands. My dad chuckled and wrapped an arm around my middle as the music played, signaling it was time to go.

"I love you, dad," I said.

"I love you too, Audrey," he said as the doors opened, revealing the room filled with friends and family, even people I didn't even know. My dad and I walked, my legs becoming shaky, and it was hard for me to keep my balance. I trained my eyes on Ashley who was up their waiting for me. Ashley, the love of my life, and I was marrying him today.

My dad and I reached the altar, Mr hugging him tightly before he handed me off to Ashley, who took my hands in his, squeezing them tightly.

"Hi," I said, smiling and probably blushing like crazy.

"Hi," Ashley said with a small laugh, and I swear I was falling more and more in love with him by the second.

When it was time for the vows and exchanging of rings, I was sort of crying. It was touching. Don't judge.

"Audrey... I vow to always love you and believe in you. We've gone through so much together already, and I wouldn't exchange that for anything. What we've been through has only brought us closer together, and damnit baby... I love you," Ashley said. I looked down at my feet before letting out a small, quiet sob. I looked back up at him, and he wiped my tears away with his thumbs, bringing a huge smile to my lips.

"Ashley, I vow to always love you as well. I really love you, you know. And our age gap is nothing. It doesn't define who we are as a couple, and yes... all the things we've been through was tough. I could recite all the reasons why I love you, but it would take too long. Ashley, you are the love of my life," I said. I smiled up at him.

"Ashley Purdy, do you take Audrey to be your lawfully wedded wife, in sickness and in health?"

"I do," Ashley said, and he grabbed my ring from the pillow Noah and Matthew were supporting, and he slipped it on my finger.

"Audrey Biggs, do you take Ashley to be your lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and in health?"

"I do," I said happily, taking his ring and sliding it on his finger.

"Then I now pronounce you, man and wife. Ashley, you may kiss your bride." Ashley pulled me into him, and I wrapped my arms around his neck as he pressed his lips against mine. The room erupted into applause and cheering, and I smiled into the kiss. Ashley pulled away, and he lingered before pressing a quick kiss against my lips, and he laced his fingers through my own, gripping my hand tightly.

I couldn't believe it. We were finally married.

Notes

Sorry to end it on such short notice! I just wanted to get it over with. I'm not the biggest fan of this fic as I was with my last two (which, might I add, aren't very good). So, I hope everyone enjoyed! :)
