I spin around the foyer and stare up at the chandelier. I love my house. Wait hoe did I get in my house? I t burned down years ago... Oh shit. It burned down nine years ago. You're in a nightmare. Wake up! Wake up! I walk up the stairs. No, no, no, Lace wake up now! I hear a blood curdling scream that belongs to my mother. No not again. "Mom!" I start running up the stairs, and her screams continue. "Mommy!" I take the stairs two at a time. Laci wake up! Out of nowhere I am falling. Wake UP! When I land I hit something hard and hot. Really hot.

"Laci darling why did you leave me to die?" Please wake up. "Why would you do that? Don't you love me?" My mother's figure appears in front of me, except something isn't right. All of a sudden she bursts into flames. Please please please wake up! "Help me Lci! Please help me!" She cries and walks toward me. No no no please go away! Laci Wake up now!!

Ashley pov

"What?" I groan. I was pulled out of my nice, deep sleep. But why? I feel Laci thrash in my arms. Oh no. "Laci darling wake up." I shake her a bit.

"Mom!" She cries. She is shaking, and jerking around the bed. Her breathing is really fast, and it's scaring me.

"Laci, Laci you've got to wake up." I tap her on the shoulder.

"Mommy Please!" A sob erupts from her lips, and she moves more. I really have to wake her up. Her hands are balled into tight fists, and her head is jerking back and forth. I crawl onto of her and pin her hands above her head, so she won't hit me, or herself. This just makes it worse. Okay let's try a different approach.

I lay on my side, and pull her to me. "Come back to me." I say gently. "Rose, come back." I rub my thumb on the scar on her back. She curls up in a ball and sobs into my chest. "Shh.. Shh it's okay. You're okay. It's just a dream." But what if it's not? She hasn't had the easiest life, and she's dreamed about Aiden, and her parents before. "Come on you've got to wake up." I say a bit more urgently. She screams a scream that only someone that has gone through a lot of pain can scream. It kills me. "Rose please wake up." My voice cracks. For a second everything stops. Then she starts sobbing again. This is breaking my heart.

"Ashley." She cries.

"I'm right here Rose." I caress her back and kiss her head. She shakes more, and pulls me closer. "I know, I know..." I wish I could just take away all of her pain. Her sobbing slows to a stop, and her breathing slows. After a bit she is asleep again. I place my lips to her head, and a few tears com eout of my eyes. It's not fair to her that she has to go through all of this. She's been going through this alone for years. The thought sickens me. "Never again." I whisper. "Never again.'
