Ashley pov

There's a soft knock on the door. "Is everything okay?" My grandma says as she pokes her head through the door.

"Yeah... She just has night terrors every now and then." I say with a shaky voice.

"Oh the poor thing. Are you alright Ash?"

"Yeah I'm fine." I lie.

"Ash.." I can feel her look through the darkness.

"It just really scares me you know. I have no idea about what she is going through in these dreams, but I know it hurts her." I look down at her face. It's crinkled with worry. "And sometimes I'm afraid that I won't be able to wake her up, or she won't come back." I continue to draw circles on her back, and play with her hair.

"Aw Ashley. She will bounce back. I haven't known her for very long, but I can tell you that she's a strong, resilient young woman. Don't worry, I have a feeling that she will always come back, to you at least. Pleasant dreams sweetheart." And with that she leaves.

Lyn's pov

"Jarod." I whisper yell. "Jarod wake up." I shake my husband's sleeping form.

"What.." He grumbles.

"It's finally happened!"

"What's happened?"

"Ashley's finally found the one!" I'm practically jumping up and down.

"Now Lyn.."

"Don't now Lyn me, you should have heard him! He was all like I'm afraid that she won't come back to me, and I won't be able to protect her, and oh you should have seen the way he was looking at her." I sigh.

"You sound like a teenage girl." He chuckles.

"Oh hush you." I smile and crawl back into bed.

Ashley pov

"But Mr Cat, I can't be late for dinner.." Laci mumbles in her sleep. It's so freaking cute! "But we're having mashed potatoes.." I chuckle a little,and do my best to keep my chest still. "Well I do like candy..." Oh my God is she getting lured into a white van in her dream?!?! What the fuck is going on? Sometimes I swear she is on acid. "But then Ashley would miss me.." I'm tempted to talk to her, but I'm afraid she would wake up. "I love him so much.." She sighs. Wait what? Did she just say that she loves me? My heart flutters. "Thank you. Good bye.." She mutters. Did I hear that right? I feel her shift a little. "Ashley?"

"Yes Rose?" I ask gently.

"I'm cold."

"You're cold? Do you want me to get a blanket?" She nods. I gently start to move her.

"No don't leave me!" She groans.

"Well how am I supposed to get another blanket?" I ask.

"Carry me with you..."

"Okay Rose." I chuckle. I sit up, and bring her with me. "Can I have a hug?" She nods, and wraps her arms around my neck. I stand up, and place her legs on either side of my torso. I walk down the hall to the closet with extra blankets in it, and listen to her mumble about food. Oh my God she is so freaking adorable. I love her so much. I let go of one of her legs, grab a blanket, and walk back to my room. I unwrap her legs so I don't lay on them, and lay back down.

"I love you Ashley." She mutters. My heart speeds up again.

"I love you too Rose." I kiss her head and pull her tighter to my chest. I'm never letting her go.
