Once he caught his breath, Ashley turned off the water, and carried me to the bed. "You told me that you didn't scream, but you we definitely screaming tonight." He smirks.
"Oh please, that was not screaming. You would know if I did."
"Has anyone ever made you scream?"
In pain? Yes. In fear? Yes. "Nope, the title has yet to be claimed." I laugh.
"It won't stay that way for long." He sings. We talk for a little while longer before we drift off to sleep.

Flashback:
"That was a really good book." I sigh. I look out my bedrom wimdow. It's night time but thanks to our yard lights I can look at the beautiful, snow covered trees. I see headlights come up the drive way. I wonder who that could be. Stephen is on tour, and Uncle Derek, Mark, and Greg are away on buisness. I see Aiden's car emerge from the tree line. My heart skips a beat. I run down the stairs and outside.
"Aiden!" I exclaim as I hug him. Something feels wrong...
"Ugh get off me you piece of shit!" He pushes me away.
"Babe what's wrong?"
"You! You are what's wrong!" He exclaims. What did I do? "You're so fuckimg usless I hate you!"
"Aide-"
"Shut the fuck up!" His hand connects with my face, making my eyes water. "You ruin my life!" This time it's his fist. It hits the same spot and I cry out. Big mistake. "I told you to shut the fuck up!" He throws me onto the pavement and kicks me in the ribs. I hear a crack, and searing pain follows it. I do my best to sheild myself but it doesn't work very well. "Piece of shit." He spits on me, gets in his car, and drives away leaving me cold and broken again. End

Ashley pov.
Tonight was amazing. There is definitely something different about Laci. She just makes me feel so.. so alive. She drove me over the edge two nights in a row. We talked for a while until she fell asleep against my chest. It's definitively a nice feeling...

I'm jolted awake. Laci is thrashing and crying. "Shh..shh..it's okay." I stroke her hair. She starts to thrash more. What is going on? What do I do?! Calm down Ash. She is probably having a nightmare. Wake her up and everything will go away.

I roll us over so I am straddling her. I squeeze her legs together so she can't kick, and I hold her hands above her head.
"No! No!" She whisper yells.
"Laci darling wake up." Her head i jerking from side to side like she is trying to shake out the thoughts.

Just then her eyes snap open, but instead of being in their usual relaxed state, they are panicked, darting back and forth. I think she is having a panic attack. I loosen my hold on her, and she folds in on herself. Her cries turn to sobs, and she is shaking violently.

I pull her into my chest and whisper soothing things, but they don't seem to be helping. I sit us both up and rock her back and forth. She cries into the crook of my neck, and clutches the other side tightly. This is breaking my heart. I've never seen anyone cry like this before. I wonder what she was dreaming about. Her breathing slows and her sobs slowly stop. "Hey Rose, you okay." I say gently. She nods, not letting go of my neck. "Are you sure?" She nods again. Obvioisly she's really shaken up but I won't push her. I continue to rub her back and rock her. She plays with my hair and traces patterns on my chest.
"Sing." She said so softly that I wasn't sure she said anything, but i saw her look at me with those beautiful, green, now blood shot eyes. She looked at me with anticipation. I sang her savior, and a lullaby that my Grandma sang to me when I was little and she was out again. Her face wasn't peaceful like the first night I slept with her in her appartment, now it's crinkled with worry. "I'll protect you my beautiful Irish rose." I whisper in her ear.
