Stupid stupid stupid! I cut deeper and deeper with each word. "Laci." Andy says through the door. "Laci are you okay? Open the door." I ignore him. "Laci!' his voice gets an edge to it reminding me of Aiden ans Ashley. This makes me cry harder, and cut more. "Laci open the fucking door!"

"Go away!" My voice cracks.

"Not until you let me in."

"Please just leave me alone!" I scream.

"That's it, I'm breaking down the door." He starts slamming into the door so hard it shakes. He's not going to get through. After a few more attempts he stops. I hear footsteps walk away. Good, just leave me here to die. I hear footsteps coming toward the door. What's he doing? The door starts shaking again. I hear something clatter to the floor, and the door opens. Andy throws the hockey stick he was holding down, and runs over to me. "Hey. Laci look at me." he says firmly. He puts his thumb under my chin, and pushes my face up. "No more of this okay? Okay?" He looks at me with those piercing blue eyes of his. I nod. "Promise me." His voice is gentler now." I nod again. "Say it out loud."

I swallow. "I promise." I squeak.

His fingers find the blade in my left hand, and take it from me. "Come on let's get you cleaned up. I assume you have a first aid kit in here."

"It's under the sink." I stammer.

He leans over and opens the cabinet door, keeping one hand in my left. He opens up the red bag and pulls out rubbing alcohol. "This is going to hurt a bit." He rubs a cotton ball on my right wrist and I hiss. "Sorry." He grabs another cotton ball and does the same to both of my thighs. He then wraps bandages around the cuts. "Okay time to talk. Spill it."

"Do I have to?"

"Yes." He nods.

"Are you sure?"

"Tum." He says firmly.

"Fine." I take a deep breath. "Ashley and I got in a fight."

"And?" He tenses up.

"And he basically told me that I was fat and I deserved to go die."

"I'm going to kill that bastard."

"Yeah get in line."

"Don't listen to anything anyone has to say except for this. Are you listening?" I nod. "You are amazing. Honestly I have never met someone who can do what you do as well as you do. You are so kind to everyone even when they don't deserve it. You've got one of the most beautiful voice I've ever heard. You're a great friend, you put others before yourself all the time. I don't think you have a selfish bone in your body." He pokes my stomach, earning him a small giggle. "Lace, I've only known you for a short amount of time, but you're one of my best friends. I mean who else would watch ten straight hours of batman with me?" He smiles. "But seriously, you're one of the most beautiful people I've ever met. Inside and out, and I'm honored to know you."He finishes his speech by kissing my forehead. We stay like this for a little while.

"Andy?" I ask softly.

"Yeah Tum?"

"Can I go to bed?" The crying and loss of blood has made me exhausted.

"Yeah sure. Do you want me to stay with you?" I nod. "Alright then." He smiles. Andy carries me to my bed bridal style. I see the crushed door handle lying on the floor. Andy pulls the blankets over us. I nuzzle into his chest and drift off to sleep.
