Scarlet's POV

(Time Shift: The Weekend Of The Dinner)

"Mom! I can't find my red dress!" Amy yells. I sigh, walk into her room and go through her closet. I find the dress and throw it at her. "Oh thanks mom." I roll my eyes and walk over to Johnnie's room.

"You ready to go?" I ask.

"I thought you said you were going to tell dad soon." Johnnie says.

"I am, I just want you guys to get to know Andy better, and plus dad hasn't been around long enough for me to talk to him." He nods. I walk downstairs and answer the knocking at my door. "Alex, you're back?" I ask.

"Yeah, I realized that I don't spend enough time with you and the kids so I thought I'd stay home. You look pretty dressed up, what's the occasion?" He asks.

"Going out to dinner with my aunt, she's just dying to see the kids."

"Didn't she destroy our cake at our wedding?"

"Accidentally, she was drunk and tipsy. I'll take that as you're not interested?"

"Not whatsoever, sorry."

"No don't say sorry, go do something fun okay?"

"I'll still be here when you get back." He kisses my cheek and goes upstairs. I sigh and go out to sit on the porch swing. I just need a second alone with Alex to break the news. Wait, where are we going to live? Can't stay at this house, it's his. Andy's apartment is tiny. Ugh have to get looking for a new place to live too. Amy walks out and sits next to me.

"So dad's home?" She asks.

"Yeah, but Andy's still coming with us." I tell her.

"Are we going to move in with my real dad?"

"Yes, soon I hope. But we both have to get divorced, meaning I have to find a way to break the news. Any suggestions?"

"Friday after school, take him to the place where you two met when dad started to get to know you. Tell him there."

"So at my old locker, okay thanks kids."

"Since I helped you, can I dye my hair red?"

"I'll think about it... But it's most likely to be a yes if you go tell Andy we'll be there in a sec." I say pointing to his car pulling up. She nods and walks over to him. I go back inside to get Johnnie. "Johnnie, what's the hold up?" I ask.

He walks downstairs and stops in front of me. "I'm trying to think of a way to ask Jess to go to the fall formal with me." He says.

"Well when's the dance?"

"Friday night, I really like her mom."

"Has she ever seen you play guitar?" He shakes his head. "Serenade her or something, then ask. Trust me kid, she's gonna say yes." He smiles and we walk out of the house. I smile when I see Amy and Andy talking.

"Hey Johnnie, hey Scar." Andy says. I kiss his cheek.

"Okay let's go." I say. Andy drives us there and when we park I stop everyone from getting out of the car. "Okay, my dad's going to ask all of you questions that you'll probably not going to want to answer, but you're not going to have a choice." I start.

"You're talking as if they've never met your dad." Andy says.

"They kind of haven't. When I had them I never brought them around, except once when they were maybe three. Anyhow, he's a British asshole, but he means a lot to me. He's the only person I've ever truly trusted with my life, and obviously you guys aren't going to feel that way. Also he has this new girlfriend, I haven't met her but guys just be on your best behaviour." They all nod. "Okay, let's get this over with." We walk up to the door and ring the doorbell.

"Scar you're shaking like on the first day we met." Andy says.

"Just really nervous." I say. The door opens up with my dad greeting us. He swoops me up in a hug.

"Scarlet, to be honest I missed you." He says.

"Gosh how long has it been?" I ask.

"Way too long, everyone come in." He says. We all sit in the living room. "So I see you're back with Andrew." He starts.

"It's kinda complicated." I say.

"It's not that complicated, you brought him instead of your husband, if he still is your husband." Blake says taking a sip of his scotch. And here we go.

"Yes Alex still is my husband, and yes Andy is my boyfriend, but I'm getting a divorce soon." I say sitting back in the love seat.

"Blake have they already arrived?" I hear a woman yell.

"Yes love, you coming down?" He yells back.

"Just a sec!" She says.

"So what's your names?" Blake asks the kids.

"Johnnie."

"Amy."

"Sorry, I would have remembered if your mum had brought you two around more, or at all." Blake says.

"Yes well I've been busy." I say.

"With what exactly? Your career? You're a lyricist for one band, you only make about a dozen songs a year and spend the rest of your time as a stay at home mom." He says. He's really starting to piss me off. "And what do you do Andrew?"

"I used to be lead singer of my band Black Veil Brides, a heavy rock band. But now I'm teaching music at the high school." Andy says putting his arm around me.

"First an English teacher and now a music teacher, Scar you don't have a type at all." Blake says, he's really looking to make me mad.

"Hi everyone!" I turn around to see Juliet. Her smile disappears when she see Andy and me. "This is your daughter and grand children?" She asks sitting on his lap.

"Yes Scarlet meet-" I cut Blake off.

"Juliet Simms, former lead singer of Automatic Loveletter, and the girl wrongly accused of killing my parents. I'm sorry you had to go to prison." She nods.

"Hello Dragonfly, we meet again. Have you thought about signing the-" she cuts Andy off.

"Label, yeah I did. I can get you the documents later." She says. Bet she's trying to cover her ass.

"Jules this is Amy and Johnnie." Blake introduces.

"Hi it's nice to meet you." She says shaking their hands.

"Can I get you to autograph my guitar some time, I've listened to you since I was a baby." Amy says. Juliet smirks.

"Scar I don't think your children could be anymore like you. Of course hun." She says.

"I suppose we should start dinner, shall we?" Blake asks.

We all nod and head to the dining room. We sit and eat steak and mashed potatoes. I see in glimpses the death stare Juliet has on Andy and the smirk on his face. After dinner, Blake takes the kids up to his office to get to know them. Leaving Juliet, Andy and me.

"Juliet I'm so sorry that you had to go to-" I get cut off.

"Scar, I know it wasn't your fault, it's his." She says glaring at Andy.

"Well I wasn't going to have my life thrown away, so of course I blamed you." Andy states.

"Why me Andy, I loved you." She says.

"Then why did you go behind my back and fuck Jinxx?" He asks.

"I didn't fuck Jinxx, I fucked Ashley and I was drunk. It was a mistake, who told you I fucked Jinxx?"

"Ash lied to me, said you were having an affair with Jinxx all along."

"Well I wasn't. And what about you? You don't think that I knew you were fooling around with Scar?" She asks so hurt.

"I'm sorry, I was just so hurt and after I got to know Scarlet, I fell for her." He says putting a smile on my face.

"Okay I'll sign the papers, I just need a minute with Scar, if you don't mind?" She asks me, I nod. I walk into their bedroom with her as she reveals the documents.

"Why such a change of heart?" I ask.

"Now I don't care whether he's going to end up happy or not, I just want to live my life away from him. He's like meth, at first a lovely escape but soon becomes a poison to kill. I want to be happy with Blake and I can only do that if I get him out of my life." She says handing me the paper.

"But technically he still will be in your life."

"But more in yours. Scar he is a danger to you and your kids, I know you think you love him but in the end he'll only kill you and them. Think of what's best for your children before you." I nod. "Okay I'm going go to sleep so you take the papers down to him." I nod and return downstairs. I hand the papers to Andy.

What if she's right? What if he kills me in the end? Or Johnnie and Amy? Should I risk it?
