Escaping Grace

dammit, leave it to CCs girlfriend to interrupt, I thought as I watched Leah rush after her.
And just when things were getting good.
I grimaced, and ran a hand through my hair. I knew I shouldn't mess around with her, not with her band performing with us. But I couldn't stop myself.
There was just something about her that drew me in. Maybe it was the haunted look in her eyes, the way she tried to keep everyone at a distance yet wanted them to be so close.
Fuck, maybe I just wanted to sleep with her again because last time was a haze, I dont know.
I started back to our dressingroom, seeing the guys all getting our stuff packed up. Ashley was gone, and I could hear giggles echoing down the hallway which told me where he was.
"You have lipstick on," CC said, and I hastily wiped it off. He looked like he wanted to say something else, but instead turned away. He stepped out into thd hall, and I could hear Vale from here; she was pissed.
"Andy," Jinxx was getting his chastising stance on.
"Yes, Mom, I know. Don't mess around with the neighbor girl."
Jinxx frowned at me. "At least not while they're opening for us."
"What is the big deal?" I asked, shaking my head. "Look, Leah seems nice and all, and I know CC and the guitarist are getting on well ---."
"Spare me," I interrupted. "I get it. I won't fuck it up. We're just gonna be friends."
Jinxx glanced at the yelling coming from the hall. "I don't think that's going to be easy," he commented, and Jake snorted.
"Ella gets like that. Maybe she's on the rag?" he suggested.
"I AM NOT!" we all jerked, seeing Vale in the doorway. CC was clinging to her arm, trying to pull her out. "Vale! " he insisted. Dear God how did he stand her? I wondered in annoyance.
She was loud, obnoxious, stubborn --- kind of like a female Ashley. I snorted.
"Vale, we're leaving." I looked back as I heard Leahs voice from the hallway. "and if you don't stop screaming and ranting so help me I'll leave you here and not cook for two weeks!"
Vale turned immediately.
I think Leah just saved my life.
